sawol-

this series is so consistent with it's arcs. sure, subjectively there might be dislikes about it, but objectively they are delivered well enough. I'm so curious about the constellation killer dude

ShadowMagister

Which arc are we on right now? (I can tell you how close a reveal is based on the novel)

Aware_Masterpiece_92

The romance arc just ended

ShadowMagister

Then the next 20 or so chapters are all about Lefanta Aegim and History.

Fuckthisusernamepls

Ayo give spoilers not too much in details tho

I actually feel like you're underselling how good it is >!“I give up the memories of children's smiles”!< >!“I renounce the scent of all flowers”!< >!“I throw away the scent of the sea”!< >!"I give up my memory of people’s screams when they are in pain”!< honestly it's so metal. and the way they >!start their fight!< >!“What is the Demonic Sect?”!< >!“It is a blade that responds to all screams.”!< >!“What is a young master?”!< >!“It is the first sword to be swung.”!< >!“What is Death King?”!< >!“It is the name of the person who will kill you.”!< >!“Constellation Killer. Do you have any memories of hunger?”!< >!“It is written in the diary. However, as far as the memories in my head, I have none. I have no memory of hunger.” (which is think is a beautiful little detail considering the person he was before he was the constellation killer!< >!“That will be your downfall.”!< AND THEN THE PASSAGES WHEN >!HE COMES BACK!< >!“On the way, I saw an old man planting something in a flower pot.”!< >!“The flowerpot was small. Petite. The man’s life had become old and lacking, and he was planting his all into a single flowerpot. For a moment, I saw the flowerpot that contained the old man’s life. Life, regardless of size, can be beautiful so long as it can be contained somewhere.”!< >!“One strike. Strengthening.”!< >!“I forsake the memories of the old man and the pot.”!< >!“I overheard people whispering in the alley.”!< >!“I couldn’t understand them, so I shan’t say they were voices. But I cannot say it was mere noise because I wanted to understand them. The allure of something you don’t understand. I wondered if that was a sign of beauty. I thought the sound of the alley was beautiful.”!< >!“While walking, I stepped on the ground. The feeling of touching the ground was new to me. It was firm. It was nice. I thought that maybe the people of the world would become nicer if they walked around on bare feet. Then, I felt pained because I thought they would step on a glass shard. The people who walk barefoot in this world are good people, but that is why they will always be in pain.”!< >!“Strengthening one blow.”!< >!"I abandon all the beauty of the world."< the way he >!is just like gongja in finding love for humans and yet the dichotomous usage of their memories in their skills!< is so poetic

Sansandpapyrus9911

Just thought you'd wanna know that a lot of those spoiler marks didn't work 😅

NilesStyles

Damn it worked in the preview and worked in my desktop version but not mobile idk why

Jnam77

You forgot to add ! before the <

ShadowMagister

Hell you guys gave better description of the fight than I ever could. It was a peak fight, and even the next arc >!of Aegim's childhood was peak!<

ShadowMagister

>! Ah yes the whole highschool arc was peak !< and for the naming you know how we use Le La in french, just think of the name as Le Fanta (the drink lol)

ShadowMagister

Beautiful

rider_shadow

After he completes this next level (it won't be too long) >! he will enter the constellation killer's book that the librarian possesses!<

Economy_Ad_5435

You know the studios gonna have a field day when they start describing how Lefanta Aegim fights. Still get goosebumps man

Aware_Masterpiece_92

HYPE

[deleted]

I hated that arc. Choice of his wife seems wasted when they were hinting at black dragon mage lady. And his wife is sidelined now.

thetdumbkid

where tf did dragon come from? she's had 0 dragon connotations bro

confusedwiz

me too! But I am thinking about reading the novel from the start, generally the novel is always better than manhwa.

ShadowMagister

Read the novel!! You can start from somwhere around chapter 119. That's where the romance arc was about to end iirc.

Odd_Refrigerator8088

Maybe the dislikes are because they are peoples who don't like concept of play-role and I'm one of them, normally i would just drop them but this manhwa is really good, i can't just ignore it, i love the plot, storyline, the art

Belkinwrites

Don't worry, after this floor comes a damn good lore drop!

Wandergirl2019

Link pls

NamisKnockers

Alright I’m gonna have to read this.  It’s been mentioned enough lol

EbisuMage

Same lol keep seeing it floating around

pahaonta

Just a heads up, personally in some arcs the build up takes a while, so there are parts where you'll feel it became slow. But it will give you great ending.

Drofiki14

I personally hate that slow arcs turn people off. AOT had a slow but informative szn and it was godly. The finished product is soooo much more important imo.

Drofiki14

Easily up there right behind Solo lvling, ORV and TBATE. Second life ranker just came back. Player who can't lvl up Lvling with the gods is good Return of the frozen player Dare i mention second coming of gluttony?

ShadowMagister

This is a masterpiece. No other words for it. Best regression, romance, action, storyline, murim and fantasy all cooked together to present this peak.

