Objectifying is to degrade someone by treating them like an object. Showing skin is not objectifying if the character is fleshed out and not based on how much sex they have or how sexy they are or how much they one to please another character. . . Its easy to create characters that are sexual as long as there's WAY MORE to their character.
(btw some characters are supposed to objectified as that is their role in the story and thats fine.)
showing a lot of skin isnt inherently sexual and its easy to not objectify characters when you just treat them like a character instead of, well, an object. just give them literally any personality outside of sexual stuff at all and boom youve done it congrats. lots of artists and writers just fail cause theyre too stupid and horny.
