These a-holes love doing this shit on busy roads. I was in San Francisco over the weekend, and a bunch of shitheads shut down Van Ness Ave to do this in cars. Traffic was completely screwed. We were in an Uber and had to get out and walk because they were doing it right in front of our hotel. It amazes me how many people stand right next to these cars with their phones out as they spin in circles. They don't know the drivers or their driving skills, but what's the worst that can happen if I stand inches away from a moving vehicle doing donuts? I had never been that close to a "street takeover" before. Not my thing.

This is exactly what gives respectable motorcyclists a bad reputation- in a nutshell.

That swingarm joint on that frame probably like 🤪 now so basically the entire chassis except the front end is probably trash. Taking out a wheel, swingarm, and frame is nasty work. Lol dumbass.

It's a lot of work but I wouldn't say it's bad or particular hard if you have space to work in and a hoist. I went down hard at the track years ago and it snapped the rearset tabs off the frame of my 05 gsxr 600. Buddy and i swapped everything to a new frame in about 7hrs or so with a few breaks. Neither of us are mechanics.

I feel like the fact that it didn't take the wheel off means the damage is probably so much worse. Imaging the torque that twisted that swingarm up. And the point where it connects to the frame. I guess it's possible the bearing helped? But that just seems like a LOT of potential force & torque. It's true that engine swapping on a bike can often be done by shade tree mechanics. It just takes longer. But it seems like the frame is likely toast & so are the wheel & swingarm. The only parts staying together are the front end.
