Guillermo del Toro's At the Mountains of Madness.

Rosebunse

Now, now, we have been over this! His At the Mountains of Madness is too perfect of a film to exist. Its existence would trigger the end of the world as we know it. And there are rumors we're finally going to get PT

T1tanT3m

Wait are there actually rumors for PT? This would be awesome if true ngl

Rosebunse

I mean, there have been rumors for years but these ones seem a bit more credible. I don't know if it's full on PT because of rights but it's probably the closest we will ever get

azsnaz

What is PT

DrBeakerMD

PT (Playable Teaser) was a ps4 demo for the Silent Hill game that would have been. Silent Hills was in development under Hideo Kojima and with Guillermo Del Toro. Norman Reedus was cast in it too. It got cancelled by Konami when they decided to shift their company focus (mobile platform and I remember something about pachinko machines?) Subsequently, the PT demo was erased. But it was one hell of an experience.

Oukasagetsu

Don't forget horror manga artist Junji Ito was set to join the team too! Would have been an allstar team

aseb_web456

His Hobbit movie too!

mikeweasy

His third Hellboy movie as well

slightofhand1

His Bioshock movie, too.

Wait what !

Ozzel

*King Conan* Arnold is 76. He’s not going to be with us forever. He wants to do it. We want to see it. Let’s make it happen.

Mystiquesword

Fk he is 76 already! Wow!

blackadder1620

i know. its going to be a sad day. man isn't without faults, but he has done a ton of good too.

ILearnAlotFromReddit

>its going to be a sad day. I think about this too. Me being a kid of the late 80s and early 90s, he is genuinely a childhood hero of nine.

SilconAnthems

As a fellow 80's baby, I've recently realised that that is our lives now. We're at the age when everyone we looked up to will start to die one at a time, forever, until we die ourselves.

JanuaryChili

It's sad to think about that as early as 2030 - only 6 years from now - a lot of famous people we know and love might be gone. Morgan Freeman, Jack Nicholson, Michael Caine, Michael Douglas, Danny Devito, Tom Selleck, Steve Martin, Chevy Chase, Kurtwood Smith, Ernie Hudson, Tim Curry, Ed O'Neill, Cher, Sylvester Stallone, and so on... And that's not even including the famous people from younger generations whose deaths we *won't* see coming. In short, the worst case scenario Hollywood would have lost *a lot* of famous people by 2030. 😱😭

mostlyfire

God dammit why’d you have to throw in Danny Devito in there for? Now my days ruined

blackadder1620

same, 1988 here. robin williams was soul crushing. from childhood movies to rated hard R stand up. he earned his place in my heart and i'd have to say made me good part of how i see myself today. i love to make people laugh and he was a huge influence on that.

BlackIsTheSoul

Man, don't remind me. For a lot of us 80s/90s kids, Arnold was *the man*.

SuperRonnie2

Met him once. Completely randomly. He told me a dad joke.

Hertje73

Paul Verhoeven is ready and willing

Dear-Unit1666

I just watched the original the other day and thought it would be awesome. They hint at it really hard. I wonder how that would age too...will not be the same lol

Studio_Ambitious

Rendezvous With Rama

wpnw

I really wanted Fincher's version of this to happen all those years ago, but now that Villeneuve is taking the reins, it's probably in the most capable hands possible.

TheTrueVanWilder

I hope Morgan Freeman gets a role.  He's been championing this to be a film for literally decades now

krakenvictim

Denis Villaneuve is making it…

joshatron

We’re Wolves. Sequel to What we do in the Shadows. Probably been scrapped due to the success of the TV show

Truecoat

We’re werewolves not swearwolves.

bangermate

"We're meeting a pedophile." "Cool."

Worldly_Science239

Wasn't it supposed to be called something like "We're wolves, were wolves, Where wolves". or something similar at one point

[deleted]

A Confederancy of Dunces has been rumored for like 20 years and we need it now more than ever.

