I used to live behind that spot on Cambridge and the things I saw go down coming home from a closing bar shift at 4am is almost worthy of a morbid coffee table book.
Someone needs to be retrained or something. Or maybe they're too good at loophole for sake of statistics. Last fall there was a shooting next to my house (off uwm) and it was classified as "misuse of a weapon" I don't think they close the whole block down for that kind of incident
Come on now, how else do you expect crime stats to go down?
Playing around with how crime is classified is one way to show a reduction in crime. It is used time after time by cities around the country.
I actually feel like they would shut down a block on the east side, especially by UWM if someone reported gun shots during the day. And someone can fire a gun by accident which would be misuse if there was no intended target.
At that point, maybe 3 months previously, someone was shot and killed on that same block. What Im trying is, if it was only misuse and no one was hurt why was the "roundabout" taped off? Idk. I've been forced to call the police recently and it's always so disheartening for me to see them refuse to simply do their jobs.
Edit- rage typing threw some extra letters and numbers in here
Actually I was newhall/hartford so just a few blocks away. Now that you mention nonsense on Cramer too I'm starting to feel better about having been screwed out of my house. I can't belive I'm paying lakeshore drive taxes and can't even walk around outside at night.
I used to live on Warren. A lot of dealing is going in that parking lot. It is a very rough corner. We had yellow tape for shootings 3 times in the 6 months we were living there.
Same, almost 20 years ago and it was the same back then. I don't know what it is about that Q Doba corner of the Brady parking lot but it's always been sketch af and imo way worse than the Walgreens, would never walk on that side of the street.
Only time I have been jumped in Milwaukee was across Brady from this Walgreens at around 2 am as I rounded the corner onto Brady from Farwell. Be careful late at night folks!

That Walgreens is a portal to hell
apt concise analysis
It’s more like purgatory
That place is seriously the real life Mos Eisley cantina
It’s such a fucking shit hole
Even more so at 2 AM, but it’s open.
Eh. I'll wait for CVS to open.
Wait, I thought this was Victor's, Milwaukee's lowest common denominator.
Passersby were amazed by the unusually large amounts of blood.
Gawt Dayum! Well done, friend.
Seconded 🙌🙌

Well? You gonna share some stories or are you too scared?
He’s trying to sell the book he’s writing, genius
I'd buy it
Milwaukee’s Arkham asylum
I just looked at the police call log and it was described as “recklessly endangering safety” 🤨 no other details unfortunately

When scrolling the log I saw a LOT categorized as “trouble.” Couldn’t get anymore vague than that…
That's what Jackie Chan don't want none of!

Was that on Cramer by any chance? I remember seeing the block closed off and being really confused

You mean the Mos Isley of Milwaukee? Anything is possible over there.
That seems par for the course
Someone opened the bathroom...
