Whaaaat? How dare you.!!! Ive actually been considering buying a modular with bluetooth, i just cant brong myself to commit to it yet, if i knew i always had someone to ride with, absolutely... Is 37 considered old?
Same age and after stacking 500 hay bales yesterday my body says we're hella old.
I'd just get a Sena or Cardo. It's nice to have music on the ride, be able to have a group chat or take a call (or willingly ignore it).
Yeah, I've been riding for about 16 years total. This is probably my 6th bike. Last one was a vtx 1800. Absolutely loved it. Sold due to financial issues.
Bluetooth is Nice tho. Music or audio books ftw. I have sena s50 conected to my phone. It makes the trips so much better. I am 35 and i drive a 98 triumph trophy 900
Do it ya old fuck. (Jk)
But seriously. Modulars are so convenient for day to day stuff. I have a cardo pack talk, that I can use with friends but 90% of the time it's just music for me on my way to/from work.Â
Schuberth C3 Pro with Cardo Freecom 4+ is quiet, comfy and great to connect to iPhone in mount via BT, get TPS info from tires, chat with son-in-law (USMC Officer from Tenn) who rides same year bike but with LOUD exhaust, beach bars, etc.
If youâre old af on a cruiser, youâre wearing a half helmet
If youâre older on a cruiser, youâre wearing a modular
If youâre an âold soulâ on a cruiser/cafe racer, youâre the type to wear a modular helmet and a flat cap
![gif](giphy|GpyS1lJXJYupG)
As a white guy with a modular helmet (Schuberth) on a Yamaha RoadStar 1700XV, this cracked me up (guessing pretty accurate if not predictive).
The cool kind. I love seeing people keeping these older bikes alive. Been fixing and selling bikes for years and while I ride a new Triumph right now, there will always be a soft spot in my heart for stuff like this.
I appreciate that. I'd say cool is my middle name, but it is not, it's actually Henry. I'd like to have a newer bike, and I've had them before, I just like having something nobody else does, even if it's cheap... it's mine, and it's unique.
as a noob rider, "brotherrrrr"
i'll still throw up the two wheels on the road and hope to get something back then smile for a few miles if you reciprocate
It's a black bike. Bike without rider rarely gives enough context to give a verdict.
First impression:good. No obnoxious straight pipes, no silly ape hangers, not trying to make a statement. Just a clean bike.
My thumbs up, so far.
You can't tell me that of it was a decked out from the factory 2020 and up street glide, you wouldn't be able to narrow down the type of rider it is...?
I'd have a prejudice, won't be able to be sure though. It's why I left an escape hatchet by saying "rarely" đ
How would you react to see a 20something on a brand new black goldwing with no rgb, chrome or other stupid stuff in in?
Glad you didnât black out the lights. Though it would be interesting to anodize the fork uppers so they arenât as shiny. I like the contrast in the wheels with the outer ring and the rotor against the black.
Our parts manager at work has one he rides about year round, though he rides a Ducati more in the summer. The Concours was/is a very reliable fun ride. Unfortunately that warmth in winter is heat in the summer đ„”. Nice ride man, stay safe and shiney side up .
Nope, it actually sits about 1.5 inches under them, it's dual exhaust too, so one under each bag. I do keep burning the paint off my stock header pipe though, it's just the parts store cans of header paint... then engine enamelnon the engine, and plastidip on the body. I did absolutely zero prep work, and just cleaned up with a razorblade when inwas done. No fucks given at that time.
The ones of the detective movies where theyre tracking down a grizzly ungroomed lump whos travelling the free way hopping from state to state killing hookers.
Just kidding nice bike thats clean.
I see the cushion and the bike type and I'm thinking you're probably fat. No insult, I'm fat too. We look best on those kinds of bikes, and the cushion sure does make a long ride less of a pain in the ass \^\^
I love gold wings. Part of what I love about gold wings are the absurd 70s van art color schemes and chrome and when old dudes go full dekotura with the accessory lights. But this is the collision of ideas I didnt know I wanted this bad - "murdered out" and "gold wing" go together like "peanut butter and jelly" and "hamburger": if someone SAID it to me I'd think they were off their meds. But in actual application god *damn* it works amazingly well. As does PB&J on a hamburder.
Ive never seen it done. From the thumbnail I thought it was going to be another stupid HD bagger, I was delighted when I noticed the heads sticking out. It looks goooood, man. I'd totally join you for a run on my [big black luxury yacht](https://i.redd.it/osh1oys7uc7d1.jpeg).
Cool bike! Unique these days. I'd guess youre just a cruiser, taking it easy and putting lots of miles in on the weekends. And Alt ADV Dad. def cooler :)
See any patch gangs on Goldwings?
Goldwing riders are generally geezers with white hair and plenty of money. We lesser citizens buy up the dead man wings. Me, I ride BMWs. The last one I bought was from an 80yo man with 100,000 miles on it. Iâm 73 and will probably ride it to my funeral.
Oh you definitely should. Avoid mid fall as itâs too congested with cars from all over the world that stops to stare at the changing leaves. Good riding roads
Great motorcycle.
Someone who cares about value and reliability.
Someone who probably rebuilt it themselves.
Someone who doesnât need a Harley to fit in.
Would say I've restored it, but I've put alot of work in it. Bought it from an old guy, and I rode it anywhere between 40-200 miles a day. Depends on my schedule and how much gas I can put in the tank. Average is about 50-60 miles a day probably.
Good for you, I do a lot of riding both for leisure and purpose. Don't see many old bikes on the road, and if so, their age usually shows which isn't bad but you can just tell it's time for new things. Even seeing a rim in mint condition like yours would likely itch me to have a quick convo with you if we were in passing while parked.
As a fellow GL100 owner: A broke and/or cheap one.
Seriously though, I've got 2 of these in various states of naked. Killer bikes for, well, everything.
We have a winner. Lol. Yup. That's pretty much it. I do love about any goldwing though, for the functionality of it. I'd if you've seen them or not, but Google search the brand new ones.

