If they were smart itd be next year, with the reveal just before MGS 3 remake launches, then when they show more details on Vol 2 announce the next remake, then do a Vol 3 that has all the spinoff games, and then another remake after that.
Yes...but are they smart?
Vol.2 can ride on the hype around Delta and could also be filling the time inbetween Delta and the next game (if there's any) to keep the hype alive.
They put MGS3 onto pachinkos, with better graphics than the original game.
They once focused on mobile games because it’s more profitable.
You may argue they’re not stupid, but profit is their no.1 priority. Nothing else.
Probably next year.
I don't see them pushing out Vol. 2 this year when Vol. 2 supposedly has MGS4 and V, which require more work than Vol. 1's PS1 and PS2 games.
Not to mention that next year is the ten year anniversary of MGSV and presumably the launch year of the Switch 2, so they'd be able to get away with doing native ports of MGSV on the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S as well as port it to more powerful Nintendo hardware.
Wouldn't it be a better move for them to just port Peace Walker for volume 2 instead? As someone who has already bought mgsv I'm not a big fan of rebuying the game just for mgs4, I'd much rather get some of the other entries that I haven't been able to get my hands on.
PW will be there! It's pretty much 99% confirmed, and it's one of the reasons I'm super excited about it. I haven't played MGS4 or PW, so Vol. 2 will be a dream come true for me.
Can’t wait to see how chopped to shit it is, between all the brand deals, b&b corps being real people, people who did vol 1 cant even get ps2 games to run at 60 on switch ect. Its going to be a shit show.
They playing everybody like fools. They told us emulating mgs4 was too hard years ago. They hoping everyone buys the 1st one, then no matter how well it does They can say it didn't do well, sorry boys.
I also recently got through the whole thing with beautiful graphics and frame rate on my pc. I have a 5600x and a 3070ti so good hardware but not top of the line. Had only a single crash and it was sort of a comedy of errors that caused it anyway. A few other minor visual glitches but some of them were pretty entertaining (like the entire rat patrol models becoming invisible during the first encounter with them, so there were just a bunch of floating guns mowing down enemies for a scene)
How? I have a ryzen 5600 cpu with a rtx 3070 and I had consistent frame drops from 30-60 over and over. I messed with all the setting and still found it to be really unstable.
Avx 512 on the Intel CPU helped close the gap probably. It was an Intel 1165g7 which was actually pretty good.
But I was only playing at 900p 20-30 fps. It was impressive for what it was but if you want consistent 60 you're gonna want one of the latestw amd cpu's with avx 512.
The emulator runs great, finished mgs 4 on a 10400f and it runs just fine. All you need to do is follow the wiki instructions. But people can't fucking read.
Hey SonicTurtles, would you mind detailing your emulator setup for MGS4? I've been thinking about it because I miss MGS4 and my ORIGINAL OG fatty PS3 finally bit the dust last year. I have a pretty new and beefy PC, just not sure what software to use, and what kinda tweaking the emulation might involve.
I used a walk-through similar to [this one](https://youtu.be/JAxS5l_75h0) and was able to get pretty good results! The only hold up is that the team that makes the emulator just released an update that apparently makes MGS4 run way better than it did previously, and I don't know if this video is from before or after that. I'm not sure if any other changes from this video are required, but I just wanted to give you a heads up that some things may have changed (WAR HAS CHANGED).
RPCS3 is super good for the games but it's optimized for, but just as a heads up, it's very reliant on your CPU. If you go on the rpcs3 website they have a breakdown of which CPUs do best for their program and what they recommend, but for the most part lower end CPUs may result in smaller things like audio crackling and stuff like that.
Also, I won't share how to get the specific files, (I made my own rip of the disc with my modded PS3) but if You've dabbled in an emulation before or online games in general, you can probably find it in the usual places by searching online for it
What are you seeing because I have a 20gb Launch PS3 that's backwards compatible that still works and is my baby, but I will sell that bitch if the money's right.
are you sure about that? I see consoles going for 150 on amazon and even cheaper on ebay.
