I love the misunderstandings so much, because normally they can be meaningless and annoying to keep the plot strtched out, but here the misunderstandings are born from some actual sense and logic, like how Edna thinks that Baek Yu-Seol is a regressor, and its fair, because who would ever come up with the conclusion that
he transmigrated into a game where she was transmigrated into a novel. Its misunderstandings done well.
If you want a novel of similar to novels extra try authors pov (the first chapters like 100~150 are so-so (it's has like 800) but it's gets REALLY good trust me)

I think there would be an issue with anything on webnovel since Qidian controls all the IPs if you go through the process to make money on there. And while it may seem otherwise within the bubble of online communities, webnovels aren’t popular enough in English speaking countries to make a webcomic worth it generally. The only real exceptions I can think of would be MOL and TPR as you said as well as possibly Beware of Chicken as it still is the most popular series on royalroad, even if it seems to have waned since going to amazon. Amazon is another issue, but they don’t hold IP rights I don’t think when you publish for kindle unlimited or whatever.

I didn't realize until I read the novel, but I don't think that carrot toons( studio that draws the manhwa) was a right pick for the story. Don't get me wrong carrot toons are really talented and make very good manhwas, but I don't think novels extra was one of them. They right novels extra as a more light hearted and comedic story when it's not THAT light hearted. When they try to do dark scenes, I just feel like they don't understand on how to do it and how to make someone have an aura around them, you get what I mean?
That could have been better. It felt more like an epilogue than the actual epilogue. I didn't even try to make it through the side stories yet because of how confused I was.
No one mentioning I killed an academy player when it's the best among manwhas in this genre lol also novel check out authors POV it's better than everything listed here

The MC goes into a fantasy world which he knows is from a game. The game was a novel adaptation so I believe this should fit the criteria you posed.
I didn't expect the 2nd one to be actually good. I literally had no expectation because of the title, but it was very good, esp considering it's only around 30 chapters.
They don't end up going to the academy (yet at least, the plotline is moving that direction it feels), but Ending Maker is when two top players find each other after being partly merged with their main characters in a game series, so as one might expect, they are taking full advantage of it.
If you don't mind OP can you just state all the manhwas you are already caught up with. So that I can see if any ones are missing or maybe I can find a new one to read.

I started reading the novel immediately when it came out (currently at around chapter 50) it's really generic, but I love it tons of misunderstandings