Hell yeah dude, love me some GL1100's. What was the original color?
This one actually was born a vetter... someone started swapping the interstate body and brackets, I finished the swap... had to make the 2 front brackets for the fairing because they got lost somewhere. I've been wanting to make my own floorboards too, but haven't decided yet
That totally sucksđ”âđ«đ€ŻYou can check into local riders groups. The ones not populated by a specific brand that welcome everybody. Actually all brand specific groups will welcome every one except the HD crowd.
Don't listen to that old modular helmet jokes it's just stupid as I wear one and I have a 2024 ZX4RR and I old dude and grandpa, Now you ask what I think about your bike I'm not a big fan of all black not dark color this is just asking to get hit, Why I tell you this the bike becomes now you more invisible versus having bright colored bike because black cars and motorcycles blend in with black-top roads during the day same as night time with side mirrors and rearview mirrors.
Older white dude with a modular helmet
Whaaaat? How dare you.!!! Ive actually been considering buying a modular with bluetooth, i just cant brong myself to commit to it yet, if i knew i always had someone to ride with, absolutely... Is 37 considered old?
Ask your kids if you're old ....
That's well played sir
I ditched the radio system on my 1200 and put a cardo spirit in my helmet which connects to my garmin zumo GPS. Works really nice. Am also 37...
I'm getting lots of comments for the cardo. I'm just having a hard time accepting that I am, on fact, almost ready to be fitted for some new balance.
Same age and after stacking 500 hay bales yesterday my body says we're hella old. I'd just get a Sena or Cardo. It's nice to have music on the ride, be able to have a group chat or take a call (or willingly ignore it).
37 yo. Smart reliable purchase. Ready to enter the world of road stories and sport touring. Modular helmets are great. Have fun and stay safe.đ
Yeah, I've been riding for about 16 years total. This is probably my 6th bike. Last one was a vtx 1800. Absolutely loved it. Sold due to financial issues.
Have you sneezed hard enough to pop you back?
no.. But that motorcycle is considered for old guy..
Bluetooth is Nice tho. Music or audio books ftw. I have sena s50 conected to my phone. It makes the trips so much better. I am 35 and i drive a 98 triumph trophy 900
I have a 98' Triumph Thunderbird Sport. Rare.
37 on a gixxer is younger than 37 on a wing.
Is it though? Or would I just be the middle aged guy riding a crotch rocket?
What about 42 doing wheelies on an mt09?
Do it ya old fuck. (Jk) But seriously. Modulars are so convenient for day to day stuff. I have a cardo pack talk, that I can use with friends but 90% of the time it's just music for me on my way to/from work.Â