For reference, I sold my PS3 \~10 years ago for like 250€ and if you consider that they were like 500€ at release that's a steal imo.
It could be regional/currency differences, but I see them for around $160-$280 on Amazon. I think that's more than I'd be willing to spend to play a game that will most likely get ported within the next few years.
It depends on where you live and what model you want to pick up. I got my Slim for about 140$ last year with 2 Dualshocks and all the wires needed. I think this price is definitely worth it, considering that you can play all mainline MGS games on this system
>I was going to recommend you buy a PS3 online, but they are shockingly expensive.
That's apparently very region dependant, so OP definitely should check the prices in his region. I can find plenty in the € 45 to € 70 range here. Only ones that are really expensive are the early ones that could play ps2 games.
The emulator doesn’t suck, you just need a really good CPU. The only reason I wasn’t able to play it was due to audio issues but everything else worked flawlessly
Averaged 45 fps throughout the game. Cut scenes at 60. Throughout the entire game, had like 2 crashes which were during the cut scenes. But as you know, MGS4 cut scenes are movie length lol.
It's really not that difficult:
* If you have patience, wait for Master Collection Vol.2
* If you don't have patience, buy a used PlayStation 3 & copy of Metal Gear Solid 4
it's definitely not as intuitive as playing it on ps3 but RPCS3 has no problems. patches are enough to install in 5 minutes. everything else is already ready for you. I played it on a mini PC with integrated graphics at a locked 30fps so better than on PS3.
The main build of RPCS3 is actually pretty amazing for MGS4 now, especially with some of the canary patches. I recently did a full playthrough at 4K/60FPS and it felt so good.
Can’t wait for Vol 2 of the Master Collection though and the native PC version.
Just whatever it says on the RPCS3 page for MGS4 as well as the canary patches that include the Crash Fix, Flickering Textures Fix and Unlock FPS.
I've had basically no issues with the game, especially once shader compilation is done completely, and it's certainly A LOT better than playing it on a PS3 at this point (60 FPS is game changing).
This resolution discrepency is how I learned that the 'Guns of the Patriots' scene was pre-rendered during my RPCS3 playthrough, was quite a shock.
I hope the ports of MGS4 re-render those scenes or just make them fully real-time similar to what Ghost of Tsushima did with its PS5 release.
Literally playable at 4k 60 if you have a decent PC. But sure, 'emulation sucks.'
You might be waiting forever. How important is it to you to play this? Everyone who already has will tell you it’s worth the price of entry. Then and now.
I doubt them having to wait forever as Konami already called the first remaster collection a “Vol. 1”, so the likelihood of a Vol. 2 which would contain MGS4 seems high to me. Maybe that’s just me huffing copium, but I’ll be really surprised if that’s not the case in a year or two.
All that is true however, this game has been in high demand since it’s release and never been ported to any other platform. Whether it’s licensing issues with it’s product placement or the complexities of the PS3 with this game in particular, Konami has opted to leave that money on the table. The fact that nearly every ps3 game can be perfectly emulated at this point and this can’t is telling. I myself hope it’s included in vol 2. I realistically don’t expect it though.
MGS4 never got ported because when it came out on the PS3, it took up as much space as it could on the Blu-ray disc it came on, which was around 50GB - porting it onto the Xbox 360 means that they'd need at least five HD-DVD discs for the whole game, if not more.
There's also the fact that games built specifically for the PS3's hardware are just difficult to port in general - unless if you're first-party Sony studio like Santa Monica or (especially) Bluepoint, then it's a pretty tall order to port a PS3 game onto another platform. My guess is that if Kojima wasn't kicked out of Konami, then they would've likely done a port of MGS4 for PS4 and Xbox One, since both of them used Blu-ray discs.
