Paint setups cost money. Vehicle manufacturers have cut those costs because they won't spend more than the bare minimum and they know in the end everyone will settle for whatever they offer.

Zeace

Yeah it unfortunately. I just remember the mid 2000s with great options. I guess everyone wraps their bikes these days

flicman

Another cost passed on to the customer.

Cfwydirk

There is a lack of low cost options. You can always have your tank and fenders painted. https://tcpglobal.com/pages/brand-house-of-kolor?gad_source=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIqam6q4eBhwMVuUL_AR3uEAjlEAAYAiAAEgJBbPD_BwE

LuckyDuck906

Not “these days.” There have always been just two or three color choices per model and only one on special editions.

Zeace

Havnt bought a bike since mid 2000s. The cbrs had 3 or so colors.

LuckyDuck906

Yep, pretty much what I said. Looking at Hondas from the 70’s will show two or three colors available per bike also.

Zeace

Better than a single color and maybe a special edition. Man I miss the old cars. Red and black, black and black, white and silver, blue and silver. Had the red and bike myself.

LuckyDuck906

You might want to teach yourself how to do a wrap. Vinyl companies often have reliable teaching videos (vvivid for instance).

Zeace

I was looking into that probably better than $1k for a garage to do it for me.

LuckyDuck906

I think the difficulty depends on the bike. Maybe use two tone to disguise where the wrap needs to be in two pieces to get around a contour. Have fun with it and make something truly your own.

Zeace

Yeah i was look at videos last week and it seems fun

StockReaction985

Bike go vroom. That’s all I care about. The wind has no color..

Zeace

If the wind has color something went wrong.

CocktailPerson

Don't ride on shrooms.

hockeymisfit

Man, I would have loved the KRT or SE trim of my bike but those graphics are just awful. I get that green is Kawasakis thing, but damn is it overdone. Absolutely loving the non gloss "whitish" that my 500 ABS came in though.

Zeace

I really love the 2023 1000sx dark metallic green. So sick

hockeymisfit

That color does look killer! I think I saw a dark green 1000sx with the side/top cases in Amsterdam recently and it really caught my eye.

Zeace

I love it but it's only last years which are hard to find now.

hockeymisfit

Ahhh, that's a shame. I'll definitely have to keep an eye out for one to try on riders-share.

Zeace

That's were I first rode the 1000sx. 2019 while in Utah and it was an amazing bike.

Scarlet_Lycoris

I hear you. Had the same issue with all the bikes I liked. Sucks, but I guess you either need to go with something you like “fine” or customise yourself. Customising bikes is fun though. Vinyls are also not as expensive as paint jobs and offer the possibility to kinda frequently change them. Also my husband runs a 2023 1000sx in green and it looks amazing!

Zeace

That's my favorite color of the 1000sx. It's so nice

younghorse

Lack of colors of bikes pisses you off? You are free to make it whatever color you want.

Zeace

I just like options you know?
