Lol I want what that person was smoking. I'm a HUGE fan of romance novels/manwhas/LNs and didnt expect much getting into this arc because come on a fantasy manwha having a romance arc done well? so rare. But god was I blown away by it.
The pacing, the build up (albeit being a fast one which both of them also acknowledged) and the ending was all around just amazing writing.
That's why I said based on them. . If we based it on the novel, it was longer and they described different sweet moments every time mc killed himself just to regress a day. Manhwa cut majority of the fluff to get to the point. .
I know but the guy above is talking from readers perspective obviously, the in universe bit makes sense and I can’t comment on novel I didn’t read it but manhwa pace is really fast

Wasn't a big fan of the romance but at the start but in the end I enjoyed it
Idk who was telling you that, they probably just dont like romance lmao, the arcs are hella good. Constellation killer story in LN is the only point I feel manwha readers might get bored of when drawn, the rest is peak
Bro, Constellation Killer Arc is peak. What are you talking about? It held a lot of emotional weight, heavy themes and it captivated me as much as Murim arc did.
Understandable ig, it was a peak arc, im still not completely caught upto LN but I dont think other arcs were as emotional as that, but they are still damn good
Constellation Killer Arc (next arc) is PEAK Suicide hunter. I dare say that it's as good as, if not better than the Murim Arc. It's fucking good. I just hope season 4 is not like the haunted mansion Arc (not the real name, I forgot the actual name). I can't cry again man - the arc was so sad. Especially when >!he touched each child and they became so happy he played with them and melted!<
Yea next arc gonna be a blast again weeeeee. Actually all arcs so far were pretty much a blast when I read them. Can fully expect good development till season 5 at least or maybe 6 depending on how they go at it.
I haven't read the novel, but the nexr floor is from a book that is based on "those who walk away from omelas" and if its anything to go by then yeah its going to be depressing one
I liked it. In fact, I liked the romance arc more than any previous one in the series so far.
But boy, that was a shitty cliffhanger to close the season on.
They always do that
For some reason they think it's a good idea to leave the season on a cliffhanger and disappear for 6 months like the reader will remember everything after 6 months 😭
To be clear it’s not the idea of cliffhanger in itself that I’m opposing. They are basically inevitable and to some extent even needed in any form of episodic fiction.
It’s that this one was particularly abrupt. It doesn’t even feel like a season finale. It’s not “partial closure with the promise of new threats on the horizon”, but a literal “Let’s stop here in the middle of this library (over)arc. See ya in few months”.
Love it, but I sure as hell hope this isn't going to be a one floor per chapter thing. I don't mind if it is, but that's going to take forever to finish the series.
Kinda Disagree? Because some floors take a long time and some short. Normally if they take a long time to properly cook with 1 floor, they swiftly go through the other floors or tie it into the story to finish up the other floors quickly (like in the aegim empire while they weakened the demon).
Why does it matter if I skip the arc anyway? I have my reasons to do so. Doesn't mean I'll drop the whole series like why the judgment? It isn't affecting any of you guys and I'm not even being negative in the comments
These aren’t self contained arcs. The developments and characters introduced don’t just disappear. That’s one of the strengths of this series. Even in the novel, the deaths of the children in the mansion are still brought up and relevant. You’ll be lost without understand who is who and what they can do.
I don't care about all that. I'm just not in a period where I can care about every single detail of a plot. I just want to know if skipping this arc would affect any upcoming arcs. I'll just assume the characters had their developments, and I know most of them since I read the wiki
I would say you would miss quite a bit especially in the last 2 chapters.
Also you can just not care and just read it. The arc was quite good and has a few moments that definitely will be referenced later to which I can't go into much detail. You don't even need to care about every single detail and can just read it at your own pace (especially when the season ended and it will take a few months to start again)
If I remember correctly, the next arc will be one mini arc that then leads into a main arc. There are several pieces of information that have importance in both the mini and main arc, but theoretically I suppose you can skip it? Since that info is more set up then a direct continuation of the events of the academy. I could summarize the main pieces if you'd like. But, personally speaking, even if there isn't much plot relevant details, this is a very important arc for Gongja's character and also my favorite, and I'm not sure why you'd want to skip it.
