Don’t ever shave. You’ve body hair yes, it’s not out of control nor are you a werewolf. It’s normal small amount of hair. Men are meant to have hair, its such a masculine look.
I'm 44 and have zero chest or back hair. Very hairy legs though. My doctor said it was normal for someone who with as much aboriginal lineage that I have.
Every adult is supposed to have some body hair. Men and women. It’s not about the gender. Freakin weird that anyone tells any adult they shouldn’t look like an adult.
>Men are meant to have hair
Thank you for calling out how weird this statement by the poster before you was.
Literally almost every adult human on earth has body hair of some kind. It is by definition "meant" for **all of us** to have; that's men, women and everybody else.
I’m a man and am with men most of my life, I’ve never heard a man mention it. Women however, either about themselves or others, regularly. The male gaze is 95% in the female mind.
As someone who grew up with pretty much all girls around me and then spent a lot of time in high school playing sports I had the exact opposite where I saw tons of fucked up stuff guys would say or judge girls for
There's plenty of guys that have porn or mass media portrayal fantasys where girls were perfectly shaven, had very little belly fat/stretch marks, and didn't have visible lips or anything like that. So when they see what a normal women's body looked like they basically straight up insult or shame them. Granted it wasn't all the guys but the reason so many girls cars about that stuff isn't mostly in their head. It's been shown in media and told to them by guys since they were young
I will say times are definitely better now in a lot of ways than it was before but so many adult women still had all that stuff hammered into them from a young age and many guys even today have very unrealistic images of what women are supposed to look like
What does have to do with being honest with his beautiful body? If a woman is hairy it’s her choice and her body like it’s any man’s choice. He asked if he should shave it and I said he’s perfect and manly. If a woman wants to be told that I’ll tell her too.
Men are indirectly told not to have body hair as well, pretty much every model or action star or love interest in a romance movie is all muscle and no hair.
Idk about that one… yeah, a lot of actors and models shave, but it’s because your muscles look bigger without the fur. It’s all for the camera.
If anything, it’s hairless guys who are shamed (from an early age) for “not being masculine”
Agreed. Anecdotal, but I’m a very hairy man, including having a specific type of birthmark called a Hairy Nevus (Becker’s Nevus), and while I’ve been lightly teased by friends I’ve never been shamed for it by women.
I think men with less hair are more likely to be shamed.
(I have shaved everything—and I mean everything—from crown to crotch, tip to taint, excluding my legs, and whenever I do I end up looking like a chubby baby wearing hair chaps.)
Idk, like 95% of the ads I see are for like the Lawn Mower and the sentiment is basically like, “ew, you’re not still sporting chest hair, are you?” Not saying it’s the same as the amount of pressure on women but it’s definitely increasing for men lately. (And prob for the same reasons - to sell more razors)
I know shaming happens. Though most of what I've seen isn't shaming but simply not being attracted to it. I mean, if body hair is generally a masculine look then it's not the craziest idea in the world that no body hair would be a more feminine look. I'm not saying it's fair. But it does kinda make sense. Rough/hard/hairy vs. soft/smooth/hairless. I think most men naturally prefer that independent of any cultural nonsense. The same way a lot of women prefer the opposite in their men. (Although hair can be shaved if you have it, but can't be grown if you genetically don't have it...)
That said I know a lottt of women who don't bother shaving, and they don't get any flak from the friend group. It's more accepted now.
That’s literally untrue. It’s a neutral trait. Most men don’t like bald women. That’s less hair.
Body hair is a sexual maturity marker.
It’s absolutely a cultural thing. Shaving industry convinced you otherwise.
And trust me, it’s more than being quietly not attracted. They’re very vocal.
Yes, I know, like I said I know shaming happens.
Just talking about body hair not head hair. I know body hair is a sign of sexual maturity. No one’s challenging that. But, obviously, that’s not the only thing informing what I’m most attracted to. There’s a lot of beautiful hairy women out there. But in my case—I’m a pretty hairy guy myself. Consequently I’m more attracted to someone not like that. Probably a safe guess that holds true for many of the hairy men of the world. We often like to feel and touch what we don’t have ourselves. Women liking hard bodies, men liking soft bodies, etc etc. (speaking in generalities). Point being I don’t think that particular factor has anything to do with the agendas of Big Shaving.
I’m just saying natural preferences are also a real thing and are fine i.e. not the same as shaming. And people are able to have their own innate preferences that are not affected by cultural forces. You, me, everyone. And I would never condone the vocal shaming of female body hair that does happen. I would just say it’s not wrong for men to not like it either. Should a man be upset if a woman doesn’t like hairy men? I don’t think so. We all have that prerogative. Just need to not be a dick about it.
What I think the comment you replied to was saying was that, while your tastes might seem like 'natural preference' to you, this preference has actually been socially conditioned as a result of decades of marketing by the women's beauty industry. It doesn't make you hateful or mean that you're personally shaming women, but it's worth acknowledging that the preference has (subconsciously) been influenced by a long standing corporate interest that has successfully moulded culture to promote their business. This marketing has historically taken the form of either directly shaming women with body hair, or indirectly by idealizing the hairless woman in ads.
I'd keep it if I were you. You could trim if you feel like it's unruly. I trim mine. But shaving it is unpleasant, it grows out all itchy and scratchy, it's not fun to touch....
I also thought I looked like a plucked chicken the few times I tried. It might've looked better if I waxed rather than shave, but now I like it much better naturally grown. I don't try to hold on to twinkhood anymore😜.
I'm so dense, I didn't realize twinks were sought after when I *was* a twink. I liked hairy, strong men, and figured everyone else did too, so just shied away. If only I had known!
