Anyone here ever booked a conference room / meeting room for their work purposes? If so what are the stages? I'm still very noob at this.

Do you pass the information to the finance department for them to liaise with meeting room place to make payment? Or do I ask for the finances to make the payment personally?
Can you pay half the amount to book a location first and the remainder once number of pax is confirmed and finalized?

I'm assuming you're allocating MYR2000 per month for rent and expenses? Based on my survey for property recently, I think you can get a decently comfortable studio around MYR1500-MYR1800 not inclusive of internet and utilities. Could be cheaper if its an older building. Food expenses would depend on your palate and on how often you eat out/cook

Being very disillusioned with my current job, especially because of the boss, basically tries to gaslight and miniscule my every move, but the current job status for anyone with an accounting background is so dire outside of firms in Sarawak, basically underpaid stuff, I probably earned more money delivering parcels part time but that job is so uncertain nowadays while my qualifications and experience aren't enough to take a lead senior role (only an "advanced" diploma)

I don't understand why some places leave the prawn completely whole in the shell when making butter prawns. All the sauce is on the shell which I then mostly don't eat. I've always kept this thought to myself as Malaysians are fiercely ~~dumb~~ protective when it comes to comments of their food.

This is essentially the same observation as the prawns - the sauce is on the skin and the skin needs to be edible to enjoy the flavour. Crispy skin was really only mentioned as a way of having cooked the skin.

Aye. That is why I am more into generational upgrades rather than incremental ones. My PC for example, the jump from i5-4000s and RTX1060 to a Ryzen 5600X and RTX3080 was a significant jump in terms of the performance and what they can do.

I won't say it doesn't work, because caffeine is one of the most researched substance, but I think it is something to do with caffeine sensitivity, where it varies among people, and can change through lifetime too.
I got a friend where she don't feel caffeine at all, and even said drinking coffee at night make her even more sleepy.
I was in similar situation before, where I can double shot tea BOH at night and still sleep like a pig 2 hours later in my mid 20s. But now in my early 30s, I can't even have anything with higher caffeine content pass 6pm unless I want to sleep at the break of dawn. Green tea is the only acceptable caffeinated drinks for me at night, but even that also would keep me up to at least 12.30am.
Because I am undergoing mandatory boarding course and the instruction was participant must do it in training hall / office space. Just that my bosses are super chill people so they told me to do at home. One of them even suggested me balik kampung till I am done with the course.
after cooling down slightly, and rethink the whole pay raise issue, i guess it's still a small step toward something better.
even if I didn't get what I wanted, it is still better than what they wanted to offer.

Why do we have a habit of shunning one another as opposed to trying to explain our points so we can come to further understanding of one another's cultural habits and practices?
Instead we get mad when other factions or races try to gain more understanding of our practices because we feel that they are stepping into territory that they don't belong in? You muslim/non hence this does not concern you, convenient ignoring the fact that perhaps that non/muslim when viewing this from your perspective is able to produce a more nuanced understanding that will perhaps influence his/her future perspectives of similar issues and refrain from expressing ignorance.
This is an interesting topic. When I was writing on my morning pages, I realised I do not like changes, or disrupting my usual routine so I got curious as to why.
So I googled about this. This is apparently a very common thing. Many people do not like changes because of fear of the unknown, losing power, etc.

Hey! Need more clarification on how you do your morning pages since we last discussed it in my previous thread. So know the problem, found the reasons why the problem existed, and do you think or figure out a solution to overcome it? Take this issue as an example.
It started off quite good. Realised I really like writing, basically pouring all my thoughts onto the pages. 4 months later, it is getting harder to fill the pages but I also realised I’ll write the most when I’m having anxiety.
Doing this is a lot of self discovery, since one of the rule is not allowed to read back what I wrote, so I have a separate notebook to jot down things I want to remember or solve.
Have I solve my issues? No not really, but being aware of my problems, my fears etc, gives me clarity and awareness to try things to get out of my comfort zone.
I usually also asked myself a lot of questions. I didn’t know I didn’t like changes at first. It started with procrastination. So I asked myself why is that, then the realisation was because my routine was disrupted. When that happened I just distracted myself and noticed it takes time to go back to my routine. This cycle just kept repeating and is where I realised my dislike of changes when I was writing.
Have you ever wondered what will be said at your funeral?
Like if I were to die now, what stories will people have to tell about me?
Did I do good?
My parents who supported me financially but don't say good things about me, what would they say?
Would they have regretted the mean comments and Insults they've said to me? Or regretted the way they have raised me
My siblings who I depended on emotionally and financially and for advice, what would they say?
My friends, would they tell my family all of my secrets, my hardships and all the wonderful stories we have done and gone through together.
Ultimately for me,
Was I a good person in this lifetime?
Did I help people when I can.
Did I love as hard as I can.
Did I do things that I'm passionate about.