I'm going through burnout and I have zero motivation to read something completely these days. I'm lost tbh and it takes months for me to recover from this. I'm curious about the arc but I dropped it 10 chapters in because I couldn't focus on anything at all. This is a problem from my side. And it's hard to pick up something or an arc that I dropped. This happened with nano machine arcs last year to me
I don't want to miss out so I would appreciate if you could summarize the main points
Fair enough, hope the burnout improves dude. Here's what I remember as the main things to know (bear in mind, it's been a while since I've read the novel so some of it might be inaccurate):
Can't get the spoiler tag to work so beware Spoilers
- Gongja gets married to one of the academy denizens, the villaness of the novel, Raviel Evansia, and is very happy with her
- Raviel also loops, but on a different cycle. If two loops end at the same time (like by the loopera both dying at the same time), then both loopers retain their memories and go back in time.
- Gongja met the main constellations leading the tower after finding a failing in the skills. He was able to convince the tower head to alter things so that Raviel can remember the loops alongside Gongja, even outside the floor. This way, the time they spend together will always be remembered by both (this effect happens even if the two aren't nearby when Gongja loops)
- constellations can grant their apostles (worshipers) blessings. The magic of constellations warp the laws of the area surrounding them (by like adding rules or changing them), and effect everybody equally (so they can be exploited by others). Key point, blessings are not skills, so Gongja can't copy them.
- there were three constellations that tried to invade the world of the academy (since their constellation was dead). An ox thing that reduced all physical damage to near zero, some warhorse general guy who can summon his dead soldiers at their prime, and this circle of children that warp minds and make people live their happiest memory (called the immortal missionary of happiness)
- the academy world was invaded because their constellation was dead, also killed by the Constellation Killer.
- the time loop the world is trapped in was the result of Ivansia piercing her hurt with Prayer, another of the Shiny's sister sword
- Gongja has gained Prayer after finishing the floor, which gives him the ability to force people to not pursue their deepest wish if their hearts are pierced by prayer
- gongja has again impressed the librarian
Okay, I think that's everything, or at least the important stuff. Hope this helps, and happy reading.
Oh shit season 3 ended, now I can binge read it.
Idk why, but I only read stuff when there's a lot out. I guess I just like having one story at a time? All my manhwas are read in phases
Idk what you've read or what you like but here ya go
-Lazy Lord Masters the Sword/Reformation of the Deadbeat Noble
-Worthless Regression
-Eleceed
-Damn Reincarnation
-Pick Me Up! Infinite Gatcha
-Doctor's Rebirth
-Jungle Juice
-Parallel City
-Omniscient Reader Viewpoint
-Legend of the Northern Blade
-Reincarnation of the Suicidal Battle God/Doombreaker
You know, for no reason at all I've been avoiding ORV like Homestuck, but I think your list has finally motivated me to give it a try 👍 Ty for the recs 💥‼️
The murim arc was the peak of the series so far. Now that said that doesn't mean that this arc was bad it was just different... first and second arc folllow a formula which is what made everyone enjoy it and the third one is trying something new it might be a hit or a miss depending of the person. None of my friends have really enjoyed it much. Personally i love the love interest of this arc and how much attention and detail was used to explain how much this two characters are connected now but while i was reading this arc i felt i was reading a total different manhwa.... which is not good for SSS-Class Suicide Hunter. Let's be honest here most of people who really like this manhwa is here for the action and the twisted/crazy behavior of the MC. Romance is alright since it can used for character development and move the story foward but making it the main topic of the series is something im not interested in reading.
I would say he is strong and his skill is OP but being OP does nothing for him in the long term of the story since this manhwa leans more towards character development, bonds, relationship, mental pain, emotional and philosophical
If you want to read a good story with great character depth then yeah it's worth reading it
It...