Either way, datamining from Vol. 1 shows that MGS4 has a strong chance of showing up in Vol. 2 - though if I had to guess, I'd assume Vol. 2 will likely be on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Switch 2 rather than on PS4, Xbox One, and Switch because then Konami would able to get away with doing native ports of MGSV on the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
RPCS3 doesn’t suck at all. They’ve poured their blood sweat and tears into getting MGS4 to run properly. Saying the emulator sucks just because your PC wasn’t good enough for it is kinda dumb
I'll say it again, Konami is filled with fuckin fools. If they just remade each one of those games from the ground up to run on new consoles they would have no problem selling them. Better yet redo all of em and sell em as a collectors set and bump the price up, I'm sure some people would even buy two... Shit I know I would lol
If you have a powerful PC and find some custom script that can be added to the emulator, along with some tinkering, you can totally play mgs4 nearly flawlessly on rpcs3
I played it on PC a month ago. It's totally playable depending on your computer's capacity. The reported issue of having no audio also doesn't need to be fixed anymore
Yeah like many have stated RPCS3 runs MGS4 like a dream nowadays if you have the time to configure it correctly and have a capable system. I use it almost daily to play MGO2 that came packaged with MGS4.
Perhaps you could download the preconfigured version used for MGO2 on savemgo.com and use that for when you play MGS4.
The emulator needs a decent PC, but it doesn't suck ass by any means. It's my preferred way to play, the game looks really good when you upscale it to 1080p/60fps
I feel that bro. But I do have a ps3 I just need to dust it off and buy a copy. Really hoping for master collection, two to include four. Love to play that handheld on my switch or steam deck.
My 10700k plays it fine. 4 generations old.
Any YouTube tutorials like 'ocelot' show you the settings to use. Yes the initial shader comp takes foreverrrrrr, but that's the worst.
Rpcs3 is more CPU heavy. Anything like a 2060 and up will likely get you there GPU wise.
And yes. On PS3 it can go from 60fps with thermal vision, to less than 20fps often. If you don't think it drops, you don't notice or get affected by framerate.
We are ALL waiting for this.
Unfortunately due to the state of the vol.1 release, i keep my expectations very low for this upcoming remaster, especially with all the issues regarding copyright licences and cut content.
I'm afraid that the PS3 version might be the best experience we'll ever have of MGS4. Too bad!
I would wait. I played MGS4 last year and it was ROUGH. 30 fps with a lot of stutters and drops. I'm sure the emulator might be better but it is always iffy.
I just went out and bought a PS3 and bought a box set that includes all of the MGS games from Peacewalker to the originals. Except for the Gameboy and PSP games.
Rpcs3 works pretty well relatively new machines. Pre 40 series, and 13th gen intel, I had a gtx 1080 and i7 7th gen, and it did manage to run to what I would consider playable. There are frame drops, but there were frame drops in the original.
The emulator doesn't suck ass, your PC does.
PS3 emulation is tricky af because the PS3 was made so differently from other consoles but the emulator community has put in tons of hard work over the years to get it working good.
I recently play through MGS4 again on RPCS3 emulator at 4K, 60fps. No issues.
I'd just buy a PS3. I mean I actually bought my 3rd PS3 a year ago. It costed $80, less than a new game. Got the legacy collection too. Just make sure it comes with an official Sony controller.
RPCS3 doesn't suck ass, it just needs a semi-decent PC at the minimum (MGS4 will need more than semi-decent). CELL architecture is an absolute clusterfuck and it's amazing there's a PS3 emulator at all
I have a suspicion that they haven't rereleased MGS4 yet because there is a PS3 controller literally in the game, which Snake uses to pilot the MG MkII. That would have to be revised on non-Sony platforms, and it's controlled by motion sensing which not all platforms have so they will have to change that too. Given the potential licensing complications of that + Konami's aversion to expending absolutely any money or effort at all on these rereleases, I would not be shocked at all if that was the reason.
You can find some pretty good deals for PS3s on Mercari, my brother got one for about $150 and the games come pretty cheap there too. But if you want a more modern experience then you're gonna have to wait a WHILE.
I played act 1 and part of act 2 with the emulator RPCS3 and it ran and looked great on my PC, I don't remember encountering any issues other than a couple of crashes.
I'd recommend just buying a used PS3 on eBay or checking Facebook Marketplace for one. Emulators may or may not "suck" depending on your PC and what you're willing to settle on. A lot of people, I think, overestimate how good of a PC you need to run it well. But if you're willing to make some compromises and keep your expectations in check you may be able to run it "well enough" on a PC.
