I had to fly across the country to clean out a house. I had two days and if it didn't fit in the pod, I put it on fb or out to the curb. It really broke my heart but sometimes you don't have an option. Also, just my experience but fb buyers are crazy.
This!! Absolutely check it or even treat it before bringing it into your home. We think we might have bedbugs from furniture we paid a high price on from a store that specializes in refurbishing MCM furniture. I’d have never imagined this could happen, especially from an expensive store. I can’t imagine trusting side of road furniture if even a “professional” could do this to us.
I've gotten lucky over the years with this sort of thing. I didn't even think about it before my brother got a bedbug infestation from a dumpster dive.
I'm looking at the drawer pulls, and thinking "wow, that looks so familiar, like I could just reach out and touch it".
Huh. Wait. I walk around the corner into the office area of my dad's house... where my eyes are met with the matching child's desk, dresser and slanted shelving units that go on top of these, LOL Got to get rid of them soon. Shame I sold the matching chair with a different desk.

Oh yeah man for sure. Was helping a friend's GF move a table once and roaches came pouring out of it. Even wood furniture can be infested.
I got bedbugs from a wood bedframe years ago.