Really, really isn't.
Unless you consider the MC "overpowered" because he is willing to groundhog day situations over and over for literally hundreds of years until he can get through them without anyone dying.
I mean I guess he is but the process kinda sucks a whole lot for him.
Just wait until the arc after the arc after the arc that will be season 4.
(Religion) -> (Constellation Killer) -> (then shit gets weird)
Tbf I loved the religion arc and the Constellation Killer arc.
Then shit gets weird.
Still brilliant.
But weird.
I'm curious what people found interesting about the romance arc.
I've read up to the beginnings of the romance arc to the point where the fighting is just about to start.
From the previous murim arc it's easy to point out impactful leading moments that made the climax hit hard and keep that feeling lingering.
The training arc from the murim places the reader to understand the dynamics of the student to the blade they wield. That the blade is irrelevant without the purpose of why they wield it in the first place.
Then goes on to showing the reader the yin and yang of the heavenly and the demonic murim (might be getting the verbiage wrong. It's been a while since I've read the panels) and how important those leaders interactions were to each other and the respect they hold for one another despite being opponents.
This then leads to the interaction between student and teacher and the lingering pain after all the buildup that the story provides for the readers to say goodbye that has an effect on the reader for moments long after the arc was read.
The architect of the murim arc was done masterfully from an outline point of view. If I read the murim arc from just the beginnings I wouldn't have as high an opinion of the total arc. I'd just think it's a corny beginnings of this clan vs that clan without realizing the depth that the author provides later in the arc.
Maybe it's the same thing. Having just read the beginnings into what I imagine is the rising point of the romance arc I'm missing the critical part of the story that made the previous arc a standout. Or maybe not, I'll get to read it all eventually.
You said it yourself, you're in for one of the best (if not the best) romance arcs I've ever read. Tho I have to admit the start doesn't sell it very well
Points to consider:
1. Sword Emperor chastised the Heavenly Demon for teaching Gongja about a martial art based on pain when he does not know happiness to counter it.
2. This is because it literally puts his sanity at risk to use the Demonic Arts without having some kind of contrast.
3. Raviel is awesome.
4. Raviel is *fucking hilarious.*
5. Raviel is awesome.
6. Also - the romance arc teaches Gongja a lot of things he ends up needing later. He only gets through the next two arcs *at all* because of the things he learns from "get used to human garbage and scum" girl.
7. Also without her he literally could not possess the comprehension to do some of the things he does after the Constellation Killer arc, or even know they were needed.
8. Also Raviel is *fucking awesome.*
This season felt the weakest for me. But it’s still a great manhwa. My favorite part was when they broke the system so MC could go back to before the day he entered the world. The romance felt like too much tho. Felt more like teenagers dating for the first time than an actual relational between adults.
Is that not what it was? Gongja stated he wanted to know how to love and how to express it basically his first experience, and Raviel wanted to find a way to fix the toxic kind of way she loved the prince or was more or less cursed to only love the prince in the earlier stages of their relationship. But if you don’t like borderline teen romance that’s a you thing so it makes sense.
Especially since she cracks jokes about that specific thing throughout the entire latter half of the arc.
Also also there's the bit later when he dies and she shows up and says "who the fuck killed my wife" because she doesn't let that joke go at all, even if the localization team doesn't seem to get it at all
*Goddammit guys she's been saying she wears the pants in their relationship for like 50 chapters at this point how do you not get this joke yet*
Already over?? I recall waiting ages for the next season after finishing Murim. Heard the story came back and concluded an Otome arc. Aaaand its the end of season??!
Back in my day, a season would consist of multiple arcs before ending. Minimum of 50-100 chapters per season.
I personally liked this arc a lot more than the murim arc, I think it was because we finally see Kim find happiness in not being the only one burdened/blessed with immortality
Very good for a manhwa in general but perhaps a slight step down from season 1&2 imo. No complaints really just didn’t quite reach the heights of the first two for me.