I also say to just buy a PS3 because I wouldn't be surprised if MGS4 doesn't make it to the Master Collection Vol. 2. I hope it does though and there's still a good chance. But you never know sometimes. In addition to the PS3 just being a very complex piece of hardware there's also a lot of Apple and music licensing that needs to be either re-licensed or swapped out completely. The music tracks may be moot since a lot of them appear to be owned by Konami.
You can get a used PS3 for around $80, they're not ridiculously expensive. A copy of MGS4 should also be a pretty easy find, since it sold over 7 million units IIRC. You'd also be able to play Peace Walker on the PS3 because of the HD Collection being on PS3.
If you are able to set it up right, the emulator is a pretty damn good way to play the game. Once I got all the patches right I experienced only like 1 glitch in my entire playthrough, and considering I was playing at 4k 60fps I'd consider that a win. Who knows how a master collection port would even turn out, but from what we saw with part 1 they aren't going to boost fps or resolution if it does happen.
PS3’s are surprisingly affordable actually. I have a copy of MGS4 and as soon as I’m back to work for the season I’m getting one (mind you I also have the motivation that it’s the only generation of PlayStation I don’t own lmao)
Emulator is much better than PS3. I have a decent PC and was able to run at 4k60 (most of the time) I used the special RPCS3 build but I’m pretty sure the current main build is even better now.
I got to experience mgs4 on the ps3 I bought at a local game store I had decided to play god of war 3 first because that was on my list and after I finished god of war 3 I played mgs4 and then that ps3s motherboard fried so I blame the patriots for not being able to play it again
do you really expect them too port a ps3 game properly? at this point dont even wait on it and just get a ps3😭i cant imagine they will do anything more then remove kojimas name unfortunately
I was fortunate to get ps3 for Christmas in like 2021, and mgs4 was in it along with other games that my friend did not play since he played mostly gta5 & fifa
I don't actually have confidence that konami can release a good port of MGS4 to be honest. It's going to take actual programming effort. Not just tinkerering with an emulator. All those programmers are for sure working on delta.
Also vol 2 makes more sense to have portable ops. Peacewalker and phantom pain. Considering psp ports are easy enough. They can port the 360 versions of peacewalker and phantom pain and they would run on switch just fine. Acid will be the bonus extra games a la mg1 and mg2 is for vol 1 this logically is konamis next step just due to how easy the porting process is for 360 and how familiar with psp and 360 they are.
I think vol 3 will have mgs 4, survive and revengeance. I dont know what else they will use for filler. Maybe babel, the lore book and the behind the scenes documentaries. Hopefully a remaster of mgo?
people in the comments saying they played it i call bullshit drop the link for the ROM you used in the comments not a you tube video of it being done not a video of what emulator to use the actual website the ROM was downloaded until then you talking cap
I'm into retro game collecting and I find that PS3's on things like Facebook marketplace are usually pretty cheap. I regularly see gets 1-3 going for $50-80 and mgs4 is an easy $10-$20 find.
Now maybe it has something to do with being in maritime Canada, but that's my experience.
I actually finished it on my laptop 👀
So i wouldn't say that the emulator sucks but it's definitely not great either
But if you adjust the right settings it might work for you
The emulator is phenomenal now, it has come a longggg way from even a year ago. It’s possible to play the game 60fps 4k very stable on rpcs3, all you need is a solid cpu.
Whenever vol.2 drops...maybe next year? The year after? In 3 years?
If they were smart itd be next year, with the reveal just before MGS 3 remake launches, then when they show more details on Vol 2 announce the next remake, then do a Vol 3 that has all the spinoff games, and then another remake after that.
Yes...but are they smart? Vol.2 can ride on the hype around Delta and could also be filling the time inbetween Delta and the next game (if there's any) to keep the hype alive.
Exactly. And yeah, that is definitely the question of the day 😅
And I'm questioning if Delta drops this year at all...

