How is this too much?
12 quad, 5 glute/quad, 4 calf.
You guys are convinced that if you do more than 1 set as a natural you'll just break apart and combust
Seriously. I was a new, natty, lifter when I started and did more than most recommendations on here. People wonder why there's an influx in "am I making progress??!?!?" posts lol
5 glute and quad sets per week is a fucking crime against humanity
I can definitely see why some folks feel it's a bit too much. I'm not saying it's insane amount of volume, but if you push those sets HARD, it's definitely no easy workout and doing it more than once per week on a regular basis may affect recovery, assuming you're giving other body parts similar level of attention in training...
You’re spitting facts rn , my best progress was when I pushed it and hated the workout halfway through . Half these movements you’re sitting lmao . Calf should even be counted as actual fatigue . This isn’t too much volume for natties if anything this should be the minimum . If you have trouble recovering then eat more and rest more then hit it hard again that is what working out is
That's not what I mean at all. I strongly believe that 8-10 reaaally hard sets are only marginally worse for hypertrophy stimulation than 12, but the amount of energy you save is substantial. We all have limited amount of energy levels and there is a point of diminishing returns as far as volume goes. But hey, you do you. In the end, it's still far better to be overtrained from too much volume and hit a plateau then to be undertrained.
Also, this is probably not his workout and I'm fairly sure his workout changes. Especially since he talks about using the full stack for leg extensions in this video for 20 reps in this video here.

Too much volume for natties
If enhanced yes For Naturals to much volume
Damn I gotta tone down my program lol

It definitely depends on genetics and if you’re just a newbie vs advanced

So we shouldn't do a lot of volume because it'll be hard? No wonder you guys make no progress

Seems to be working for him.
Gotta hit hammies

This, he atleast has 2 different leg days probably one quad focused and one ham focused. Also they change things up all the time.
Man i can barely do 3 sets of walking lunges without jacking my heart rate up 5 is insanity
Dude I have good cardio and I’ll do 3 sets of stationary lunges and be on the verge of heatstroke and heart attack
That just means you have room to improve

Gotta do them laying back on the machine , better contraction through the whole quad
I meant leg press my bad. Mind fart.
I agree but you turn those into tempo reps and they are killers
yo what app is that?