Personally I disliked how long it took to get through it. With tower manhwas I don’t like them spending so much time on one floor or section, like I want you to climb the tower. Plus I also don’t like romance in action. If I want romance I’ll read it knowing there’s going to be romance but I wanted action and just action. But over all it was well done, just not my preference.
Absolute great read weeeee. Wasn't disappointed at all with how they adapted the romance arc, heck I frigging loved it. Was actually fanboying the fuck out when the romance floor started lol
I love it i like that author is covering all genre and i love renin character she is a perferct match for mc i hooe we seeor of her in future its rare for action manhua to have romance plot normally it happen at the end of the story but he got straight up marry
I'm a huge fan of sweet, loyalty and trust centered romance. This arc absolutely blew me away. The skill Raviel ended up obtaining was such a great addition too. There isn't a single thing I disliked, which is, very honestly, a miracle in my eyes. I can't wait to read more of this. I might even start reading the novel.
just a quick question to the people who read the novel
(i love this series so much its peak manhwa)
but will the 6 other apocalypses take as long, because i feel like the manhwa will feel slowpaced after a while or will they do 2 apocalypses in one season or something similar
Gongja only takes the real fucked floors iirc. Murim was 21st I think and Laviel was 25th, that means other hunters cleared 22nd, 23rd and 24th floors and I think someone mentioned floors 26 and 27 being cleared meaning next arc is floor 28
Bruh it was better than 99.9 percent of these tower/action/ skill board type manhwa it was actually pretty well written and I mean it felt a bit rushed but even the characters acknowledged that
I think it was the best season tbh. Most manwha is completely forgettable copy pastes of each other. This last season was a nice breath of fresher air due to the romance novel arc.

Tbf it wasn't fast paced if based on them since they have regression powers. . Those few chapters are likely a few months to them. .

Peak kino, author cooked https://preview.redd.it/v28dwmsxqxmc1.jpeg?width=697&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=db738209080deef4a6b95552230fa509d7dd3738
I liked it. In fact, I liked the romance arc more than any previous one in the series so far. But boy, that was a shitty cliffhanger to close the season on.
They always do that For some reason they think it's a good idea to leave the season on a cliffhanger and disappear for 6 months like the reader will remember everything after 6 months 😭
If the manhwa ended here, I'd be satisfied. He won the love *and* respect of best girl. For life, and not even death can keep them apart.
Love it, but I sure as hell hope this isn't going to be a one floor per chapter thing. I don't mind if it is, but that's going to take forever to finish the series.
He only does floors that are going to be fucked. The romance floor was 25th one so that means the others did 22,23,24 by themselves
And 26 and 27, the last chapter showed that they were already cleared too. Mc did the 22nd (murim) and the 25th
Just like what happened with floors 21-30, Im sure they gonna skip some floors along the way.
Kinda Disagree? Because some floors take a long time and some short. Normally if they take a long time to properly cook with 1 floor, they swiftly go through the other floors or tie it into the story to finish up the other floors quickly (like in the aegim empire while they weakened the demon).
Time to binge read it. Is the whole Arc over?
Season 3 did just finished. However depends on what you mean by "Arc", I mean the romance floor is over but they still are in the library.
Oh okay , yea that what I meant , the romance arc. Time to reread it!
Can I skip this arc and read the next arc when it comes out? Like will I miss any information or are these arcs connected?