NextofKin

First time I read it, I had Phillip Seymour Hoffman as Ignacius. 😩

RemarkableSight

I had Stephen Root back in the day as my choice.

KindergartenBullshit

Yes that would have been amazing. I heard Nick Offerman played Ignatius in the before times for a short run in Boston. Would have loved to see that.

EatsLocals

Even before this, John Candy was in talks to make it in the 90s

Wishart2016

Chris Farley as well

williamblair

John Belushi i believe was the very first. One of the reasons it's considered "cursed" you have 3 incredible larger leading men who all died too young and were all attached to this film. Last one I heard was Zach Galifianakis and I dont wanna see him die but GOD DAMN do I think he would be perfect for this. He can really nail that belligerent, ungrateful son note that is necessary for Ignatius.

Lingering_Dorkness

It's cursed which is why no studio wants to make it.

aCorgiDriver

Jesse Plemons would actually be a great Ignatius J.

crudedrawer

Paul Walter Hauser or bust.

MailByAir

Constantine 2

WonDerHorSe233

Dude, Keanu is so fxxking awesome playing that character, he is the Constantine in my mind. I am not sure, but I remember WB Bros said they will make the sequel? Anyway, I will keep waiting for it.

Real_Line_8074

I'd love to see a sequel to Tintin

[deleted]

corpulentFornicator

Tbf They Shall Not Grow Old was stellar

British_Commie

Honestly, I’ve really been enjoying his foray into documentaries. They Shall Not Grow Old was fantastic and his work on Beatles stuff has been outstanding.

Bugsmoke

Apparently that song that the Beatles recently released was only possible because if some software Jackson had had developed for his Beatles doc

BigBoy1966

i was thinking about this recently, the first one was amazing

PatsysStone

It really was! I'd love to see another Tintin movie. That scene in the desert when the ship appears and the sand turns into water is just perfect. One of my favourite scenes ever in any movie.

LordSlasher

One of the only Movie series i want a sequel to. The first movie is fucking perfect. Watch it every year on my birthday.

apostleofhustle

if they include the god damn theme https://youtu.be/2cHiUUCFjZQ?si=q58GSDtHq36FYGuT

Bookssmellneat

28 Months Later

livestrongbelwas

We’re jumping straight to 28 years later. Have enough time to come out in 2030

FckinKnoItsBeenStoln

Why not do both?

livestrongbelwas

I feel you. I’ll watch anything Boyle or Garland does, if they do something together, I’ll pay a babysitter and see it on opening night.

bonrmagic

They just announced 28 Years Later.

starshame2

The wheels are already in motion. Danny Boyle and Alex Garland are in development mode on it.

Misterfahrenheit120

I always thought the challenge in writing this story is that given the mechanics of the rage virus, how do you tell this story without retreading old ground? The virus is like a wildfire. It hits you’re shores, and everyone is totally fucked. But it burns itself out within a few months. Meaning if we do months later (~ 2 years) it’ll either be well after the zombies are gone, and then won’t really be a zombie movie, or it can have the outbreak resurge, but that would just be “weeks” do all over again. I personally have a theory that Garland’s “Civil War” is a secret sequel, one that embraces the years later thing, and rather than focusing on zombies, it focuses on the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse that hit most of the world

Dynetor

they have announced that they’re working on a new movie called 28 years later

[deleted]

District 10...come on man we had a great setup. It actually hurts me to think about it. Will Wikus ever become human again?

HorribleDiarrhea

I've thought about what I'd want in a District 10 but can't think of where they'd go with the story while keeping the themes and tone the same. Part of the fun of District 9 was learning about the world and the prawns and their tech. There was also the apartheid allegory. Now that you have used those, what do you do?

warzone_afro

They could show prawns at their full strength. All we've seen is them in poverty

[deleted]

Well, they implied that the prawns had to fight a greater enemy and then they would return to save Wikus in 3 years. For sure it would not be an easy task to write, but I want to see it so bad.

