If you can write over an "original" dvd, it isn't one, it's a bootleg.
But why would you even bother writing over one anyways? Who even uses dvds anymore? Hell, I haven't even had an optical drive of any.tyoe for like 10 years.
I mean, you can write a whopping 8.5gb to a dvd. Just get an SD card.
Oh I dont disagree I have just noticed how some people act when either myself or friends have gotten things like sports cars, bikes, boats, and other large purchases
Small purchases too! A skateboard, a frisbee or anything "fun" is considered childish by a lot of people
"mid life crisis"
the real crisis is not enjoying life!
When you hit that point in time even as an adult or you and your co workers talk about anime and video-games.. STILL.
As if passing time outside of work _has_ to be viewed as a chore because we aren't at work doing work? Like wtf, who pays you to judge us for even remotely trying enjoy what little time we have between shifts and a 5-6 day work week hot damn., 🥲
Man, where do you all live that people are so up tight? Is this Midwest or rural thing? I couldn’t imagine anyone in my life giving me grief about a selfish move a skateboard or motorcycle is.
I'm in Portland oregon but idk I think it's the same most everywhere, people just hate seeing fun because they aren't having any themselves
Most people are fine but the haters stick in the memory
I'm just now starting my bike journey and I'm 53. So at the next big family event we had, I simply told everyone that I'm going to ride, ill be as safe as possible so you can either support me or just go away because your opinion is not going to change my mind and they all just had to accept it. I'm sure they whisper amongst themselves about it but I don't hear shit. People tell you to go live your best life, well then get the hell out of my way..
Yes! Growing up, I really appreciated my Dad did not let go if his boyhood hobby of building and flying model and radio controlled planes. Really helped me developed a love for learning and researching things. He was also actually a rider before I was born and safety gear and training at that time was non existent so I understand why he let go of riding.
Its a little sad most flying fields are now a little too far so what I share with my children is the love of playing video games. I'd rather they play games than mindlessly watch videos in Youtube or Social Media. Playing outside would be better but I have to choose my battles.
People also tend to hate it when you say you don’t want kids. I’m in my 20s with no kids and I found a doctor that is going to do a vasectomy for me next month. I tell this to people with kids, and they react like I just told them they should kill theirs.
I just don’t want kids. My wife and I have talked about it for 4 years and we have decided that we want to live our lives for ourselves, doing what we want to do. I don’t see why this is so offensive to some people?
The message of the movie is the opposite tho. It reminds us we lose too much of our childlike innocence and sense of wonder when we grow up. I like this movie unironically.
Option 1; A mischievous person just wanted to fuck with you.
Option 2: Coming back at a later date/time and seeing the DVD still at the same location would tell the person the originally placed it that the bike has not been attended to for a while. This + other factors would be considered before potentially stealing the bike.
I once had someone drop a plastic bag of stuff in the same parking space as my motorcycle one day. It stayed there for a couple days before it mysteriously got removed. I wanted to think it was an honest mistake but who just drops and leaves a grocery bag next to a motorcycle for days without picking it up? Definitely felt like something you’re describing.
And no, I didn’t look what was in the bag.
I heard some people leave little items on bikes parked in the open to see if the owner frequently moves it. Maybe it’s a test to see if they can steal the bike. Really odd.
Turn case inside out use the DVD holder as a Puck.
fold the Movie sleeve and use as a bookmark.
use the actual DVD as coaster if you don't feel like ripping/storing the actual data, and wipe it completely.
(honestly the very last bit of advice is a chore, just use as coaster lol).
Someone once dropped off a crate of vinyl records on my doorstep. There were like 50 copies of a self produced country music album. Don't know who, or why; no one came back for them. I listened to the record and it was really bad so I put the crate in my car with intentions on throwing them in the dumpster at work.
Honestly forgot about them back there and I started leaving them on peoples windshields when I would hit the bars. It was actually quite entertaining when I'd be on the patio nearby and could overhear some drunk person screaming about the record lol possibly whats going on here.
I don't think they're calling you immature. Been a while since I saw the movie but it's about approaching adulthood with childlike joy and choosing to be a good person. Maybe they're saying you on your bike reminds them of that, or encouraging you to think of it that way?
Basically the 13 year old, Jenna, wishes to be 30 and wakes up in her 30 year old self. She's all thrilled to have fancy clothes, nice apt, dream job, but realizes that her 30 year old self is jaded, unkind, and surrounds herself with questionable people. She sets out to fix this, and shenanigans and dance party scenes follow. Won't spoil the ending in case you do watch, but it's a really sweet movie!!
