Pro tip: take it to Benz on the next oil Change, let them know you want it fixed and to provide any estimates for repairs. Review repairs, purchase those parts online and get it done at an independent mechanic

I'm actually a mechanic, I just did the oil change myself a few days ago. The only repairs I wouldn't be able to do myself are the kinds of things that require special scan tools for certain procedures and whatnot, hopefully that will never be needed. Your advice is spot on though.

I dont think they charge a different price from what they charge for new ones. My local dealer, last time I checked, charged $300 USD for an A service (basically just an oil and filter change) and somewhere in the $600 range for the B service. But I havent checked in the last 5 or 6 years because I buy the OEM filters and Mobile 1 and do them myself for less than $75 out the door.

congrats !! this gen Eclass looks wayy better in the silver sport wheels in my opinion. if you can get hold of’em it would really modernize it .

I have those on my car. The OP looks like they have either 17 or 16 inch rims which are way better than the 18 inch rims, had a bunch of cracked and bent rims with the 18 which you won't get with the 16/17 inch rims. And not to much a bunch of flat tires too. Bigger rims are basically over-rated, it's just for looks, everything else is worse from flat tires to bent/cracked rims.

The W211’s are honestly my favorite body style of the E class 😶 I love the dark blue but yea see if they may have the sports wheels for sale. Mine had amg ones and that would look 🔥🔥🔥 on yours

These were the E55 AMG wheels and would look great. The below 5 spoke ones are great also. I’d personally go with the 2006 OEM CLS AMG wheels, they’re 19’s and offset wise would sit flush with the wheel well. 18" wheels on 211 are heavy. Cast aluminum and ruin the ride quality especially if you have coil springs. Nevermind the FE hit.

Hey thanks! For now I might just get a good working used original unit, I'm not a big music or infotainment kinda guy. I had no idea what it originally came with, on the build sheet it states it was equipped with "COMAND DVD PLUS (WITHOUT NAVIGATION)"

That might be a good move tbh,my dad had this car before me and the original radio broke so he put in an older version like a 2002-3 one i think and this one didn’t come with the aux option,im thinking of getting another original one just like it used to have it so i can play music through aux and imo these android radios don’t fit good with the look of the interior.

Hey thanks! The color is one of the reasons I bought it, to me it's unique. Many Mercedes of that era were silver or black. It was called Midnight Blue in the US and Dunkelblau in Germany, the color code is 904.

W210s are also great cars.

They are great cars, very nice engine in the E500. Mine doesn't have the car phone.

Great choice, I also have a W211 2009 E350 with the amg package. So soft and pulls like a train. Makes me feel like a king when I drive it. Totally ensconced in it. These cars look light years better than the newest versions

That’s true, the E350 has a more powerful engine. I bought it from an auction in 2020 for $2,200 with 174,000 miles. It feels like a dream every time I drive it. I was missing out all those years pre-2020. Driving it can be equated as dating a supermodel. I’ve also driven the w220 2001 S 500 and that really stole my heart. What a marvel of engineering