You can't call it 'Master Collection' if you're missing a numbered entry, I guess it's as simple as that.
It's not on switch yet, getting it for a handheld would be cool as shit.
Next century?
Maybe even, perchance, 4 years
There's also the likelihood of...5 years.
My god.
Can’t wait to see how chopped to shit it is, between all the brand deals, b&b corps being real people, people who did vol 1 cant even get ps2 games to run at 60 on switch ect. Its going to be a shit show.
Maybe it's getting so long for a reason?
They playing everybody like fools. They told us emulating mgs4 was too hard years ago. They hoping everyone buys the 1st one, then no matter how well it does They can say it didn't do well, sorry boys.
They outright acknowledged vol.2 recently. And vol.1 sold a bunch so they will put out vol.2, for money if for nothing else.
Time will tell.
I played it on pc and I absolutely loved it. Of course the game doesn't run perfectly but if you have a good pc it's completely playable
To be fair, it doesn't run perfectly on PS3 either lmao
It doesn't run perfectly but I never set my standards too high so the gameplay on my ps3 was enjoyable nonetheless
Yeah the port became playable a couple of years ago Edit: sorry reddit, I meaned the emulator
Not a port. I think you're talking about running a rom on an emulator. Very different
This exactly. A couple of years ago, after a lot of work, they managed to make it work and I could finally played it
What sucks about the emulator? I was able to play through the whole game on it with a higher resolution and way more stable frame rate than on console
I also recently got through the whole thing with beautiful graphics and frame rate on my pc. I have a 5600x and a 3070ti so good hardware but not top of the line. >I have a 5600x and a 3070ti Those are above average specs.
Nowhere did I say it wasn’t. I said good hardware but not top of the line
Make sure to follow the settings recommended on the RPCS3 wiki you shouldn’t encounter these errors.
I did. The comedy of errors was on my end and it only happened once
This is an ancient meme. It's completely inaccurate. I beat the game on Intel integrated graphics on emulator
The emulator is mostly CPU dependent, so It doesn't rly matter what GPU you have
How? I have a ryzen 5600 cpu with a rtx 3070 and I had consistent frame drops from 30-60 over and over. I messed with all the setting and still found it to be really unstable.

I was going to recommend you buy a PS3 online, but they are shockingly expensive. Yeah I would wait for the port then.
What are you talking about the slim ones should be quite ch OH MY GOD
I found one for $60+13 shipping and the game for $11 on eBay in seconds. What's the problem?
What are you seeing because I have a 20gb Launch PS3 that's backwards compatible that still works and is my baby, but I will sell that bitch if the money's right.
Import ps3 slim from Poland. They are less than 100$
are you sure about that? I see consoles going for 150 on amazon and even cheaper on ebay. For reference, I sold my PS3 \~10 years ago for like 250€ and if you consider that they were like 500€ at release that's a steal imo.

Why are you looking on amazon? Ebay, facebook marketplace etc should have better prices
Ye, for just one game that's def. too much.
If you can find a local game store, you should be able to find them for cheaper. My wife and I got ours for $80.
It depends on where you live and what model you want to pick up. I got my Slim for about 140$ last year with 2 Dualshocks and all the wires needed. I think this price is definitely worth it, considering that you can play all mainline MGS games on this system

Shockingly expensive? How strange - £50 in the UK.
Blame the gaming collectors.
I got a ps3 with all cables for $80 included two controllers, MGS4 and MGRR. Not "expensive" in the slightest.
The emulator doesn’t suck, you just need a really good CPU. The only reason I wasn’t able to play it was due to audio issues but everything else worked flawlessly
a cpu with avx512 support, not a "really good" cpu
True
Nah. You’ll never know how long that’ll take. Buy a PS3.
Yeah, those are like 70€. They’re pretty cheap. Like the price of a single AAA game
>70€ Around 50€ more precisely, therefore even cheaper xD
The PC port is probably going to be worse than the emulator
no don't say that :(
Historically speaking, he's right
You're so sure that's even on the table.
The emulator is brilliant, I completed the game twice with no issues, once on my Rog Ally, and next when I got my legion go.