But honestly most likely like the other comments said it's a thief trying to see how often you check your bike lol
Definitely a gang marking your bike so they can come back and steal it. You need to throw that away and leave a copy of the fast and furious on there to show dominance.
What DVD could you leave to continue this abstract conversation?
Drop Dead Fred?
Look Who’s Talking Now?
Armageddon?
IDK!
When I instantly saw it, (negative me) instantly thought that it was a dig at maturity(?) or lack thereof?
Is there a chance it was just on the floor and a kind-hearted person picked it up and placed it there? Quite unlikely as it’s not like just leaving it on a wall, is it?
There’s a lot of questions unanswered here…
Ha! I couldn’t DREAM of that title! Glad it’s a real movie. Just gotta find the DVD version…..
Don’t look too deep into other people’s bullshit - there’s a LOT of strange people out there… a few good eggs too…
😊
BMW in Germany actually still offers the entire gearbox new on their website. Bit pricey. I’d probably just get new shafts. Decent amount of work though haha.
Is it like the ducks for jeeps, maybe you've got to start buying more dvds from the second hand shop. I like this, wouldn't mind finding a dvd on my bike
Someone left a packaged croissant in the space between my bike & exhaust once. I love croissants and it was the usual brand I get but it annoyed the hell out of me that morning for some reason
It’s probably not that deep. Somebody may have been walking down your street at night and wanted to get rid of that DVD and thought “hehe what if I just left it on this bike?” 🤷🏻♂️😂
Could be someone didn't want to throw way a watched working DVD, and found your bike a convenient place to gift it to someone else. Don't over think it. The story behind it is probably more mundane than it appears.
Seems kind of fun to leave a random 2000’s rom-com on people’s vehicles. Next time I see a car taking up 2 spots I’ll put a copy of Maid in Manhattan on their windshield.
It's probably someone trying to open your eyes to the pedophilia in Hollywood. Why are movies like this made comedies? What is funny/harmless about making a 13 year old girl instantly 30? It's creepy.
But like someone else said, they were probably using it as a marker to see if someone moves the bike in a certain period of time, planning for a theft.
Might as well, could be something else in the dvd ;)
Sadly (or not), it’s the original DVD
Sorry it's not Brazilian fart porn. Better luck next time!
Missed South Park reference, I enjoy that episode so much
It's ectoplasm!
Headin’ down Californee
We must show the internet THE RESPECT!
You might wanna read that DVD because you can easily rewrite them ;) There’s still hope left!
You cannot rewrite a pressed dvd. Only a DVD-RW
Not to mention but they are so cheap to buy, you would just be wasting your time
You might be impressed how much the tehnogoly has evolved ^.^
I’m just curious as to what ”tehnogoly” is.
It’s slang for the ability to talk out of their ass. Lol
Well you really should just gogoly it.
That’s not far off from what I say to my kid just to irk him. “Use googly”
That’s not how this works, commercially produced optical media is stamped
bUt TeHnOgOlY!
Y’all never been to Turkey or Bulgaria 🤣and it shows that
If you can write over an "original" dvd, it isn't one, it's a bootleg. But why would you even bother writing over one anyways? Who even uses dvds anymore? Hell, I haven't even had an optical drive of any.tyoe for like 10 years. I mean, you can write a whopping 8.5gb to a dvd. Just get an SD card.
I have a blu-ray player, but I've never watched a movie with it. I only use it to rip SACDs to NAS.
Bootleg don't count. Trust me bruogdabah.
How old is your bike? Is it saying your bike is old AF?
It’s a classic. 25 years old now. Think this might be a sick burn.
I think it may be a weird compliment.
I choose to take it like that.
If someone compared my piece of shit to Jennifer garner I’d be flattered
Me as well. Quite an attractive wo... I Mean bike, yes bike. 🤌
"alright, I've got my coat, my keys...hey, where's my bag of DVDs that I use to indirectly compliment people?"
It’s a high-effort, planned strategic burn.
And so precisely delivered
R1100S? Respect!
Yup, the old girl is good fun.
Once i ride one. Well, just for a spin (500 meters or something) - very good bike. Live long, ride long!
?? You speeding friend?
What?
"13 going on 30"
Some people think once you become an adult you have to give up everything fun in your life to support your family and if you don't you are a man child
But bikes came before all that nonsense…
Oh I dont disagree I have just noticed how some people act when either myself or friends have gotten things like sports cars, bikes, boats, and other large purchases
Small purchases too! A skateboard, a frisbee or anything "fun" is considered childish by a lot of people "mid life crisis" the real crisis is not enjoying life!
Oooh they’d love my Lego collection…
They'd love my nerf collection too! Heaven forbid adults with disposable income want to enjoy life!
When you hit that point in time even as an adult or you and your co workers talk about anime and video-games.. STILL. As if passing time outside of work _has_ to be viewed as a chore because we aren't at work doing work? NO. FUN. ALLOWED.

