Incredible,  Google has betrayed me with its "walking 13 min". I wonder how many have drowned instead of waiting for the punt..

You're in public transport mode there, not walking mode. So it wants you to walk to the transit and catch it.

Google literally says "walk 13 min (1km), you can check if you'd like. I learned about the ferry in posting this, and I'll use it, thanks again.

For anyone who's never heard of the Westgate punt: [https://www.onlymelbourne.com.au/west-gate-punt](https://www.onlymelbourne.com.au/west-gate-punt) Runs between Port Melbourne and Scienceworks. Cheap, and takes just over 5 mins to get across. A lot of people use it for cycling, pretty handy if you want to ride from the trail around Altona and Williamstown either to the city or along beach road! (Also good for visiting Scienceworks and Grazeland of course!)

It's a ferry. Thanks if and when I take my kids there I'll probably do this. Seems like fun.