Just drop the manhwa if you are going to skip arcs
This happened with nano machine arcs last year to me I don't want to miss out so I would appreciate if you could summarize the main points
Fair enough, hope the burnout improves dude. Here's what I remember as the main things to know (bear in mind, it's been a while since I've read the novel so some of it might be inaccurate): Can't get the spoiler tag to work so beware Spoilers - Gongja gets married to one of the academy denizens, the villaness of the novel, Raviel Evansia, and is very happy with her - Raviel also loops, but on a different cycle. This way, the time they spend together will always be remembered by both (this effect happens even if the two aren't nearby when Gongja loops) - constellations can grant their apostles (worshipers) blessings. An ox thing that reduced all physical damage to near zero, some warhorse general guy who can summon his dead soldiers at their prime, and this circle of children that warp minds and make people live their happiest memory (called the immortal missionary of happiness) - the academy world was invaded because their constellation was dead, also killed by the Constellation Killer. - the time loop the world is trapped in was the result of Ivansia piercing her hurt with Prayer, another of the Shiny's sister sword - Gongja has gained Prayer after finishing the floor, which gives him the ability to force people to not pursue their deepest wish if their hearts are pierced by prayer - gongja has again impressed the librarian Okay, I think that's everything, or at least the important stuff. Hope this helps, and happy reading.
Btw you messed up the spoiler
I'm aware lol, it's freaking out with the list so I'm just not gonna bother
I hope you know that you're awesome
fun read but imo not as good as most people here say it is. Like a 7/10
Pls come back before 6 months 😭
Better to wait 6 months than for it to end up with awful art
Oh shit season 3 ended, now I can binge read it. Idk why, but I only read stuff when there's a lot out. I guess I just like having one story at a time? All my manhwas are read in phases
Any semi-completed ones you recommend to read meanwhile? Like you, I like stories in chunks and am wondering what to casually read next 😂
Idk what you've read or what you like but here ya go -Lazy Lord Masters the Sword/Reformation of the Deadbeat Noble -Worthless Regression -Eleceed -Damn Reincarnation -Pick Me Up! Infinite Gatcha -Doctor's Rebirth -Jungle Juice -Parallel City -Omniscient Reader Viewpoint -Legend of the Northern Blade -Reincarnation of the Suicidal Battle God/Doombreaker
Up for Worthless Regression. It's amazing, actually. Like Gongja, the main character is also desperate desperate.
Noted! Haven't read worthless regression yet so I'll definitely check this out 🙇
You know, for no reason at all I've been avoiding ORV like Homestuck, but I think your list has finally motivated me to give it a try 👍 Ty for the recs 💥‼️
Nice, I can finally read it after stopping at the end of season 1.
Insanely good. I was not expecting to be this invested in a romance arc
I think it was the best season out of the 3. Hope next one is at least the same quality and caliber
Is this manwha worth reading? It just looks like another mc carried by a system and gets op in like 5 chapters
I would say he is strong and his skill is OP but being OP does nothing for him in the long term of the story since this manhwa leans more towards character development, bonds, relationship, mental pain, emotional and philosophical If you want to read a good story with great character depth then yeah it's worth reading it
(Religion) -> (Constellation Killer) -> (then shit gets weird) Tbf I loved the religion arc and the Constellation Killer arc. Then shit gets weird. Still brilliant. But weird.
Peak love story
I enjoyed it,
I want Raviel to step on me.
Tho I have to admit the start doesn't sell it very well
Points to consider: 1. 4. Raviel is *fucking hilarious.* 5.
It was OK, previous arc was peak
Too much romance, didn't like it tbh (just my opinion)
Come on be like viper
Where can I read this on my phone? I have a long car ride coming up and am hoping to binge something
The GOAT.
I enjoyed the read. Can’t wait for the next arc.
Very good arc. Sad it ended
Is the first one with revenge a good manhwa to read?
Just as good as season 2. Next arc will be hype.
Goated
My only disappointment is that they didn’t translate Raviel as the husband and Gong-Ja as the wife.
Especially since she cracks jokes about that specific thing throughout the entire latter half of the arc. Also also there's the bit later when he dies and she shows up and says "who the fuck killed my wife" because she doesn't let that joke go at all, even if the localization team doesn't seem to get it at all *Goddammit guys she's been saying she wears the pants in their relationship for like 50 chapters at this point how do you not get this joke yet*
Just as peak as it's always been
This story gets better and better while feeling like it’s improving chapter by chapter.
bro the romance arc was actually peak fiction. i was skeptical at first but holy shit they were cooking with it
its finished? time to binged read the whole season then.