Indeed! I'm F69, and I started riding my own at 50 years YOUNG. Now on my 3rd bike and still loving it! I have no kids or partner though.
Same, just a bunch of teenage rug rats who know everything about anything, just ask them..lol
That people is miserable
I like that the “give up everything to support your family” was summed up with the term “nonsense”. Glad I’m not the only one.
Preach it. ![gif](giphy|yMjJPUyJhqP1urecWI|downsized)

I'm convinced there is a never ending supply of such people.
This really hit me
Jokes on them, my kids love my motorcycle.
Honestly, why do people do this to themselves and lower their QoL/happiness is beyond me...
People also tend to hate it when you say you don’t want kids. I’m in my 20s with no kids and I found a doctor that is going to do a vasectomy for me next month. The bike is immediately outside my front door, and gets moved quite a lot, so they’ll have no luck there.
Score!
Did he/ she leave a phone number?
Nope
I heard some people leave little items on bikes parked in the open to see if the owner frequently moves it. Maybe it’s a test to see if they can steal the bike. Really odd.
Maybe, but this is on my garden path, immediately outside my front door. Unusual.
Use the dvd as a kickstand puck. It's about all it's good for.
It’s a bit big - I’ve got a proper one under the seat!
I mean it's not the best movie in the world, but it was entertaining enough. I've definitely seen worse. Give it a watch, you might be surprised
R1100S
Yarp.
Cool bike, I want one as well. Imma get one this winter if I find 😁
They’re awesome. Took me a little while to find one I liked with some work done but this is a nice one.
Someone once left a packet of bacon on my bike, must've been the bacon fairy 🧚♀️ 🥓
This sounds Canadian.
Am in Scotland 🏴🥓🥓
👋
Are there drugs inside
Only if the drug is entertainment.
Booktok girlies have found you. This is the first stage of a complex multi-phase pre-planned meet-cute. Prepare accordingly!

2nd and Charles will give you a tank of gas for that.
I feel like they are calling you childish, but who cares, be yourself

Are you 30, flirty and thriving?
It’s a good movie tho.
No, no and no.
I don't think they're calling you immature. Been a while since I saw the movie but it's about approaching adulthood with childlike joy and choosing to be a good person. Instructions unclear - left out a copy of the Barbie movie.