RPCS3 on a portable sounds crazy. That's super cool. *What a age we live in, huh, snake? Wonder what they'll think of next!*
How was the performance? The ROG Ally's 7800U should be able to handle the emulation without too many problems, I think
Averaged 45 fps throughout the game. Cut scenes at 60. Throughout the entire game, had like 2 crashes which were during the cut scenes. But as you know, MGS4 cut scenes are movie length lol.

I just bit the bullet and bought a PS3
only part that sucks about the emulator is compiling that massive ppu and spu.
Actually playing it on my PS3 right now😭 The patriots are tracking my movements
RPCS3 doesn’t suck at all. They’ve poured their blood sweat and tears into getting MGS4 to run properly. Saying the emulator sucks just because your PC wasn’t good enough for it is kinda dumb
The emulator is just fine as long as you run the correct patch files and have a decent PC.
Master Collection 2 maybe...
Hopefully it gets included on Master Collection Vol. 2
Buy the ps3 while it’s still cheap and games are easily obtained. I couldnt velieve my eyes when the Vita market suddenly got more expensive
The emulator is good, it's just heavy to emulate a ps3 game as demanding as MGS4. Don't blame the emulator for the failings of your computer
I finished on an RPCS3, I loved it so much that I bought a PS3 to just to finish it better.
The emulator is fine btw
rpcs3 is so broken sometimes. you need both powerful pc and crazy luck
They are not going to create a port on PC lol, sorry
Check Facebook market place for a ps3, I got one for 80 bucks
I got a ps3 slim for like 70$ the controllers were busted but aftermarket controller are cheap and work well enough
Me when I can't play helldivers 2 because I don't have a ps5 or pc
I replayed it about a year ago on PS3. First time since 2014. Man, PC has spoiled me cause I found the frame rate abysmal
~~Can’t you play it on the PS5 through the PSPLUS catalog?~~ Nvm - just checked and that was apparently a fever dream.
I played it on PC a month ago. It's totally playable depending on your computer's capacity. The reported issue of having no audio also doesn't need to be fixed anymore
Lmao build a better PC bro
Yeah like many have stated RPCS3 runs MGS4 like a dream nowadays if you have the time to configure it correctly and have a capable system. I use it almost daily to play MGO2 that came packaged with MGS4. Perhaps you could download the preconfigured version used for MGO2 on savemgo.com and use that for when you play MGS4.
I bought a used ps3 2 months ago just to play MGS4 tbh lol
The emulator needs a decent PC, but it doesn't suck ass by any means. It's my preferred way to play, the game looks really good when you upscale it to 1080p/60fps
Wouldn't a ps3 and the game be like 20 bucks at this point?
The emulator is fucking amazing. It shouldn't even be possible. And it keeps getting better Also ps3 slims are about 50$ and extremely easy to mod.
The emulator doesn’t suck, your computer sucks. I played it all the way through at 60fps on my laptop.
Angry German gamer? That’s what this was called right? What a throwback.
I bought a ps3 just for this Only 100$, game was 10, ebay is great.
I feel that bro. But I do have a ps3 I just need to dust it off and buy a copy. Really hoping for master collection, two to include four. Love to play that handheld on my switch or steam deck.
I had a good time running it on PC. Not a perfect one by far, but worth the hassle getting the shit to work
The emulator isn't bad you just gotta tinker with it to make it work with your computer.
The good news is MGS4 is like 80% cutscene so you can just watch it on YouTube if you really want 😂
The emulator rules though? It's great!
Hm emulator worked perfect for me to play through it. You have to install a patch for the game but with youtube available it’s very easy to do it
We are ALL waiting for this.
Used PS3s, son. They're cheap now, I think, and it'll be the mother of all Consoles. You can't fret over every frame.
What? I played it on emulator and it gave 60 FPS most of the time.
I can't play Mgs4 either 😔
Isn't it coming with the collection vol 2?
The pain…
You can find some pretty good deals for PS3s on Mercari, my brother got one for about $150 and the games come pretty cheap there too. But if you want a more modern experience then you're gonna have to wait a WHILE.