Hahaha aw, missed opportunity. I used to mostly like twinks from like my first sexual fantasies to about 19, then my tastes started to change. I still tried being one myself until like 25 because at the time I felt more confident that way even if I wasn't much into twinks anymore.
I told my husband he didn’t have to continue shaving on my account. I know how uncomfortable and itchy it is when hair grows out! It’s truthfully one of the worst feelings in the world. And I do hate putting my head on a stubbly chest. OUCH.
i think it depends on where you are and what girls you are dating. if you are dating like sorority girls at a state university shave lmao. it will help.
I think you look great! Body hair is not just an aesthetic, it’s also a functional biological feature as well.
- It helps your body maintain body temperature
- Body hair helps protect the body against UV rays, minor abrasions, and insect bites
- Evolutionary protection against the elements in nature
- Body hair is also a sign of high testosterone
- Body hair helps with pheromone distribution across the body which for an evolutionary standpoint helped with mate selection
- From a social standpoint, body hair historically was considered a great achievement for men. It symbolized warriors, strength, and vitality.
Body hair has a lot of biological and social impacts. You look great! Don’t shave it!
LiKE EVERYONE SAYS don't shave .
I also Had someone before tell me to shave my chest before, im like FUCK you it's My body I do whateva I want ! I'ma keep my chest hair and u can go fk yourself.
It doesn't look bad at all. It's a moderate amount of hair and looks good. Unless you're unhappy with it, don't shave it. Especially with your full beard, I personally think you look great.
I’m a woman who likes chest hair and this is a perfect amount. Everyone has their preferences though and I guess it’s about how willing you are to meet them.
No, don't shave, keep it, it looks good.
But if you want to remove your hairs, trim it with a trimmer. Shaving will make your chest uncomfortable and may cause reactions.
Depends on who told you. Long-term lover who wants to know what it's like shaved or has a specific preference? Maybe consider it.
Anybody else, that's a hilarious opinion to have about some random dude. Probably don't shave.
Shave? Absolutely not. Trim it down a little? If you want to, but there's no need.
Couldn't hurt to trim down the armpit hair a little, don't go too short though.
Don't shave such a beautiful gift...
I wasn't offered such, but to my good fortune, the sensation of hair on my bare skin is a tantric intoxication while finding shaved bodies painful and unnatural
Some people prefer smooth & some hairy.
Totally up to you & if you so choose your partner.
I personally think you have a really nice body so it’s going to be pretty difficult to mess you up‼️😁
No homo just tan a little youll be alright man. Women like masculinity generally which comes with right amount of hair. But i personally would go out in the sun at the beach or pool and youll probably be happy with results
"You should shave your chest"- usually comes from either: a small child/ a man who can't grow chest hair and is envious/ a woman subconsciously attracted to children
Don't shave. Looks nice. Humans are hairy. Tbh, I don't think women should feel they need to shave either. If people want to cool, if not, humans are hairy.
Who told you to shave it? The only person who should be allowed to tell you to shave it is 1) a medical person who needs to put sticky electrodes on you (they won’t stick on hair) or 2) a competitive sports coach who thinks it may improve your time.
Your chest hair is great
This is a moderate/normal amount of hair. And with your skin, you would likely just be red and bumpy if you shaved. Super uncomfortable and probably less attractive to your partner than the hair.
It’s not bad per day but I’d shape it out and that’s where it’s tricky. You gotta know how to make it look nice,
I’d say shape out the shoulders and slightly trip the hair on your chest just so slightly that you’ll notice a shade level of deference. Those small details are what makes the bigger picture
First off you're not that hairy
But second if you're gonna remove body hair, wax or laser is the way to go. If you shaved your chest when it grows back it's gonna feel way less nice because those all have big blunt edges now. Highly uncomfortable unless you want to keep up with shaving it.
You have beautiful chest hair. Only shave it if you like it that way. Personally, I find chest stubble to be physically irritating when getting intimate with a hairy-chested individual.
I feel like this is one of those "just do what your girlfriend says" moments, unless you have strong feelings about this. I don't like this personally, but women might.
I'm getting a lot of positive feedback on it. I'm definitely going to keep it now lol. Thanks for the input everybody!
You’ve made the right choice!
dude i would say you have the perfect amount of chest hair. rock that shit proudly
It's always personal preference but I think you look mighty handsome with that fur
Yes, keep it. You’re a grown man, it looks good—you’ve earned it!
>you’ve earned it! "because you're worth it" 😉
♥️
It looks great bro!!! And if you like it, that’s what matters but I’d love a chest like that with that fur!! Haha
Excellent decision! So hot.
Please dont shave. You look super sexy with hair.
![gif](giphy|26BREnyYXsPOxlUKk) I'm trying to be respectfulllllll
Don’t.
Perfection
Don’t ever shave. You’ve body hair yes, it’s not out of control nor are you a werewolf. It’s normal small amount of hair. Men are meant to have hair, its such a masculine look.
As someone who doesn't grow chest hair or back hair I feel attacked.
Give it time....
I'm 42 lol
Thats when my back hair started.... it moved from my head.
I'm 44 and have zero chest or back hair. Very hairy legs though. My doctor said it was normal for someone who with as much aboriginal lineage that I have.
As someone who does, can we trade I don't want it
Every adult is supposed to have some body hair. Men and women. It’s not about the gender. Freakin weird that anyone tells any adult they shouldn’t look like an adult.
Hey, if that's your preference it's your preference, but it's worth to note some ppl prefer shaven, honestly depends on the person.
>Men are meant to have hair Thank you for calling out how weird this statement by the poster before you was. Literally almost every adult human on earth has body hair of some kind. It is by definition "meant" for **all of us** to have; that's men, women and everybody else.
Yet women are shamed endlessly for their body hair.
Only by losers.
Mostly by women, in fact.
I doubt that lmao
I’m a man and am with men most of my life, I’ve never heard a man mention it. Women however, either about themselves or others, regularly. The male gaze is 95% in the female mind.