ShadowMagister

Why the downvotes lol

confusedwiz

I agree with you, and I guess they were "offended" by using "best" instead of using "of the best"

confusedwiz

Or they like cliche jerk/op MC without any character development to MC or side character.

ShadowMagister

Lol possible. But ig someone was just offended somehow

Boo_07

Some think we're glazing the series too much.

ThunderShot-Pro

Any others like this thag have actual story development

K_76

I really wanted to know why the upcoming chapter are not released ?

confusedwiz

Haitus, need to wait now.

K_76

Is there any date ? When will it start ?

BondedgeXD

I JUST caught up to it today! I usually stop whenever a season ends so I read season 3 for the first time during my entire break at school and during dinner. Truly, WOW was the only word I could mutter too

Hot_Recording_7184

Good shit. definitely recommend 👍.

[deleted]

This mahnwa is booming up I want to know what so special about it.

Academic-Ice2677

They keep dropping 10/10 arcs.

[deleted]

is s3 good? I read the ln and it gave me goosebumps. Is it as good as the ln?

Guacamoliluo

I’m sorry but does it get better from chapter 20 and onwards? I had to drop it cuz I couldn’t find myself enjoying it at all

putkeymara

Is the 3rd season ending?

Alone-Fuel-6988

I read fortune as fortnite Holy sjit I'm addicted

DeusPrimusMaximus

3rd time, bro touch grass

VladtheImpaler21

I couldn't get into it as his time travel power is a huge plot hole in of itself and makes the action and plot feel pointless.

confusedwiz

All I can ask is that if you can try to read till ch 25-30, it's MC is completely different from other Manhwas. For me it was a completely new experience.

Ananas1214

honestly the way that time travel was presented never gave a huge plot hole (if you think about it, of course killing mean fire guy BEFORE he gets his power would result in him being definitively killed, and since only the guy who dies keeps his memories he can't be aware it was going on) and while the story progresses, the time travel isn't just forgotten about and never used, it's quite literally the center of the story all the way through. i've honestly never seen the act of regression so well used in any manwha i've ever read and i'm a huge sucker for those kinds of stories so i've seen a lot please give it another try, if you find the will to do it

Xarviz01

I am also reading this manhwa and I am caught up, I do enjoy reading it, but I don't think that it's objectively very good, so let me try and take a guess at what that guy meant. First of all, the quickness and almost complete lack of build up that leads MC to the conclusion that he should kill himself four thousand times was a huge plot hole and bad sign for me. I actually couldn't believe he just went though with it seemingly not giving it a second thought or agonizing about it in any way. And there were SO MANY FACTORS to think about like: - He did not know if his age would decrease as he went back (I hope this is self-explanatory), - Knowing he can never return to the present, he didn't even think about what he was leavinf behind, no friends, no family, nobody and nothing he cares about (that's absolutely insane! I'm sure people like that exist, but they are definitely not as well adjusted as he is) And those two HUGE reasons are just naming a few! And then there is the fact that he actually just did it, and not only do we not get to see it almost at all in the manhwa, but it's not a streatch to say that the whole process of KILLING YOURSELF THOUSANDS OF TIMES has almost no effect on his mental state, he literally gets over it in less than a day iirc. This story is littered with things like that, this is just the opening chapters you know. The characters don't even try to pretend to be real people that can be empathised with, or understood - they act like characters with no pretense at trying to convince us they are their own beings. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but I'm sure you can see why many people can see it as a plot hole. I choose to embrace this peculiar way of storytelling, and I'm enjoying it, but I don't think that calling it a "plot hole" is a streatch, and I can definitely understand where that guy is coming from. I know I wrote a lot, and most of it is negative so this comment will likely not be popular, but I really wanted to share my thoughts on this, and also I LIKE THIS MANHWA, I'M ENJOYING IT! TL;DR: MC has the mental fortitude of a God, and makes life and world altering decisions without a second thought - that's what can be considered a plot hole. The characters aren't trying to, and don't, think like real people and even though it sounds negative, I think it's a strong point of this manhwa. I like this unusual way of storytelling, but also think it's quite badly written compared to other stories.

Ananas1214

i think this and the whole section describing all his repeats of the 10 floors of the autumn demon king actually just shows the character very well. the mc IS someone with the mental fortitude of a god, and with the benevolence he possesses to add to that i think it was the author's goal to basically characterize him as a the second coming of christ or something he has martyred himself by dying endless times to save more people, either because he spites fire guy that much, or because he simply is that good of a human being, imo that's why this manwha feels so great, mc has obtained an insane power and is basically using it for absolute good (so far) by trying to make everyone happy and after a while, he ends up succeeding i find it very joyful to read because the mc does something basically no one would be capable of for the greater good, and you get to see what he did (since part of the plot is also the fact that no one can know how much he has done for the world because they never remember, it puts you in that privileged "i saw it!" spot)

