I finished my Classic Airframes Westland Wyvern kit. The kit was not great. There were no locating pins for parts, the resin parts had to be cut down and sanded down significantly to fit, and there was a lot of flash on the parts. Detail was not too bad though. I used Mr Color paints airbrushed throughout, with Humbrol panel lining and Tamiya weathering for the exhaust, and Humbrol for paintbrushed detail.

Oh wow that looks really nice! I haven’t seen that kit in person but old classic airframes stuff isn’t… great. Good details but fit was atrocious. Good job turning it into a very nice looking model. I didn’t realize how big the Wyvern is too - dwarfs the Seafire. I did the airfix seafire a while ago and it was quite a nice kit - did RCN variant though.

Thanks! The kit had nice detail despite the poor fit. I did use a bit of filler. It's a big place - significantly bigger than an F-16 (at our model club it was next to the 1/48 F-16). The RCN one sounds nice. What colour scheme is it?
