I’m interested in how it will do getting rid of more innate patterns. For me one of the big clues is how the foreground character often matches the background colors. It’s hard to explain because I don’t know much about color theory, but there is very an alignment that happens. Like even the girl in blue’s background is bluer than the other girls.
The thing is that works to discern from an amateur photo taken from your phone. Because you don't usually edit it just take it and post as is. But with professional photography, you usually try to match colors in a scene but you'll edit them so they match, you usually don't want 4 types of blue in an image.
So it's been weird reading how "if the colors match" then you can tell it's AI, when that's something that's you do all the time in photography.
Look at how fast these tools are evolving though.
Only last year, you took a look at hands or any text in the picture and took about 3 seconds to confirm it was not real.
The first one got me; but looking again, no hands. For image 2 and 3, still a give away.
So yeah, you might use eyelashes or something else, but you know that there will be developers having a think about that and maybe this year or next, they will be better

In the first one, the left eye, the blinds and the randomly super long lock of dark hair on her left shoulder are clear giveaways. It's all impressive stuff, but so far, we're seeing the same problem over and over: AI makes gross mistakes with the confidence of a factory press.
Honestly, if it wasn't for the hands, this could pass as some influencer that uses too many smoothness filters.
Thank god. I'm happy Midjourney chose to go in this direction. Although, knowing them, they're about to clamp on any of these true realism styles.
The hand between the leg on 7 is nightmare fuel.
1- The wonky shoulder on our left and the way her eye on our right just bleeds into her hair is a dead giveaway.

3- sleeve ends don't look like that and her arm on our right would have to be very much broken to be resting in that way.
4 - the leg on our right is way out of alignment with the rest of her body. Eyelashes, never heard of them lol.
5- the hand on our right has no thumb, all fingers. The weird area on her jeans near that same hand where it looks like something is knotted around her leg?
6 - the way the sweater sleeve on our left jumps down her hand when it should've ended at her wrist. Her knees are all wonky.
8- her leg is way jacked up and it appears as though she has 92 front teeth.

The first was the only one that passed my initial look (hiding the hands was clever), but all of them had issues when you look carefully knowing that they are AI
But if I say saw #1 in something like a cellphone review that was testing camera options, or stock photo advertising something and wasn't looking for signs of AI then may have not noticed.

The sweaters make no sense too. The edges are all messed up, sometimes they are in a place where they are not supposed to be. It looks just so wrong.
If anything, the left eye being a bit uneven makes it more “real”. Legitimate human faces have imperfections and aren’t symmetrical.
The creepy part is that it’s like 8 different women but the AI is like: This is the same woman.
