Don't fight it, James, just come to the light.

Character_Double_394

yeah, he needs to black out more info😅 im no creeper, but this is the internet

jepal357

I mean his username says James too

pickettj

Yeah, it took me all of twenty seconds to find his house and I have zero experience at this. Fifteen seconds was waiting for Google Maps to load.

posdata

gets us a % off our phone bill , I welcomed it hah

icecoldcoke319

You can get AARP at 18 it’s not exclusive to 50+

Fit-Neighborhood2847

I didn't realize that. I got my invitation to join AARP when I was in my 40's.

Ornery-Thing3829

I literally came here to say this!

bufftbone

I’ve been getting those since my mid 30’s

gobbershite

As soon as I turned 45 I started receiving ads left and right for full dental implants along with all those gnarly pictures in those ads.

leafintheair5794

Lucky you. I’ve been receiving from funeral houses for many years already.

Working_Marsupial390

I got one when I was 14

lamiejiv1

I got one when I was 13

the9000thHAL

I got one around the time I turned 23 lol

Real-Direction-1083

Well, we get free prostate checks after a certain age here in Australia so that's something to look forward to, I guess.

No_Bottle_8910

Oh really? Are you sure that guy in the van is qualified?

Real-Direction-1083

I don't care as long as I get a free jelly bean

Intrepid_Bluebird_93

Not sure what that means.. just make sure the guy in the van ain't giving the jelly bean....

Real-Direction-1083

Well, its the doctors that normally hand out jelly beans to good boys for keeping still during the examination.

EvenOutlandishness88

They've really been pushing to get the younger ones since they lost a TON of people over their dirty deeds from when they were pushing those town halls where they just wanted to lecture and not let people ask questions. Should have stayed out of politics.

RedisforFun

You can sign up for aarp at any age, just so you know.

Most-Sort5470

As long as you don’t ready the fine print.

Trainzfan1

I honestly don't get it.

Gumbercules81

I got one on the mail when I was in my 20s

jxj24

I was getting those in my early teens. You can actually become a member then.

DoodleBug19-88

AARP, planning my funeral, invitations to nursing homes, hearing tests. Anything that actual old people might need or want I’ve been getting mail for it for like 10 years now. I’m 35.

rhart33963

The money they spend on mailings is ridiculous. Wait until you turn 50, twice per week a different offer to join.

Bobbogee

Standby, your invitation to join the Neptune Society is in the mail!

Juan-Quixote

Came here to say the same thing!

BenchDramatic8250

43... they must be slipping, they shoud have caught you closer to 35.

ValkyrieVibeke

I turned 43 this month, so I guess we'll see how long it takes them to send it to me.

Bebinn

Hah! I just got that cooler in the mail. It's not as big as I want it to be but it's still useful. I'm 54, hubby just turned 62. Though I have read my in-laws magazines because hubby is on Medicare and they have info about that sometimes. Just never bothered subscribing until now.

cutepuffin71

I’m 38 and have been getting them for the past 3 years. 😂😂

EdwardFondleHands

I turn 36 in 16 days and I have been getting those since my 20s no worries be happy

Notice_Resident

The R in AARP now stands for "Retiring someday". They provide information on how to set up your retirement, as well as what to do after you retire. Having the AARP card will sometimes get you the "Senior Discount" with being a senior yet.

ASwarmofKoala

Hell yeah free cooler.

[deleted]

I'm 44 and I've been getting these for years.

DeadEspeon

Me at 25 getting g calls for life insurance and fall necklaces for seniors.

MsAnnabel

Just wait until the funeral/cremation ads start pouring in lol

sabo81

I turn 43 in a couple of weeks. I'll be looking for mine

practiceredstone

I just got an Aarp membership not long ago. My name is Tommy. They put my name down as Tammy. Next thing you know I’m getting junk emails with Tammy on it. I called aarp and gave them the business. They denied giving out or selling my info. But I told them to keep my info private. Needless to say , I stopped getting junk emails of an unidentifiable nature.

FaronTheHero

I've heard AARP gets you some damn good deals and discounts

writerlady6

Hubs & I made the mistake of signing up when we hit geezer age. Immediately, we began getting two life insurance junk mail pieces \*per week\* - one from New York Life and one from Hartford. I'm already with NYL & have been since I turned 21; it's surprising that they stoop to AARP's shiftiness level with the endless promotions. Also, when we didn't renew, I literally had to phone AARP twice to get off their in-house junk mail lists & stop that constant stream of life insurance mail spam. The only benefit we got from AARP membership is whatever generic made-in-China promo item is featured on their solicitations. That, and our membership cards, finally arrived four months into our membership. It says volumes that the AARP "partner" life insurance promo mailings started arriving within eight days, but we had to ask for the cards when they hadn't arrived within the first financial quarter of membership. It makes sense that their membership is so cheap - you're basically paying them to receive junk mail. 0/10 - Do not recommend.

Unusual_Flounder2073

Have not got an invite yet at 54. But my wife signed up to get some sort of discount.

AdPitiful621

Fill it out you late

AdPitiful621

It's good 💯💯

PerspectiveTop3184

what is the problem James? 🤷‍♂️

techieguyjames

Acceptable-Rice5929

CR1039

Petralhead76

Welcome to the club old man 👴🏼

Suzyd1962

When I turned 40, I received a letter promoting electric wheelchairs/scooters.

[deleted]

Shit man, ill take it if you dont.

Formal-Regular794

We all got them at that age. Welcome to “inevitability.” Jump on in, the water’s warm. 😘

Pdgarcia66

AARP grooming…

Doibu

I got my first communication from them at the age of 29. It’s been 10 years of happy birthdays.

OkInitiative7327

AARP has good discounts, were part of it because my husband got a free subscription many years ago.

brandonbruce

I got these early 30’s

funkmob2010

Got my first one at 18.

Jhops_

If that wasn't bad enough, they don't appear to be able to do math (or they're taking a very liberal interpretation of "up to"). Discount of "up to" 43% would mean the rate could be as low as 57%. .57x16 = $9.12 ≠ 12 .57x43 = $24.51 ≠ 30 .57x63 = $35.91 ≠ 45 The code CHEERS24 implies the real discount is likely 24%, but they would *still* be overcharging. Scams all around.

4linosa

LUCKY! I’ve been waiting for my invite since I was 24.
