wut... I am going to answer this seriously even though I realise it's likely a joke... Kali is an operating system, much like the likes of Debian/Ubuntu but with loads of hacking tools bundled in., metasploit is an application of sorts that is bundled into kali last time i checked.
There's also something called metasploitable which is a distribution you can download which has a ton of vulnerabilities on it and can be used to aid in learning.
If you generally want to learn hacking then please don't become another "I'm gonna hack instagram" plebs and instead do a lot of reading, learn the fundamentals of networking, maybe learn how different protocols function, different layers of the OSI model or TCP/IP model, then just lots more research, it's not all about just firing up metasploit, generating a payload and sending it to someone.
Maybe register to one of many hacking lab sites where you can learn by playing around on virtualised enviroments.

Very simple just quit terminal window upper right corner, using the X in top right or killall terminal command.
Vim is good for coding, but for hacking nano is way better due to its speed and it having more possible things to do.
