I'm not offended by homosexuality. In the 60s, I made love to many, many women, often outdoors, in the mud and the rain. It's possible a man slipped in, there would be no way of knowing.
Treat it like any other porch or balcony, a nice glass table w retractable parasol… a few chairs, a bench, plants, lights and a grill… don’t overthink it, it’s just an extension of your living space… is it ground floor?
My outside table doesn’t seem right until I plant my umbrella in the middle, it can make a space feel more quaint, or private, block glare for reading. Is it ground floor?
Looks like a great area for outdoor hobbies. I've turned mine into a few raised garden boxes for growing food. And a bench for bonsai trees. But I know a few of my neighbors have fire pits, pottery, meditation, and stargazing areas. I'm really curious what you end up using it for.
for such a small space, zen garden sounds good. On the other hand maybe a small waterfall with some grass, to make it minimalistic, but that's what I'd like.
I would put in some nice weather proofed decking and a thin frame in the corners for a "roof" of sorts. Not really a roof, just like a stretched rain proof tarp, some cozy outside furniture, maybe some fairy lights along the far wall and just make it into a warm, inviting chill spot.
Put down some nice pavers (stone) and a few planters for flowers and plants. Plop a couple of nice outdoor chairs in the middle with a little table. Would be an amazing little green oasis.
Break down the wall and use galvanized square steel and eco friendly wood veneers to make the space bigger. Borrow some leftover expansion screws from your aunt to make it sturdy for at least 10.000 years.
Become 4’8 and dig a hole until you find gold and yell we’re rich repeatedly to yourself until your throat bleeds, then afterwards kill bugs for the company and pledge to rock and stone
Some terrible and uneven concrete on the floor, dandelions growing out of the wall, an old rusty bike and a 5 a side sized goal crudely painted on the wall.
It will depend massively on how the sun hits this spot. However, with something this small, less is probably going to be more. Some nice paving or perhaps gravel, probably some low level planters with trellis for climbing plants under that window (as long as it gets *some* light), and some simple outdoor furniture should make it a lot better. If that back wall gets sunshine then you could also consider an outdoor sofa or bench with cushions instead.
Painting that wall along the right in a lighter colour can also help make the space feel bigger. They're not for everyone, but a couple of outdoor mirrors (the ones that look like window frames) along that same wall can help it feel bigger too. You just want to be careful you don't reflect direct sunlight around too much and make it uncomforable to sit in certain spots.
Finally, you should consider the lighting for the summer evenings. Festoon lights along the top of the wall on the right would work, or you could get an electrician to install a wall-mounted light or two somewhere. Go for warm white bulbs to get that nice glow.
Finally, finally, if you're getting an electrician to install some lights then you may as well get them to wire up some outdoor plugs at the same time, so you can plug in speakers, a mini fridge, an outdoor heater etc.
Patio pavers on the area nearest the door so you are not tracking dirt in . Plants by the far wall . Add a trellis with a vining plant to soften the look of the darker brick . Couple of comfy chairs and a small table . Sit out there enjoy coffee or wine . Place a lantern with candles for mood lighting on the table . String lights above . Paint that drain pipe the color of the brick so it disappears or grow a vine up it . It’s strange how the topper on the wall is slanted in toward the patio . Seems like it will cause a moisture problem directing rain water into the building instead of away .
You need a Smoker there. Brisket and BBQ in Belgium. You will be a Hero, a Legend. The art of smoking meat will make you a modern day Rubens. Also a guy from Belgium.
Tell no one I have set you on the path.
Can you plant in that soil? If not I would suggest maybe laying some brick for the ground. Maybe do that even if you can plant just leave and easement for the plants.
The brick would match nice next to the buildings.
I lived in Brussels’ Belgium for a while in grad school. I got drunk many a night in similar “yards.” I say through down some paver stones put a small table and grill out there. Call it a day.
Zen garden.
Some fine white sand, a wide toothed wooden rake, some stones, one larger oblong upright stone in the center a few plants or a bonsai tree. Moss fillers, a small stepping stone path. And adding accents of wood like bamboo.
I love the brick
I’d do a small Japanese style garden. A few small steppingstones to a small bench, rock work feature and a small water feature of like a bamboo pipe pouring into a rustic bucket that overflows into a hidden reservoir basin. A few small like topiary style tree/bushes and bamboo plants in pots.
Tiling and drain, a bbq/pizza oven on one side, lot of plants and overall a place to have a good time
Assuming you can do that kind of suff of course, if its rented you might not be able to)
Outside smoke pad/leisure space.
Read a book, smoke, drink some coffee and chill out there.
Shaded mosquito netting and outside, weather resistant furniture.
You Can make a beautiful oasis in this space, a chill spot.
Just make sure your oasis has proper drainage.
With a projector on to one of the walls for movie nights.
OP is from Belgium. It rains 200 days a year.

Treat it like any other porch or balcony, a nice glass table w retractable parasol… a few chairs, a bench, plants, lights and a grill… don’t overthink it, it’s just an extension of your living space… is it ground floor?
parasol? i think it maybe only has a bit of sun at noon and for the rest of the day it seems to be in the shade of buildings
My outside table doesn’t seem right until I plant my umbrella in the middle, it can make a space feel more quaint, or private, block glare for reading. Is it ground floor?
2 chairs and a small table, some form of plant life (the more the better), and if you want it to be super inviting at night, string lights
Put some decking down and a hot tub. 🤔
