I think i did pretty good. I started out very simple no fertilizers and no nothing just compost tea and normal water. One thing i could have done is lst but since its my first time I didn’t know about it till recently what i did notice is that a fan is needed for indoors because i saw some mold on the bottom leaves and cut them off but once i got a fan it calmed down.
It’s all about learning man! Some tips now that I’m in my second harvest, I’d recommend one of those outlet timers for the lights so it keeps things consistent. I have a big house fan in my tent that runs 24/7 and my plants seem to like it. Once you really start automating things move to the water. I made a self watering contraption using a 5g bucket and some hoses. Throw a little water pump set on a timer for twice a day in there and you’ll be set! Keep up the good work man
The light timer did help a lot because at the beginning when i was going full hood mode i had to wake up at 5am to turn the light on and turn it off at 11pm during the vegetation stage. After for flowering i did it from 7-7

I've probably grown 10 or 11 times now, over the years, and i'd gotten cocky this time, usually i'd have at least a PC fan somewhere blowing on it. I've got a cupboard-sized space with an extractor fan pulling through an air-filter for stealth and general pleasantness. I figured that's surely enough airflow to keep it dry. Incorrect. Lost about 1/4 of the yield to mold. There were only a few little patches but once it's on a cola that's generally the whole thing gone, it'll spread before it drys and it's potentially already eaten away at the inside anyway.
TL;DR direct airflow is essential.

Fan - 34pound from (londongrow) coco coir, perlite, worm castings, beetle frase, and batgwano for your soil mix. Grab a bottle of calmag - set for a few future runs.
mars hydro do some amazing cheap led with good yeild potential.
If you dont want to lst, top the plants from fithnode onwards, personally I find it easier and less time consuming.

I've found that the denser the bud, the worse it is for smoking. At least in my experience. Dense buds means it's difficult to trim sugar leaves to the stem, so they just get trimmed at the surface, leaving a good amount of harsh leaves to smoke. Makes no difference if you dry herb vape though, which is really all I do now.
Dense buds are also more prone to mold! A fluffy sativa that's adapted to tropical humidity and heat is more suited to the average indoor grow space compared to an indica bud that's meant to grow in hot arid regions of the middle east.

On a scale of 1-10 with 1 being the worst mexican brick I've ever seen and 10 being cannabis cup level quality, I would rate yours a solid 4. I've been growing 22 years and I didn't grow anything I actually wanted to smoke until \~ year 5(pre-internet impossible to find good information). It will only get better from here so keep going.
Same as you 20y. It was mostly bro science learning though. For the first 6 years, I was drying it far too fast and ruining the great flavours that can be had

On a scale with the best flower on it, its maybe like a 6 but man for your first grow its a 10 just because you actually made it to the end. My advice from now on would be to look a lot into genetics. Many new growers dont realise the importance of them. Just know were all prouf of you:)
For your first grow probably a 9. But in general I 5 is fair. Most people need five iterations until they reach mid tier. I’m sure on your fifth iteration you’ll be in the 8-9 range!
Personally i haven’t tried it but i have a few friends who have and they say its a smooth smoke with a good taste. One of my friends said he couldn’t feel his feet but he could’ve been over exaggerating

After this cures for another month or two you'll be blown away at how good it is. Any comparison to dispensary bud you will realize is a complete joke.

I rate weed based on the high the most. The rest is cosmetics and for bag appeal/sale. You like the high? That’s all that should matter unless you are planning on selling.
For a first grow, you nailed it, imo. I'd give you an 8/10, but after smoking some, that could go up or down or stay the same. For your next grow, I'd recommend getting some seeds from trusted and reliable breeders. You'll get lots of opinions on good seed breeders, but you'll start to notice the same names coming up.
6-7. And that's without smoking it or smelling it . Looks like you got the hang of it . So imagine what quality genetics and good fertilizer will do for you .

You seem to have some decent weed there. This would sell at my local dispensary starting at 4$ to 5$ the gram depending on smell , taste and potency (maybe up to 6$ if all 3 are on point).
Take everything you learned and put it to use on the next grow. It will only get better.
Note: for perspective everything sold in my local dispensary is atleast a 5/10. Starting at 4$/g and the top shelf (10/10) goes for 12$/g. All prices are cad.
I don't have enough experience to rate it, but even if it's kinda good, it'll be 10x better than anything you could buy at a dispo. Wait until you see the kief that you haven't been getting. 😉🤘
Rating doesn't matter for personal consumption. I know I am biased on my own grows as I enjoyed my worst homegrown nugs better than any dispensary flower. You should be proud that you got some nice flower out of your first grow. Kudos!
I suggest you take note of the number of days you were in flower. If the high is too heady for you, you may want to wait longer till harvest next time, if it is too much body, then harvest earlier. Each strain you grow will be different, so knowing where the trichomes are in their cycle will be the best method of determining when to harvest based on your preference, but absent of that, keeping notes on what you did during the grow is very helpful if you want to make adjustments on subsequent grows.
If you can afford it, you should also get some quality genetics. With a successful grow under your belt, you have what it takes to grow a strain that you want. A majority of my least fav grows have been from "white label seeds" or overpriced seed packs ($100-150 for 5 seeds). Most seeds that cost about $45-60 for a 3-5 pack have been amazing.

Without seeing it in person I’d say around a 3 in terms of genetics, a 7+ in terms being well grown. Genetics play such a huge part. Even if a master grower were given these seeds they likely couldn’t get this over a 4. The market today in some parts of the US have such high expectations for what an 8-10 is that you need well bred genetics/phenos to even have a chance of claiming something as ‘top grade’. Rating is really all subjective in the end but is just how I see it from a consumer/grower perspective
3-4 I would say. Not great trichome coverage although it is existent. My guess is your drying and curing needs some improvement. Try to get it cooler and hang the whole plant for at least a week before trimming or anything.

If you run your lights at night you'll save money on electric and keep your temps down a bit

Rating doesn't matter for personal consumption. I know I am biased on my own grows as I enjoyed my worst homegrown nugs better than any dispensary flower. You should be proud that you got some nice flower out of your first grow. Kudos! I suggest you take note of the number of days you were in flower. If the high is too heady for you, you may want to wait longer till harvest next time, if it is too much body, then harvest earlier. Each strain you grow will be different, so knowing where the trichomes are in their cycle will be the best method of determining when to harvest based on your preference, but absent of that, keeping notes on what you did during the grow is very helpful if you want to make adjustments on subsequent grows. If you can afford it, you should also get some quality genetics. With a successful grow under your belt, you have what it takes to grow a strain that you want. A majority of my least fav grows have been from "white label seeds" or overpriced seed packs ($100-150 for 5 seeds). Most seeds that cost about $45-60 for a 3-5 pack have been amazing. Congrats on your first successful grow and keep growing! Trust me that it only gets better and easier as you continue growing and learning. Cheers!

Without seeing it in person I’d say around a 3 in terms of genetics, a 7+ in terms being well grown. Genetics play such a huge part. Even if a master grower were given these seeds they likely couldn’t get this over a 4. The market today in some parts of the US have such high expectations for what an 8-10 is that you need well bred genetics/phenos to even have a chance of claiming something as ‘top grade’. Rating is really all subjective in the end but is just how I see it from a consumer/grower perspective

3-4 I would say. Not great trichome coverage although it is existent. My guess is your drying and curing needs some improvement. Try to get it cooler and hang the whole plant for at least a week before trimming or anything.
