This issue isn't that uncommon.

I don’t see why you couldn’t use an airbrush (assuming you have one), a wash is just highly diluted paint afterall. I’ve used an airbrush to apply inks before which are similar and then wiped off the excess just as I would with a wash.
As per odd username suggests, this isn’t they uncommon. I’ve got a bit of shakes and find short painting sessions of having my hands in my lap and leaning into my hands help with this, everyone is different but I’ve felt that works.