Probably [this](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7507644/?ref_=ext_shr_lnk) one.
Ha! I couldn’t DREAM of that title! Glad it’s a real movie. Just gotta find the DVD version….. Don’t look too deep into other people’s bullshit - there’s a LOT of strange people out there… a few good eggs too… 😊
How about Hook The plot is that you shouldn't sacrifice joy just because you got old
It’s funny that someone had that dvd ready to drop it
Watch that movie dude and eat ice cream and cheese
That sounds a bit dodgy on the stomach…
It’s ok it’s good for the soul
My soul is a bit farty.
Someone once left a couple U2 tickets on my bike. People are fuckin' assholes.
My R1100s makes me feel 13 again :). Until my transmission stopped transmissioning :(
They’re all rebuildable. There’s a company in the UK that sells reconditioned gearboxes, they can’t be the only ones.
BMW in Germany actually still offers the entire gearbox new on their website. Bit pricey. I’d probably just get new shafts. Decent amount of work though haha.
Yeah, I’m not buying a brand new gearbox for a 25 year-old bike.
Haha I don’t blame you there at all.
Anything inside the cover? No note? Bizarre...
No note, just the DVD. Very strange.
It’s not a terrible movie for what it is.
Noted.
Could it be that you resemble the person on the cover?
If you’d met me you would not be stating that.
Sounds like a potential gf or bf is hitting you up for a ride and a dvd date night
I’ll check with my wife…
Ha!
it's a great movie! ( Holy shit did I just say that out loud?) lol
Yup. That was definitely out loud. Oof.
Solid choice.
Bike or film?
Film. Now you mention the motorbike looks nice too!
You're a kid at heart.
Defo

Big manly, man.
Sexy bike, man. Not sure what that dvd was about, but this is the kind of bike that makes it all worth it. 🫡👏🏿
Good movie IMO but was someone giving you a hint ?
Quite possibly…
Is it like the ducks for jeeps, maybe you've got to start buying more dvds from the second hand shop. I like this, wouldn't mind finding a dvd on my bike
Definitely flirting with you /s
Hey man, free movie.
Something similar happened to me, but it was a bag of almonds
I love that movie
Whoever left it there thinks more about You than you do about them.
Good way of thinking about things.
Someone left a packaged croissant in the space between my bike & exhaust once. I love croissants and it was the usual brand I get but it annoyed the hell out of me that morning for some reason
Oh that’s a bit stalker-like
I think they are jealous you’re living your best life and enjoying it!
I unironically like this movie. It has a good message.
Now you gotta go buy a new bike
Great score !!!’
I think someone is subtly telling you your too old for a motorbike. So I hope you revved it extra long this morning
My guess is it's someone implying that the OP is too old for this particular bike, not necessarily bikes in general.
I’m frequently told I “look 12”, and my bike is 25…
It’s probably not that deep.
It’s just a joke, matey. I’m sure it was someone just having a laugh.
Sending a message
Which is…?
Someone thinks you are a child.
Waa.
Do you have a link to that phone bag and does it block the sun?
I’m from the UK, so this might mean nothing. Careful to get the right size. https://jsaccessories.co.uk/product/kappa-smart-phone-holder-27166
It was a good movie.
Op the person who left you the dvd is calling you a child for being a bike owner apparently. Hope that helps.
I thought it was a movie with a stunt scene in it with a bike like yours, turns out it’s called date movie. 10/10 scene though
Jeeps have ducks. Motorcycles have 13 going on 30. Pass it on.
I don't think I've actually heard of that movie.
Wait what, I thought this movie was called Suddenly 30.
Seems kind of fun to leave a random 2000’s rom-com on people’s vehicles. Next time I see a car taking up 2 spots I’ll put a copy of Maid in Manhattan on their windshield.
I’d leave a package on their F150, one of those books that says “exercise for dummies”
Either you're getting some sweet ass or you're going to jail! goodbye 😂😂
Crap movie, I’d drop it on the ground right there
It’s my garden…
I think some one didn’t know what to do with it and lazily dropped it there. No hidden meaning..
Probably referring to you being a child. Pretty easy to put that one together.
Ouch.

PsyOp?
Pedophile movie
Oh, mate.
In the sense of a young inexperienced girl, (Thirteen) instantly going to Thirty being put into sexualized situations is all. Mate