“Men are meant to have hair”, bro could have said “people are meant to have hair”
Men are indirectly told not to have body hair as well, pretty much every model or action star or love interest in a romance movie is all muscle and no hair.

Yes, because men feel emasculated when women have more hair on their arm than men have on their heads.
Sounds like weak men.
I know shaming happens. Though most of what I've seen isn't shaming but simply not being attracted to it. Shave 🪒 the chest ❌ Tell them you don't want to ✅
Keep it. 🥵🥵
Came here to say this
Definitely not!!
I'm slightly hairier than you. It is not fucking worth it to shave your chest. It only results in sadness.
hair looks good!
It’s sexy
Who told you that?
Don’t fucking shave it!!!!!!
I'd keep it if I were you. You could trim if you feel like it's unruly. I trim mine. But shaving it is unpleasant, it grows out all itchy and scratchy, it's not fun to touch....

Whoever told you that can kick rocks. Don't shave. You look normal and real.
Leave it alone
Shut up you know you're attractive
Looking good, keep the hair 👌
Nope please continue rocking the natural hairy bod until you feel it would make you happy personally.
Who told you to do that? And why did they have that much sway in your option?
Girl I was talking to. Not anymore though. She was like the second to mention it. Some just prefer smooth I guess.
That sucks :/ I wouldn’t consider shaving unless it’s just something you want to try yourself
i think it depends on where you are and what girls you are dating. if you are dating like sorority girls at a state university shave lmao. it will help.
Then she or any other woman who has something to say about it isn’t the right one for you.
Looks perfect. No need to shave 🔥
Men are sometimes hairy
I might be biased but don't shave.
Please don't shave it. 😭
Ignore that person.
No. It is hot. Never trim and never shave. They are jealous of that perfection.

