That '5' emblem makes this a pretty old version... How long have you had it? :-)

I Don't know, but I randomly found my old kerry on home. Wait, it is old version? Hmm... collectable maybe. Also, eraser is yellowish orange if you want to know. Also I have another Kerry that is blue and have "Kerry since 1971"

Also check the mechanism for the ring above the spring if it is plastic, in older mechanisms it's metal (as in yours). https://preview.redd.it/qucyzwo9xz1d1.jpeg?width=1036&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bac555bc4b42bb976b9b6b7ed6e4625c84d5a891 P1035-BZNA Tokai Limited color from 2023 pictured here with white plastic ring for reference. In this case the '5' emblem is used for nostalgia, it's not the real thing.

Exactly, I had that image somewhere but wasn't able to locate it, thanks!

I posted this about 2 years ago as Kerry Plastic vs Metal. I think it was prompted by a discussion I was having elsewhere and I was convinced this was the reason many people post about there being a metal bodied Kerry and the newer Kerry were cheaper because they are plastic.

Yep, mine has the metal one

Newer versions, just have the "KERRY with the since 1971 underneath". I own 2 like that, however, one is in Gold letters and also says the thickness of the lead "0.7" under the "Since 1971", while the other, has the thickness "0.5" on the other side of the cup, under the Pentel and all the lettering is Silver instead of Gold.

The original was just called a "5" but then "Kerry" came later. Still, there are limited edition releases often coming out and they'll have just "5" on them as an homage to the original. So, it's uncommon but not really rare.
