I have this exact same issue too! Wonder if anyone can find out a fix...

MrBJEngel

You could polish it.

I suggest you to use different lead. Neox Graphite has made this way more smooth for me

randomreuben

I switched to Pentel Ain 4B lead in my Orenz Nero. Smooth like butter!

This is in some sense inevitable, but holding the pencil more vertically to the paper might help a bit.

If it helps, I hold my pencil [almost entirely perpendicular to my paper](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/761306720554582066/1223462333335080962/image.png?ex=6619f117&is=66077c17&hm=fbc2a4d9bc9f31b962c229ee4bcfd718f676c84abf57b2e731dc290c44a8c337&).

If that’s the case, maybe try pushing a little less into the paper. I use 2B grade lead with Orenz Nero, and it actually requires almost no force to leave a dark mark. Just sort of gliding over the paper.

LightBlade12

I use 0.3 Orenz Nero with 2B lead as well and just recently bought it. I find it to be VERY scratchy to the point where it is making holes in my thin paper sometimes. Have you found a fix to this that doesn't just include manually clicking for a bit of lead?

EllipticEquations

My seems to work fine. I have to intentionally write with a light hand though.