It’s sexy. 💁🏻♂️
Don’t shave! You’re hot!
Depends who told you to shave it. Stranger? Keep it. Girlfriend/SO? Might need to talk with them about it.
Don't. Especially if you like your fur.

I’m a woman who likes chest hair and this is a perfect amount. Everyone has their preferences though and I guess it’s about how willing you are to meet them.
Do not shave. This is not a tip, it is an order
No, don't shave, keep it, it looks good. But if you want to remove your hairs, trim it with a trimmer. Shaving will make your chest uncomfortable and may cause reactions.
Don't you dare!
No not at all! I would leave it like that
Not at all. You look very nice!!
Your chest looks great just as it is.
Depends on who told you. Long-term lover who wants to know what it's like shaved or has a specific preference? Maybe consider it. Anybody else, that's a hilarious opinion to have about some random dude. Probably don't shave.
Don’t shave. Your chest hair looks great on you!
No!! It’s gorgeous! 😍
Body hair looks great. Be proud and rock it

It's so hot. Why would anyone want you to shave??
No. I like it. It’s not super hairy
Don’t do it
Ew for who? Keep that hair man
Keep the hair. Find a girl who likes fur. You look great.

Stop listening to stupid people
No. It’s perfect and manly. Don’t shave it. I want to run my hands through that hair and feel your chest.
You're sexxy AF. Don't shave.
Don't shave such a beautiful gift... I wasn't offered such, but to my good fortune, the sensation of hair on my bare skin is a tantric intoxication while finding shaved bodies painful and unnatural
Wow you are gifted. Your hair is just the right amount and covers exactly what is needed. I say do nothing. You look great!
It’s perfect. Shaved or not you will look great.

It looks hot. Don’t
Woooof 🤤
I like a man with chest hair, you look great Don't listen
It depends on who you ask and how you feel about it. To each their own.
I think this is edging into gay vs str8. Opinions vary on these sides. Not asking you disclose but keep votes in mind.
No looks great dude
I love it 🥰
Your chest looks terrific Hairy… Tell whoever it is to fuck off
Only shave it if you want to. The grow out is itchy and scratchy for you and your partner ![gif](giphy|xT5LMv1wHDl42mqXOE)
Shaved chests are itchy. Not everyone likes body hair, but that’s really their personal preference. You look great, and you don’t need to be hairless.
It looks great! Do not shave
"You should shave your chest"- usually comes from either: a small child/ a man who can't grow chest hair and is envious/ a woman subconsciously attracted to children
Don’t hang out with the person who said that anymore.
Try it and find out if it looks better shaved. There's no harm in it. Your hair will grow back before you know it.
Female here: KEEP IT. Looks hot 🔥
No! Leave it! You look great!
You look great with it
No homo, but that shit is sexy
Who told you?
No don’t do it, it looks good bro
No love it

Coming from a woman who loves it KEEP IT
you’re beautiful. don’t change anything for anyone.
I love it 😻
Why you got those little pink nipples bro 😂
Definitely DON’T shave it.
Looks great.
Please keep it
Do. Not. Shave. A hairy chest is soooo sexy and soft!!! Represents being a real man. Any girl that thinks it’s gross is too young or delusional.
No you are sexy as fuck!
Don't shave. Looks nice. Humans are hairy. Tbh, I don't think women should feel they need to shave either. If people want to cool, if not, humans are hairy.
Do not shave that at all 🤙🏻🤙🏻
Who told you to shave it? The only person who should be allowed to tell you to shave it is 1) a medical person who needs to put sticky electrodes on you (they won’t stick on hair) or 2) a competitive sports coach who thinks it may improve your time. Your chest hair is great
Me n who have chest hair are soo hot🥵🥵🥵
😍
You don't need to. But if you did decide to do it, never shave, only wax.
Why don't shave.
Dude don’t ever shave it, my gf loves my hairy chest.
[удалено]
Shave? Wax it
Please don’t shave, Daddy!
Don’t shave, just trim if you really want
Up to you. I personally don’t like it but you’re not my partner. So shouldn’t matter too much.
Shave your belly and leave the chest. Like Henry Caville
There's a Seinfeld episode where he shaved his chest. It doesn't end well.
You know what you're doing sir
This is a moderate/normal amount of hair. And with your skin, you would likely just be red and bumpy if you shaved. Super uncomfortable and probably less attractive to your partner than the hair.
It’s not bad per day but I’d shape it out and that’s where it’s tricky. I feel like this is one of those "just do what your girlfriend says" moments, unless you have strong feelings about this. I don't like this personally, but women might.
