Typical retail in my area for that bike is $5900 for the 2018 with ABS, and slightly higher ($6300) for the 2017. Don't start haggling at retail, or you will make a memorable regret purchase. Start the negotiation well below retail, with a snapshot of the book value of the bike as your ammunition. Be prepared to walk if they think that somehow their bike is worth $1K more than retail for the bike. Trade in (what a dealer will give them on trade) is a good $2K lower than retail. One other consideration is that a brand new 2024 Honda CBR500 with ZERO miles is only $7300. I think that only a fool would buy a used bike with the price of a new bike! I would personally offer them $5k initially, and then not go over $5200 for a final price.

Great advice! Thanks for the insight

uhohstinkyhaha

LMAO. Dude. A brand new CBR500 costs 7 grand. None of these.

Xivilai7

A new cbr500 is over 9k so no.

I bought a 2017 ABS when it was brand new for 6500$ CAD... MSRP is 8.5k CAD now. Pretty fucked I see 2017s sell for 5500k CAD in my area. You see them for 4500 occasionally.

Literally…

mrSunsFanFather

If a new one is that price, it's a no brainer, especially with a warranty.

Both are overpriced. I saw a 2017 cb500r and in Toronto listed for $4.7k and it had 7k kms and in great condition

Lonesome-Life

Imo, stay away, too pricey for what you’re getting. Most people don’t keep the smaller cc bikes very long

1Arcite

None of these. I purchased a 2023 Honda CBR500R this month for less than these from a Dealer with tax, title, and license.

Awfulweather

These are both terrible deals

EggsOfRetaliation

None.

bootygggg

Both are ripping you off
