Seriously. I just started rewatching last night for the first time in ages. Right from the get-go, Roger has the best lines and the best delivery. Without him, the show would not have the same sharp wit.
I LOVE Roger. Don gets all the attention, because he's like a hammer -- blunt, powerful, and damn effective. But Rodger is like smooth flowing water (or should we say booze lol), and even despite his own similar failings at marriage and parenting, at least ends up with Marie. MM would not be what it is if Jon Slattery was not there to be the foil. And to deliver those lines perfectly!