Xarviz01

Yeah I totally agree with all of that actually. I just think that because there is nobody that someone this flawless and at the same time simple-mindedly dedicated to his goal would ever exist. And because I don't think someone like this could ever exist, I think that the character writing of this manga is bad because there is no attempt to make him believable, and no lore explanation for why he is so godly. HOWEVER, that is also exactly why I also enjoy reading it! It's super interesting and fun to see him be this flawless and come up with extremely selfless solutions to problems that no normal person could ever think of. And then also proceeding to flawlessly execute those solutions without basically any struggle. I don't think it's well written, but I honestly don't care. I always enjoyed power fantasies and this one is really interesting, and "joyful" as you said! That's my full stance on this, I think we are in agreement here

Ananas1214

what do you mean without any struggles though, he spends literally hundreds of death fighting the demon king when the other guys he left behind to have a perfect resolution would clap it in an instant (though it wouldn't solve the overall problem of those layers) same for the murim part where he suffers through the most horrible deaths just to obtain that better ending the entire manwha is about this guy struggling and suffering eternally so he can give the good part to the try where he succeeds it's a given his final execution is flawless, the guy has hundreds of tries at least on every thing he attempts

Xarviz01

Well... I just mean that he always succeeds perfectly, and even his struggles never really feel like struggles to me, I don't really buy into his pain because I never feel like he's actually hurting, it always feels like it's just a step he decided to take on his path towards victory. Maybe it's because I don't buy his character as a person with emotions and issues... Maybe it's because I know that he will always overcome anything, and not get any trauma or anything like that... I know I've tried to argue everything really well so far, but here I just don't know. I think I don't see it as a struggle, even when he is literally struggling, because he doesn't feel like a person, and instead like a perfect character.

Ananas1214

what you mean is that he isn't suffering the trauma he "should" from dying a bunch of times, that i agree but that's what makes him the second coming of jesus guy, he suffers so much yet still ends his runs with a smile on his face because he was prepared when he started climbing to do that

Latter-Potential2467

> I actually couldn't believe he just went though with it seemingly not giving it a second thought or agonizing about it in any way. He literally did? Like thats the whole reason it took him much more deaths is because he was hesitating too much. > KILLING YOURSELF THOUSANDS OF TIMES has almost no effect on his mental state, he literally gets over it in less than a day iirc. It definetly gets touched, it's brought up many times both from pov of how his life before it made the way he was and how it affected him after. > but I don't think that calling it a "plot hole" is a streatch, Except it's litterally not a plot hole like by definition, like at worst you could call it bad writing but that not synonymous with plot hole.

Xarviz01

> He literally did? Like thats the whole reason it took him much more deaths First of all, we do not get to see his agony almost at all, so from our perspective this whole process is basically painless and really quick. (If they showed us his pain I would not be complaining, but seeing a guy stab himself a few times and then being told "Oh btw it took him a little longer to do that because he sometimes didn't wanna" is just a really bad way to deal with it imo) Second of all, I know it gets brought up a little, and that he does have **some** second thoughts about it, but what I mean is that compared to how huge and life changing this decision is, he basically doesn't think about it at all. I think at least a few chapters and some time for him to process this plan, think it through, and come to terms with it, would give this decision the gravitas it deserves (Not saying a few chapters for only that mind you, just also this, people could argue it could be boring, but I think it's a really interesting decision, and had the potential to be done in an extremely interesting way) > It definetly gets touched, it's brought up many times both from pov of how his life before it made the way he was and how it affected him after. It gets brought up, sure, but we don't get to see any effects of it, trauma or anything like that. He actually seems like it didn't traumatise him whatsoever which is just absolutely insane. Such an experience would make most people go insane as far as I'm concerned. > Except it's litterally not a plot hole like by definition, like at worst you could call it bad writing but that not synonymous with plot hole. You may be right here, I can't really argue against it. I think that a character acting very unlike themselves can be called a plot hole, but in this situation he's not acting unlike himself, that's just how he is. So I see how someone can see this and say "Nobody would ever behave like this, this is a plot hole" but that's just how he is, very consistently, so yeah, I think you're right. I do have to say though, I think this manga has bad character writing. For all the reasons I already mentioned. It's possible that it's on purpose, and in that case hats off to the author because it's very unusual and entertaining to see characters written this way. And that praise also stays true if this is unintentional, I just think it's objectively bad writing that I subjectively enjoy, and many other people also do.

Own-Increase-1651

Mid manhwa with a lot of cliches just dumped together and small arks to reduce fatigue. Good for beginner story readers since they can't catch these points; For medium to high level story readers, its just the same thing as every other system. Same shit different day

For medium to high level story readers - 🤓 Stop being contrarian.

hamburgerhams

I think it wouldn't fit beginner readers, it's more of people who like the psychological genre. I'm a big fan of it aswell

Own-Increase-1651

Psychological cringe ofc

emmanuelotoide3

Bro this comment is kinda dumb you know...most of what they do is focus on development of characters instead of oh look at me I'm the strongest with the biggest balls...if you think it's some psychological thing then you haven't either read it nor have you read actual psychological stuff
