I feel like the battery is a little shorter now but only very slightly as I do the 20 - 80% charge thingy. With the latest major update (I think) I have it set to automatically stop at 85%. That and I rarely do Fast Charging.

Qualities that I think, would make a far more caring govt than the out-of-touch men that have been our PM so far.

Currently doing some corrective action. It really make me feel that people who are not doing the job, and couldn't take criticism or questioning on how they conduct audit really shouldn't be auditing other people.
As a hands-on technician before, it really shows that some of the auditor never have experience doing the job that they are auditing and raises some of the most silly demands. Example: You already know only 15ml of samples would be taken and tested in the next stage, then why does it matter that the sample that I prep and distribute to them is 16ml, 17ml, 20ml or 20.5ml? They tester will be only taking 15ml and throw away the rest, as long as the sample is enough and not too much like 100ml causing wastage. It is just ridiculous to demands us to measure out the sample one by one when we got like hundreds of samples everyday.
As times gone by, I really hate getting audit more and more. I feel like audit is just disguise as "oh, it is just for your own improvement, on the process and as a technician", while in fact it is just auditor riding on company fund to visit other places/countries and audit is just an excuse for them to be seen as working.

1st line of defence - operation itself. Operation put in place processes to make sure we do things right.
2nd line of defence - compliance / qc /..... People (internal) who check on operation regularly to make sure we do things right.
3rd line of defence - audit (internal or external). People who once or twice a year come and look look see see.
A good organisation will make sure to have great 1st and 2nd line of defence. With good documentation. Do that, and 3rd line look look see see will be like minor nuisances, Hehehehe...
Maybe it is just the heat of moment that got to me when I write the first comment, I'm not against the idea of auditing. We might not pickup some minor problems due to habit, and a fresh pairs of eyes would be see through that.
The problem I have now is I'm audit against a shifting standard that are getting ridiculous every minutes. Every round of audit would pick up something new that was fine last round, or already did the correction but they change what is ok again after the last correction. It just seems like those auditors never work on the job that they are auditing now, always give out NC then advised corrections that are not practical or would compromise the efficiency of the work, because anyone that did the same job would immediately know how ridiculous it is to implement what they suggest.
Take the one I mentioned above, why would you suggest us to measure out a specific volume with a narrow tolerance, and also want us to record down the volume of each sample, when everyone knows the initial volume doesn't matter because you would be only taking the amount you need anyway and when there are hundreds of sample we need to process everyday? What even funnier is that the auditor won't look at the record in details anyway, and just because of that 1 minutes scan each year, you expect us to write down all the volume everyday?
At first it was "just check and record once in awhile to make sure the volume is correct", it become "why you check once in awhile, it should be everyday but no need every single one though", and then become "just doing it partially is wrong, you should do all sample". It is just ridiculous that how a simple, straight forward test can become so complicated because they wanted to be seen as doing the audit correctly.
In my line of work, we can respond to audit findings, before auditors come up with their report.
We definitely does not treat our auditor comments like a decree, but more like recommendation that we can disagree with.
So if I were in your situation, my team or I will prepare written rebuttal to this auditor "demand", and keep a copy in our file in case bosses ask question later.
I think this is were the process is fucked. The one that set the rules and standard for the audit is also the one doing the audit. So in a way, if you disagree with their assessment, you got no place to make the complaints or rebuttals, because they can just tell you on the spot that your correction will not be accepted by them. QA is also the QC, is not the ideal way so audit, but I'm not sure why this is setup this way.

I was inclined to flat out reject him but there wasn't anyone nearby me in the vicinity. What would you have do differently?

This is my final sem for degree and during my degree I have only used funding from my scholar provider as my parents are also struggling. But since the contract was made during my first year, apparently they give allowance only until May. It should have been fine if it wasn't for covid. After covid, due to pandemic and all, the academic calendar shifted, so I still have two more months in my degree with money to afford less than a month. I still haven't paid my semester fee yet. Don't know what to do. Hoping for some miracle to fall from sky.

What phone do you use? I made the switch from S10+ to S21 Ultra last year, although my biggest regret was them ditching SD cards. If yours rely on SD cards I might suggest waiting and see if they'll bring back SD cards for S23.

I feel like the battery is a little shorter now but only very slightly as I do the 20 - 80% charge thingy. With the latest major update (I think) I have it set to automatically stop at 85%. That and I rarely do Fast Charging. It'll probably hold out for a lot longer than my older phones I guess.