Lol. Dick. I see what you did there, but that's not close my friend. Always appreciate them tho
Just curious, what's the stereotype for people with modular helmets?
Old cruiser riders, or adventure bike riders wearing all neon visibility colors. Both look like absolute dorks, sorry
If youâre old af on a cruiser, youâre wearing a half helmet If youâre older on a cruiser, youâre wearing a modular If youâre an âold soulâ on a cruiser/cafe racer, youâre the type to wear a modular helmet and a flat cap
Modular helmets are awesome
Damn, I was thinking older black guy with a modular helmet
Close. Just white with no helmet tho
Thatâs awesome I thought the exact same thing word for word before opening the comments and seeing this đ
This is hilariously prejudicely correct
Thereâs nothing else to say. Old with modular helmet. This is the perfect description. I aspire to never, ever look like that.
đđđ the modular helmet got me đđđ

When I bought my Nightrod, the last owner installed a black out brake light. I don't even know how you do that with a straight face.
Brother
Youngish hipster
Excellent looking bike! For safety get some bright element in your dress.
Purple rain.

Someone who appreciates a well made bike over chrome and branding.
Brotheerrrrr
I like it. Would definitely ride it
First impression? A year rounder. Looks similar to a Concours which is an excellent cold weather bike.
Yessir. Year rounder. Unless there's snow or ice. I like the concours.
Our parts manager at work has one he rides about year round, though he rides a Ducati more in the summer. The Concours was/is a very reliable fun ride. Unfortunately that warmth in winter is heat in the summer đ„”. Nice ride man, stay safe and shiney side up .
does the exhaust burn the bag?
Nope, it actually sits about 1.5 inches under them, it's dual exhaust too, so one under each bag. A former cop who now likes to ride sedate.
Harley type, that likes long highway travels
Absolutely love long highway trips. Not a big harley fan or harley crowd fan

I put as many miles down as I can
I like that Windjammer style fairing. You should consider adding the matching trunk.
I see the cushion and the bike type and I'm thinking you're probably fat. No insult, I'm fat too. We look best on those kinds of bikes, and the cushion sure does make a long ride less of a pain in the ass \^\^
Im actually 6" 180 lbs. Relatively decent shape. The seat on the bike just sucks
Well, for what it's worth, that's a pretty cool way to mount the cushion.
Mostly dark green with a capital FÌŸ
Heterosexual Harley guy
Looks pretty cool to me.
The wayfarer dudes in GTA:SA
Excellent colour scheme!!! I really like it! Does the ABS work on the bike? I think these models had them already.
This one doesn't have abs yet. I think that started around 84? Couldn't swear by it.
Literally could not care any less
One going for a Mad Max remake casting (not the new ones). I know those were Kawis, but still.