I played act 1 and part of act 2 with the emulator RPCS3 and it ran and looked great on my PC, I don't remember encountering any issues other than a couple of crashes.
I played on PS Now on PC, worked great! Not sure if you can still do that but worth looking into
It works good on NBA jam
That's me, it's the only MGS that I couldn't play yet
Plenty of youtube videos out there that show it. I know it's not the same, but the game is basically just a long movie anyways so
Just watch the steak Bentley video and call it a day. Truly.
Emulator is working great you need to set it up correctly and you get 4k 60.
So glad iv kept all my consoles since the PS1
Should I homebrew my ps3 to play metal gear four?
I bought a PS3 just to play mgs4. Completely worth it.
Buy a ps3 my guy
You can get a used PS3 for around $80, they're not ridiculously expensive. A copy of MGS4 should also be a pretty easy find, since it sold over 7 million units IIRC. You'd also be able to play Peace Walker on the PS3 because of the HD Collection being on PS3.
2025. february 14.
Get a ps3 on ebay
Keep your eye out on local places like Facebook marketplace if you are in the USA. I just scored a ps3 for $25 just as an extra refurbishing project.
I bought a PS3 last year almost exclusively because of it.
I got a ps3 to play this game. It wouldn’t get past the third cutscene until I got a different console and a different disc
You can find a PS3 superslim on ebay for around $50, if you snipe a good deal.
I recently bought a PS3 to relive my Metal Gear Memories. I'm sure that someone has one they're willing to part with, in your area.
I bought the backwards compatible PS3 back in the day just to play this. Well that and run older games and blu-rays. It was $800. Yikes.
real
I think about this everyday man…
Want I really want is new metal gear games continuing the story (Hella hyped for mgsd)
Want I really want is new metal gear games continuing the story (Hella hyped for mgsd)
I have a PlayStation 3, and I tried playing it again, and it’s hard to get used to the lower frame rate of the older console
I'm afraid it's been… 9 years… (when MGS4 on PC gets released)
Emulator is much better than PS3. I have a decent PC and was able to run at 4k60 (most of the time) I used the special RPCS3 build but I’m pretty sure the current main build is even better now.
I tried to play on rpcs3 and it’s not good. I personally will wait for a port.
watching the entire walkthrough on youtube is gonna have to be what i do because i’m not waiting forever
*lol this meme is so real it's no fucking joke* I really wanna play mgo2 but it'll make my puny i5 1050 build cry with RPCS3
Don't diss RPCS3, it runs MGS4 at 4K60 for me. You're just broke.
Totally playable on an emulator, just save frequently.
The emulator is very good. What’s wrong with it
I feel like mgs4 is never going to come out.
It's worth it to grab a ps3 slim and a copy
I was fortunate to get ps3 for Christmas in like 2021, and mgs4 was in it along with other games that my friend did not play since he played mostly gta5 & fifa
It doesn't run good on PS3 either lol, look for RPCS3
Hopefully a remaster of mgo?
try out rpcs 3 builds exclusively for mgs 4. I played 30 fps 1080p with few bugs on my i7 10750h.
You can get a PS3 and a copy for reeelatively cheap?
people in the comments saying they played it i call bullshit drop the link for the ROM you used in the comments not a you tube video of it being done not a video of what emulator to use the actual website the ROM was downloaded until then you talking cap
War.. war has changed
I actually finished it on my laptop 👀 So i wouldn't say that the emulator sucks but it's definitely not great either But if you adjust the right settings it might work for you
Probably will get down voted to hell... you're not missing out! 😅
🤣🤣🤣me currently
If we're lucky we'll get it at the end of this year
Meme is funny but shitting on RPCS3 just doesn't sit right with me.
A few years back I played mgs 4 on my ps4 using psnow it wasn’t perfect but definitely playable!
60FPS on RPCS3 and 4k even got BB emblem
The emulator is phenomenal now, it has come a longggg way from even a year ago. It’s possible to play the game 60fps 4k very stable on rpcs3, all you need is a solid cpu.