I'm gonna have a super controversial opinion here. Generally most Malay ladies I've met and worked with are generally responsible, willing to be honest, do try their best, and the smart ones, on average, are smarter than the Malay men I've met. Their values are also generally more aligned to mine. They spend money generally wisely, they usually don't blow their money on cigs or drugs or rempit, they generally care for their children (The lady with the Pink Diamond, Rina Harun and Zuraida is the exception, but that's cause there's nothing in her brain except money and power) Qualities that I think, would make a far more caring govt than the out-of-touch men that have been our PM so far. I've given up on non-malays as PM (and frankly I doubt they'll do better given our society), but I think Malay ladies may end up performing better. Someone like Indonesia's Megawati may not be a bad thing for us.

Currently doing some corrective action. It really make me feel that people who are not doing the job, and couldn't take criticism or questioning on how they conduct audit really shouldn't be auditing other people. As a hands-on technician before, it really shows that some of the auditor never have experience doing the job that they are auditing and raises some of the most silly demands. Example: You already know only 15ml of samples would be taken and tested in the next stage, then why does it matter that the sample that I prep and distribute to them is 16ml, 17ml, 20ml or 20.5ml? They tester will be only taking 15ml and throw away the rest, as long as the sample is enough and not too much like 100ml causing wastage. It is just ridiculous to demands us to measure out the sample one by one when we got like hundreds of samples everyday. As times gone by, I really hate getting audit more and more. I feel like audit is just disguise as "oh, it is just for your own improvement, on the process and as a technician", while in fact it is just auditor riding on company fund to visit other places/countries and audit is just an excuse for them to be seen as working.
Have you heard about "3 lines of defence" concept? 1st line of defence - operation itself. Operation put in place processes to make sure we do things right. 2nd line of defence - compliance / qc /..... People (internal) who check on operation regularly to make sure we do things right. 3rd line of defence - audit (internal or external). People who once or twice a year come and look look see see. A good organisation will make sure to have great 1st and 2nd line of defence. With good documentation. Do that, and 3rd line look look see see will be like minor nuisances, Hehehehe...
Maybe it is just the heat of moment that got to me when I write the first comment, I'm not against the idea of auditing. We might not pickup some minor problems due to habit, and a fresh pairs of eyes would be see through that. The problem I have now is I'm audit against a shifting standard that are getting ridiculous every minutes. Every round of audit would pick up something new that was fine last round, or already did the correction but they change what is ok again after the last correction. It just seems like those auditors never work on the job that they are auditing now, always give out NC then advised corrections that are not practical or would compromise the efficiency of the work, because anyone that did the same job would immediately know how ridiculous it is to implement what they suggest. Take the one I mentioned above, why would you suggest us to measure out a specific volume with a narrow tolerance, and also want us to record down the volume of each sample, when everyone knows the initial volume doesn't matter because you would be only taking the amount you need anyway and when there are hundreds of sample we need to process everyday? What even funnier is that the auditor won't look at the record in details anyway, and just because of that 1 minutes scan each year, you expect us to write down all the volume everyday? At first it was "just check and record once in awhile to make sure the volume is correct", it become "why you check once in awhile, it should be everyday but no need every single one though", and then become "just doing it partially is wrong, you should do all sample". It is just ridiculous that how a simple, straight forward test can become so complicated because they wanted to be seen as doing the audit correctly.
In my line of work, we can respond to audit findings, before auditors come up with their report. We definitely does not treat our auditor comments like a decree, but more like recommendation that we can disagree with. So if I were in your situation, my team or I will prepare written rebuttal to this auditor "demand", and keep a copy in our file in case bosses ask question later.
I think this is were the process is fucked. The one that set the rules and standard for the audit is also the one doing the audit. So in a way, if you disagree with their assessment, you got no place to make the complaints or rebuttals, because they can just tell you on the spot that your correction will not be accepted by them. QA is also the QC, is not the ideal way so audit, but I'm not sure why this is setup this way.
TIL modern kids are aware of… unusual arithmetic shortcuts I was babysitting this kid (roughly 7 years old and I was supposed to get him to complete his maths homework. Sounds easy enough. For some context, the homework mainly comprise of simple 2 digits plus 2 digits. So I put him in the study and made him do the homework while I did my work in a nearby room. The understanding is that if he completes the homework, I’ll allow him some “sneaky Netflix time”. Things went well initially. I could vaguely hear him reading out the questions and it sounded like he was trying to calculate some of the numbers verbally. So far, so good. But then things became suspicious — I could hear him repeating the questions multiple times. I quietly sneaked within earshot and I figured out what he was actually saying: “>!Hey Google! What is 20 + 20?!<“
Remember when our teachers told us that we're not going to have a calculator in our pockets at all times in the future, so mental arithmetics is important. Turns out we do carry a calculator in our pockets all the time.