I think antivirus apps are snake oil.
Really what people mostly need is good common sense with untrusted files. If you are unsure of something but need to use it run through google's virustotal.com first.
Also using cloudflare malware blacklist dns resolver goes a long way, blocks all known requests to malwares sites/servers, you won't even be able to access bad things even if you try.

As long u dont click & download dodgy suspicious stuff, u should be safe. Even if u pirate stuff through torrent, check the comments first. Usually they will mention if it's safe or not
I'm not going to say antivirus is pointless, but it's definitely an excessive method to stay safe at the cost of pc performance.

Not sure about brands but for seniors I’d recommend you get an elliptical machine instead of treadmill. It won’t strain the feet and knees as much, prevents pain in the long run.

But if u must stay awake, In my experience, energy drinks like redbull/livita or just chewing gum to keep my mouth moving, Are more effective in keeping me awake than coffee. Coffee seems to be a poor choice to stay awake but popularise by either joke or movies/tv show. At least for me la.
I won't say it doesn't work, because caffeine is one of the most researched substance, but I think it is something to do with caffeine sensitivity, where it varies among people, and can change through lifetime too. I got a friend where she don't feel caffeine at all, and even said drinking coffee at night make her even more sleepy. I was in similar situation before, where I can double shot tea BOH at night and still sleep like a pig 2 hours later in my mid 20s. But now in my early 30s, I can't even have anything with higher caffeine content pass 6pm unless I want to sleep at the break of dawn. Green tea is the only acceptable caffeinated drinks for me at night, but even that also would keep me up to at least 12.30am.

A lil rant to muslims and non muslims alike: Shunning one another does nothing but breed contempt. Why do we have a habit of shunning one another as opposed to trying to explain our points so we can come to further understanding of one another's cultural habits and practices? This is an interesting topic. When I was writing on my morning pages, I realised I do not like changes, or disrupting my usual routine so I got curious as to why. So I googled about this. This is apparently a very common thing. Many people do not like changes because of fear of the unknown, losing power, etc. I am just guessing this may be it? I was watching a documentary of mennonites few days ago. Even in such an isolated community, they shun their own if there are changes to want to help and be better.

It started off quite good. Realised I really like writing, basically pouring all my thoughts onto the pages. 4 months later, it is getting harder to fill the pages but I also realised I’ll write the most when I’m having anxiety. Doing this is a lot of self discovery, since one of the rule is not allowed to read back what I wrote, so I have a separate notebook to jot down things I want to remember or solve. Have I solve my issues? No not really, but being aware of my problems, my fears etc, gives me clarity and awareness to try things to get out of my comfort zone. I usually also asked myself a lot of questions. I didn’t know I didn’t like changes at first. It started with procrastination. So I asked myself why is that, then the realisation was because my routine was disrupted. When that happened I just distracted myself and noticed it takes time to go back to my routine. This cycle just kept repeating and is where I realised my dislike of changes when I was writing.
Have you ever wondered what will be said at your funeral? Like if I were to die now, what stories will people have to tell about me? Did I do good? My parents who supported me financially but don't say good things about me, what would they say? Would they have regretted the mean comments and Insults they've said to me? Or regretted the way they have raised me My siblings who I depended on emotionally and financially and for advice, what would they say? My friends, would they tell my family all of my secrets, my hardships and all the wonderful stories we have done and gone through together. Ultimately for me, Was I a good person in this lifetime? Did I help people when I can. Did I love as hard as I can. Did I do things that I'm passionate about. Did I do something for the world... Ps. Just being emo. Sorry about that...

If you are unsure of something but need to use it run through google's virustotal.com first. Even if u pirate stuff through torrent, check the comments first. Usually they will mention if it's safe or not I'm not going to say antivirus is pointless, but it's definitely an excessive method to stay safe at the cost of pc performance. U can stay safe without it, just have to be more careful and mindful