Chips Noir!
You want to be badass but you're really just boring with all the black
A construction worker. Nothing against construction workers, but they all have the same bike.
I am a general contractor. Lol
Older white dude
MadMax, but recently wash
The kind who parks it outside and prolly has a messy porch, not that there's anything wrong with that...
I don't have a garage :(
I smell a hint of axe, stale beer and see "affliction" shirts vibes here.
Hahaha. Close. Except none of that. I hate affliction shirt guys.
I smell a hint of axe, stale beer and see "affliction" shirts vibes here.
You ride alone.
I do, sadly. Can't ever find anybody that wants to go.
You like matt black colored bikes.
Old dude who still rides or new guy that bought if off a guy that canât ride anymore
37, been riding about 15 years consistently. Did buy it off a guy that can't ride anymore though.
Dang half right
Nice job.
I love Goldwings, but I didnât even know they could look this cool. It looks as badass as a Harley but itâs actually a bike Iâd want lmao
It's a head Turner. Doesn't get chick's though, mostly other middle aged men
You purified yourself in the waters of Lake Minnetonka
I love gold wings. Part of what I love about gold wings are the absurd 70s van art color schemes and chrome and when old dudes go full dekotura with the accessory lights. It was a rough decision to do it, I scoured the internet finest websites and couldn't find another one like it, so I went for it.
Harley riders who never leave home without a harley shirt on
It's a honda. Lol. Always have a shirt on... mostly sleeveless though tbh
Long rides in the highway, mostly in a straight line. May or may not be blaring dirt metal on the stereo speakers
Fuck you dude. Nailed it.. not dort metal, mostly death metal / deathcorr... but my playlist will snap back to Britney in a heartbeat., or oldies.
Nothing to be ashamed of lol just the bike matches you lol
Weekend dad warrior, you probably wear keds lol sorry first impression of bike.
Keds. Lol. Weekend warrior maybe, this is my main transportation, errands, work, travel... unless weather is bad morning am taking the kids with me.
how much meth and guns you fit in those bags brutha
Not as much as you'd think.
Very cool looking bike. From the looks of it I'd guess you're a guy that rides a very cool looking bike. đÂ
Cool bike. Whatâs the price range of this bike? Iâm considering buying it as my first bike
Early 80s goldwings can be had for 1000.00-1500.00 in decent shape. The seat sucks in them, just an fyi... otherwise, comfortable and easy to work on
You have style and taste
Why thank you good sir
I bet you wear high vis gear when you're tooling around on that thing. And then you go to the mountains and embarrass people.
No his vis gear. Just jeans and cutoff t shirts. It handles mountains very well. Probably the most agile bike I've ever owned
Cool bike! Unique these days. I'd guess youre just a cruiser, taking it easy and putting lots of miles in on the weekends. And Alt ADV Dad. def cooler :)
I strive for unique. I take it easy, but inalso ride pretty hard. Hard to find people to line up with me though
Cool dad who rides and knows his way around a smoker.
Haha. Yes. I'm familiar with the dark arts of brisket and sirloin
I swear that's the same GW I saw for sale around me. I was thinking about getting it
You live near southeast kansas/sw mo?
No, I'm in New England and the bike was down around Delaware I think but it looks EXACTLY the same
Riding through this world, all alone
Youâre not a biker, youâre a motorcyclist.
What makes a biker a biker and a motorcyclist a motorcyclist to you?

I'm 37 and dead broke. I am certainly a lesser citizen
Probably an alien trying to fit in as a suburban male.
A touring guy that visits the blue ridge parkway with his wife
Never been. Also, just got rid of the wife. More time to ride now..maybe I'll visit blue ridge parkway
Oh you definitely should. Avoid mid fall as itâs too congested with cars from all over the world that stops to stare at the changing leaves. Good riding roads
love the dark matte color on that bike, its honestly amazing
Great motorcycle. Someone who cares about value and reliability. Someone who probably rebuilt it themselves. Someone who doesnât need a Harley to fit in.
Vintage cruiser; either you just restored this, received it as a hand me down, or barely rode the thing.
Would say I've restored it, but I've put alot of work in it. Bought it from an old guy, and I rode it anywhere between 40-200 miles a day. Depends on my schedule and how much gas I can put in the tank. Average is about 50-60 miles a day probably.

6â4, big beard, beer gut, 2 kids?
6'0". Short beard, well now just a goatee and poor mustache, no beer gut, I'm in decent shape, 2 kids.
One that probably has matching outfits with the wife
Ha. I just cut the cord with my wife, but we never matched anyways.

I'm probably both

I'm in fairly decent shape, hairline is starting too recede, but still there
Long distance rider.
Vintage Goldwing w a rattle can paint job on a gravel drive way? I'm gonna call wallet chain, no helmet and a very "no sleeves" kind of outfit.
No Wallat chain... avoid my helmet when I can. No sleeves is correct.
2/3 ain't bad. I also may be projecting a little.
Bad ass Golding. Enjoy your ride and be safe

25-35 years old, rides it like a piss middle splitting and flying through traffic
37. Try to ride responsibly, thought probably a bit fast on interstates.. I don't lane split, ever.
A practical one
You *want* to be very cool.
I am cool. My mom says so So does yours
Parked on gravel? Clearly a dual sport rider.
I'd consider a dual sport honestly. But I'm just a broke white guy with an old goldwing
