It’s normal. Significant tectonic movement will cause a chain of reactions. It may fade out or a fault zone may have become more active due to movement which means we might get them more frequently for the foreseeable future. Earths crust is VERY dynamic, it’s nothing to worry about

No shaking physically felt here in Thornbury but my bedroom windows have a special rattle I have discovered they reserve specifically for earthquakes. I'd rather not have discovered this.

I libe in the Otways and I've not experienced anyrhing like it in my life, felt myself moving and the whole house was kinda like swaying foe around 10secs. I seriously thought a meteorite had hit or there was an alien invasion lol and my fight/flight responses kicked in and I jumped up, got dressed and was looking out and the sky waiting for flashes or something lol.... over active imagination haha

Yeah it's cooked. This is my first time living in a highrise apartment building and the first time I felt a quake here I grabbed my cat and evacuated lol.

I grabbed my cup of tea and stood in the doorway to the balcony. My husband was down in the garage and I thought there’s no way I’m going down to rescue him if the place collapses. I’ve seen enough disaster movie to know doing that never ends well.

I didn't feel it this time. Probably too far from me. But the first time I felt the one that happened during covid times... My whole apartment building swayed while I was playing a game of Val, my lights flickered a couple of times, and I was so confused. Like wtf just happened? Am I dreaming? Why did my apartment fucking sway?! I immediately asked if anyone was in Melb and if they felt it too and they said yes. So I then googled it... It's silly but I did not know Australia could have Earthquakes. I was mind blown. I never felt an Earthquake before and that was my first one lmao

Definitely agree with that. The noise / initial motion was < 5 seconds, but the feeling of being in a boat on choppy seas lasted a good 30 seconds for me up near Melbourne Airport.
