Omg yes. Their “same day service” is why I called them on a Saturday because our basement was flooding. They didn’t show up until TUESDAY. They ended up charging us an extra $600 to do part of the job again because they claimed my husband told them not to do it the first time, which was nonsense.
When they quoted us for the full job, we decided to call elsewhere, and the second quote we got was thousands of dollars cheaper ($3200 vs $5500).
You only want to hear about small companies based in Maryland? All my gripes are about huge national chains, starting with CVS, which understaffs its pharmacies.
The customer service at CVS is unbelievable. It's so frustrating that the best prices Aetna gives you on drugs are at CVS cause they own it. Now I'm overpaying at Walmart but at least I don't have to physically go there three times to make sure they get each prescription filled.

Thank God my employer's Aetna plan uses Express Scripts for Rx coverage. I get the same prices at Safeway as I did at CVS, and I never want to step foot in the latter again.

CVS has ruined local pharmacies by buying them up and then sucking. They ruined my health insurance by buying Aetna and ruining it. They ruined most pharmacies by having a virtual monopoly on PBMs with Caremark.

The CVS on Chase St Baltimore is a pig stye. The building is owned by the mother company. Its a triangle shaped lot. Much of the pointy end was not developed and is a weed and trash infested mess. The building is too small for adequate storage, so they have a ship container outside. The dumpster is always over flowing, the floors are streaky-dirty, and the workers are harried as there is little support from the home office. Often they do not have change for the customer.
I quit Rite Aid when they gave me SOMEONE ELSE'S RX. Not for anything prescribed for me. But what a HIPA violation for the person who was supposed to get that RX!
Same exact thing happened to me at rite aid. They gave me someone else’s prescription for the same drug but at a different dosage. Every single time my doctor phones in a prescription, it’s not ready when I go to pick it up, even if it’s a day later. They all just seem incredibly incompetent and like they can’t be bothered.
CVS is a shit show. I will never get another prescription there again. I was trying to get something filled there one time and had to talk to them. I called probably 10 times and no one answered. I finally went there in person and while I waited the phone in the pharmacy literally rang nonstop, and they never answered it! The pharmacist was running around like a chicken with its head cut off, but you can't just not answer the phone...

Breezeline is a million times worse. Price gouging and spotty connections all the time. Whenever it is up, it works, but when it's down, it's not coming back up for a while.

Well Shark on the Harbor in OC wouldnt accomodate my handicap mom for happy hour deals. The manager said you "had to" sit at the bar area "on a bar stool" to get the happy hour deals. My mom cant do that because shes handicap and the manager wouldnt make an exception. We went to 45th street tavern instead and they were like of course happy hour can be had at any table. So moral of the story fuck Shark on the Harbor and thank you 45th street Taphouse.

It's been a while since I've had to deal with them (2021 or so) but their customer service was terrible. It took over a month for me to receive my transponder and it was difficult to reach them even for simple things.
As far as using EZ Pass, it works just fine (once you have the transponder) and it's relatively easy to login to your account to replenish funds, lookup toll records, etc. But god help if you have to contact them for something.
My country bumpkin ass doesn't have EZPass, so I get a big bill in the mail whenever I decide to leave the forest. I do realize that's my own dang fault though. 🤣
NTB in germantown tried to rip me off. Charged me double their normal cost to mount and balance 4 tires. When I called up 3 other MD NTB's on speakerphone and asked what the price is and if it's set by corporate, the germantown manager told me the other 3 locations were lying to me???

That specific NTB is awful. I know several people that have had a bad bad experience. For me I had them replace my battery. When the car was ready I got in it and it was left unlocked… and the battery was dead.

I went there a few years ago for a check engine light. They had the car for an hour then gave me a call telling me it was just a dirty sensor triggering the light. They cleaned it off, didn’t charge me a dime, and sent me on my way. That’s my only experience with them but it was refreshing to work with an honest mechanic.

If you don't pay the fee, the city will sell your property to get it. Sounds like extortion to me.
Whether on not you think the services are valuable, the city can't sell your property. Maryland is a tax lien state not a tax deed state. That means the city could put a lien on your property for past unpaid fees that will come due at time of sale. You can't lose the deed to your property for unpaid municipal fees or taxes. If someone told you this, they were probably conflating the laws that exist in other states, such as Deleware and Virginia.