Yeah, it’s nice to see a series where the MC confides their secret relatively early like this.
Followed this title since it had like 40 chapters. This season is definitely its peak, or at least as emotional as the murim arc.
Man i gotta finish this is my opinion
Peak arc, my favorite so far
Very good for a manhwa in general but perhaps a slight step down from season 1&2 imo. No complaints really just didn’t quite reach the heights of the first two for me.
Just one word. GOATED!
If y'all wanna pick up the novel I suggest starting from chapter 120
Too short I need many many more chapters
Live season end reaction https://preview.redd.it/514elvtyh0nc1.jpeg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=acaa356d9ce41c2efc29f31bd58459ad249d2c16
This was Peak
Hold on lemme re read it first to really be able to collect my thoughts gimme a week
Only we the reader got to see how it was cooked. God damn it was delish
Peak fiction. https://preview.redd.it/sh67wqbbg1nc1.jpeg?width=800&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ba53bb30eaf38a774de2e8b722b6a9e29e4de6f0
Damn any news on when the next season is?
Any idea on when will the series continue?
The romance arc was insanely good. This manhwa is in my top 3
I know most people liked the rom arc, but In my opinion, it was too long, I hoped they ended in 10ch
the longest and the shorted most plot dense arc i have ever read
Wife good
My opinion is they ended it so soon i want to see the next floor get drawn in the manhwa😭
Peak as usual.
Too short https://preview.redd.it/xicgvo7by3nc1.jpeg?width=548&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8dc86da9803eebf2a8d4dc8bce72a1002b1e4100
Murim arc was amazing. Romance arc was amazing. Was a fantastic season
I was using tachiyomi to read my manga but they stop what a good app or page for manga?
I don't like romantic part in action but this one was art.
I can’t wait for the next season! It was enjoyable that’s for sure & especially the quality of the artwork a masterpiece.
I enjoyed it for what it was but the romance was too fast-paced for me. (Converting LN to Manwha problem probably) Murim arc is still better.
I might even start reading the novel.
where do i start the novel from after chapter 115??
yo quiero saber cuando sale la 4
When will the next chapter be out?!
just a quick question to the people who read the novel (i love this series so much its peak manhwa) but will the 6 other apocalypses take as long, because i feel like the manhwa will feel slowpaced after a while or will they do 2 apocalypses in one season or something similar
Nah other hunters partake in apocalypses too so some other floors are already cleared
Has the novel ended or is it ongoing?
Pretty sure it ended at 400 ~~around 415\~~~, current proper translation is at 350. Manhwa is at chapter 120\~ of the novel.
It ends at exactly 400 chapters.
I apologize for my grave mistake.
Really? It feels hard to see how the story will end just 50 chapters from where we are now.
ah alright thanks
Gongja only takes the real fucked floors iirc. Murim was 21st I think and Laviel was 25th, that means other hunters cleared 22nd, 23rd and 24th floors and I think someone mentioned floors 26 and 27 being cleared meaning next arc is floor 28
I liked it even though it felt like the relationship but was forced and dragging at parts but it wasn't bad by all means
it was so good it made me shit myself
The whole love bit was bullshit.
Bruh it was better than 99.9 percent of these tower/action/ skill board type manhwa it was actually pretty well written and I mean it felt a bit rushed but even the characters acknowledged that
Bruh there's barely any romance in action or fantasy manhwas. I aint agreeing with the dude above but it's not a high bar to cross at all
It does cross it at least is my point it’s usually just harem crap
Lol you talk like it's a big achievement.
Bro I swear it’s a try not to write a braindead fl challenge in these types of stories
I agree..that love scenario book is so boring for me
It was boring as hell.
finally, a good rormance in a action series
I think it was the best season tbh. Most manwha is completely forgettable copy pastes of each other. This last season was a nice breath of fresher air due to the romance novel arc.
genuinely just as enjoyable as the murim ark. idk why people kept telling me it getting boring and bad after it, but it was genuinely so good.
best arc in the series so far
