The content posted must be at least partially related to mead or meadmaking. Honey harvesting and bee collecting are not mead related.

If it dosent have honey. They you aren’t making mead. If it does have honey then yes, you can make mead with apple juice honey and maple syrup. Watch out for preservatives.

Mead with apple juice is called a Cyser. Mead with maple syrup is called Acerglyn. There's no reason why you can't make a combination of the two. A cyserglyn. You could probably substitute the water with apple juice and a portion of the honey for maple syrup. Just keep in mind that it's only mead if more than half of the fermentable sugar comes from honey. If you use too much maple syrup, the mead police will come to your house and force you to move to Canada for making maple wine and calling it mead.

Unlucky-but-lit

Maple syrup leaves a ton of flavor if it’s your primary sugar source. I’ve made several maple syrup fruit wines and they’re all good. Made a strawberry Acerglyn that’s still aging

Unlucky-but-lit

A gallon of syrup will give you around 13% abv for 5 gallons

Sbeast86

can confirm. i've made several batches with maple syrup, and every time i've cut the amount in half, and it STILL comes out with a strong af maple flavor

Select_Low_6382

Sbeast86

My last batch was a 3:1 ratio of honey to maple syrup.

Would love to hear about how it turns out over at /r/MapleWine 🍁

madcow716

It would be maple cider. You don't get very much maple flavor after the syrup has been fermented. You can stabilize and back sweeten with it if that's your goal.

Alternative-Waltz916

A fermented intoxicant, yes. Mead though, it won’t be.