Very annoyed; I was quoted "an hour or so" for some maintenance and had the first appointment of the day at 9am. I finally got out at 12:45; nearly FOUR HOURS LATER. I had asked for a fluid sample and to replace the plug with one I provided and they didn't do either, which was the ENTIRE point of the visit, so now I'm out nearly $250 for NOTHING. The reason I went with them is they were hoarding the materials I needed - my local garage had been trying to buy from them for about two months and kept being told "it's backordered nationally."
When I reported to the service desk that the sample jar and plug were still sitting on my dashboard, all I got was "I didn't check you in, XXX did." So helpful.
They were friendly enough up to that point... but by then I was starving and just had to leave. Only idiots go to the dealer for non-warranty work.
Edit: So the dealer replied here asking how to contact me but there's no reply function in app or on website. Anyway I find it sadly funny that the "customers we pissed off so much in the past few weeks by having them wait around for half a day that they went and wrote a review about it" label is somehow ambiguous. Can I add luminis health in Annapolis? AAMC was so good, but after luminis took over, everything has gone downhill. Rude staff, surprise charges, sending bills to the wrong address, forgetting to bill insurance, sending your account to debt collectors without sending you a bill first, etc. You are better of going to urgent care.
PEPCO. I had to go back and forth with them for several months to get charges for the wrong addresses unlinked and removed from my account. I had to call and file a compliant with the [PSC](https://www.psc.state.md.us/) to intervene on my behalf to get PEPCO to do right by me.
Bray & Scarff (not sure if they're MD or just vaguely regional). Called them for appliance service & paid for a diagnostic visit on one of their appliances. No one ever came, even after calling them and explaining & giving them the confirmation number for the visit. Customer service didn't respond either.

Jones Collision Repair in Bel Air, they had my 2022 Mazda3 (my baby who I loved and took so much care of) in the shop for two months after it was rear ended. When I finally got my car back, it looked like a kid put it back together. Panel gaps galore and no attention to detail whatsoever. They left remnants of plastic wrap from covering the car that melted on the front A pillar from the sun. They left the blade from a box cutter sandwiched between the taillight and the trunk. The blind spot monitor on the passenger side was acting up, the light in the mirror would stay lit when passing trees, trash cans, and mailboxes, but not cars. When I went to put my signal on to make a right turn, the car would beep telling me that someone was in my blind spot even though there wasn’t anyone there. I ended up taking it to Cook Mazda in Aberdeen to find out what the issue was, apparently when Jones replaced my bumper and reinstalled the sensors, they put the passenger side sensor in backwards so the car was picking up on itself while driving. I’d say the only things that Jones did right was getting the paint to match the rest of the car, and putting the bumper back on properly.
TLDR: Jones Collision Repair in Bel Air did a substandard job repairing my car after it was rear ended. The only thing that they did right was getting the paint to match the rest of the car.

Oftentimes it’s just cheaper to pay cash on scripts. Antibiotics on my insurance would be a $20 copay, at Walmart it’s $4 cash.

The CVS on Chase St Baltimore is a pig stye. The building is owned by the mother company. Its a triangle shaped lot. Much of the pointy end was not developed and is a weed and trash infested mess. The building is too small for adequate storage, so they have a ship container outside. The dumpster is always over flowing, the floors are streaky-dirty, and the workers are harried as there is little support from the home office. Often they do not have change for the customer.
Any good pharmacist that works at a CVS is out of there in 3 months, I swear.

I quit Rite Aid when they gave me SOMEONE ELSE'S RX. Not for anything prescribed for me. But what a HIPA violation for the person who was supposed to get that RX!
Same exact thing happened to me at rite aid. They gave me someone else’s prescription for the same drug but at a different dosage. Every single time my doctor phones in a prescription, it’s not ready when I go to pick it up, even if it’s a day later. They all just seem incredibly incompetent and like they can’t be bothered.
CVS is a shit show. I will never get another prescription there again. I was trying to get something filled there one time and had to talk to them. I called probably 10 times and no one answered. I finally went there in person and while I waited the phone in the pharmacy literally rang nonstop, and they never answered it! The pharmacist was running around like a chicken with its head cut off, but you can't just not answer the phone...

Well Shark on the Harbor in OC wouldnt accomodate my handicap mom for happy hour deals. The manager said you "had to" sit at the bar area "on a bar stool" to get the happy hour deals. My mom cant do that because shes handicap and the manager wouldnt make an exception. We went to 45th street tavern instead and they were like of course happy hour can be had at any table. So moral of the story fuck Shark on the Harbor and thank you 45th street Taphouse.

What’s the issue with EZPass? Genuinely curious what problems people have, I’ve had zero issues in seven-ish years of having one.
It's been a while since I've had to deal with them (2021 or so) but their customer service was terrible. It took over a month for me to receive my transponder and it was difficult to reach them even for simple things. As far as using EZ Pass, it works just fine (once you have the transponder) and it's relatively easy to login to your account to replenish funds, lookup toll records, etc. But god help if you have to contact them for something.

Security Guard approached me and starting grilling me like I'd just robbed the store. I went there a few years ago for a check engine light. They had the car for an hour then gave me a call telling me it was just a dirty sensor triggering the light. They cleaned it off, didn’t charge me a dime, and sent me on my way. That’s my only experience with them but it was refreshing to work with an honest mechanic.

I go in looking for yarn and am always asked what my wife is looking for or what project is she doing so that they can help... one place jist told me that the tool repair shop was next door as I clearly walked into the wrong place. I told the sales rep that I did indeed walk into the wrong store. there was this one small store like a little cottage on Falls Rd. near Lake roland that was awesomw though. The Aberdeen Greene Turtle, it’s like they went to the Popeyes School of customer service. I was used to the Fed Hill one (before it became a goddamn Iron Rooster), which had great service.
All Greene Turtles suck. Never had good service at any of them and the food has always been average at best. Just like Ledo Pizza, the original was great, but the franchise is trash.

They made the 20 or so people in the bar with Orioles gear on watch the game on silent on a small ass TV. I get that people are there to bet on the NFL sometimes, but the game hadn't started yet, nor was it going to start anytime soon.Also, their food options/quality nosedived.

For more than a decade **Downtown Partnership** has done less and less. Many areas in the zone have received nothing for decades, others get a street vacuum every month or two. A look at their web site shows 40+ office workers who's main job is to put on parties for businesses they are trying to get to set up shop in center city. If you don't pay the fee, the city will sell your property to get it. Sounds like extortion to me.
Whether on not you think the services are valuable, the city can't sell your property. Maryland is a tax lien state not a tax deed state. That means the city could put a lien on your property for past unpaid fees that will come due at time of sale. You can't lose the deed to your property for unpaid municipal fees or taxes. If someone told you this, they were probably conflating the laws that exist in other states, such as Deleware and Virginia.

When I reported to the service desk that the sample jar and plug were still sitting on my dashboard, all I got was "I didn't check you in, XXX did." So helpful. They were friendly enough up to that point... but by then I was starving and just had to leave. Only idiots go to the dealer for non-warranty work. Edit: So the dealer replied here asking how to contact me but there's no reply function in app or on website. Anyway I find it sadly funny that the "customers we pissed off so much in the past few weeks by having them wait around for half a day that they went and wrote a review about it" label is somehow ambiguous. PEPCO. I had to go back and forth with them for several months to get charges for the wrong addresses unlinked and removed from my account. I had to call and file a compliant with the [PSC](https://www.psc.state.md.us/) to intervene on my behalf to get PEPCO to do right by me.
Bray & Scarff (not sure if they're MD or just vaguely regional). Called them for appliance service & paid for a diagnostic visit on one of their appliances. No one ever came, even after calling them and explaining & giving them the confirmation number for the visit. Customer service didn't respond either. Just a garbage company

Jones Collision Repair in Bel Air, they had my 2022 Mazda3 (my baby who I loved and took so much care of) in the shop for two months after it was rear ended. When I finally got my car back, it looked like a kid put it back together. Panel gaps galore and no attention to detail whatsoever. They left remnants of plastic wrap from covering the car that melted on the front A pillar from the sun. They left the blade from a box cutter sandwiched between the taillight and the trunk. The blind spot monitor on the passenger side was acting up, the light in the mirror would stay lit when passing trees, trash cans, and mailboxes, but not cars. When I went to put my signal on to make a right turn, the car would beep telling me that someone was in my blind spot even though there wasn’t anyone there. I ended up taking it to Cook Mazda in Aberdeen to find out what the issue was, apparently when Jones replaced my bumper and reinstalled the sensors, they put the passenger side sensor in backwards so the car was picking up on itself while driving. I’d say the only things that Jones did right was getting the paint to match the rest of the car, and putting the bumper back on properly. TLDR: Jones Collision Repair in Bel Air did a substandard job repairing my car after it was rear ended. The only thing that they did right was getting the paint to match the rest of the car.
I’ve heard bad things about Route One Apparel but I’ve never bought anything from them. Don’t really plan on it either

Anne Arundel County Permit office might be the worst in the entire east coast. Every time I’ve ever had interacted with them it’s been nothing but trouble. Think DMV but for your house. They pull laws and policies out of their ass, whether it makes sense for your situation or not. They drag their feet and in general are just very unreasonable I feel like their default response is always no. If you are looking to do an additions to your home in AAC and you aren’t on a main road… I’m not saying you shouldn’t do the “right” thing but you would think long and hard about it. They have a 1.8 rating on Google for a reason.