Crunchy_Biscuit

Considering Niel (Blomcamp?) dwindling ratings, my money isn't on it being good

shogi_x

You either: Have the prawn return in force, flip the power dynamic, and explore the ethics/politics/dangers of the oppressed becoming oppressors. We get to learn about actual prawn society, not uneducated refugees. Or Introduce a third party which forces the prawns and humans to work together. We get to learn more about prawns and a new entity too. First one is more interesting I think, but the second is a tried and true formula that opens the door to more stories.

funmasterjerky

It's been so long since the first movie, I'll have to learn all about that world again anyways.

QouthTheCorvus

I agree here. It's hard to make the sequel feel as meaningful as the original.

baconbananapancakes

I wish I could believe in Blomkamp sticking the landing on this one. D9 is so outstanding compared to his other, larger budget films.

ohhgreatheavens

He hit it out of the park the first try. I just wish he could’ve lived up to the expectations. I still hold out hope he could make a good Alien movie but with Alien: Romulus coming out this year it’ll be a while, if ever.

rmac1228

I'm still waiting for his take on Halo...his short promotional ads for Halo 3 I believe it was were awesome.

ThrowawayusGenerica

You'll get Chappie and like it.

illegal_deagle

He’s Jake Sully now… he won’t come back.

sooper_dooperest

This. 100% 🙌🏼

jpplastering1987

Nah he's a prawn now forever men.

Chewy79

I'm waiting for the Henry Cavil Highlander reboot!

Logical_Narwhal_9911

I know it’s a series but I wish they’d redo The Witcher and let Cavill have significant influence over the direction for the show.

SomeKindOfChief

And put it on HBO

heyboman

I don't think they are allowed to do a reboot of Highlander. I've heard there can be only one.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Onequestion0110

I want this too, but I’m not going to believe it until they start filming. It’s been like 20 years, and as great as it is to have Cavil and Stahelski attached, they’re not the first. There’s been a ton of writers and directors, and even several stars to play McCleod. I mean, Ryan Reynolds was attached for a while, and imagine that movie for a second.

hispeedenergydrink

Tron 3 Flynn Lives 🥲 I sometimes dream that Daft Punk gets back together just for the soundtrack 😭

ChrAshpo10

The fact that Leto is pegged for this movie and Daft Punk is apart just makes me hope they don't even do it

smithsp86

Even if Daft Punk were still together they wouldn't go near Tron 3 after the way they were treated on Tron 2.

yippy-ki-yay-m-f

What happened?

smithsp86

Disney had some of the soundrack album remixed without Daft Punk's consent and they were generally unhappy with the experience.

kermi42

Margot Robbie wants to make a Tank Girl movie. I love the original with Lori Petty, but I think the brand deserves recognition. Apparently Robbie wants to take a step back from playing lead roles for a bit after Barbie and that’s fine. I think she’d be a good Tank Girl, but I don’t need her in the role. As long as someone makes it at some point. Heck I’m so hard up for a Tank Girl reboot I’d probably even watch Zack Snyder’s take on it.

slightofhand1

You don't think it'd be too similar to Harley Quinn if she played it?

kermi42

I think she could play the role differently enough to be distinct but I think people will always draw comparisons because the characters aren’t that dissimilar. They are basically chaotic, violent, and unhinged - if anything Lori Perry’s version of the character is extremely cleaned up. Arguably it’s the modern version of Quinn that’s evolved to become more like Tank Girl, though, compared to what Harley was like to begin with.

Benderbluss

Right? Too cool of an aesthetic not to have more of it. I mean, we have Gorrilaz and all, but it's not quite the same.

spiderglide

But is the world ready for an Australian skinhead woman rooting kangaroos?

duuudewhat

Please make a Dredd 2

whatWHYok

Remember the redditor who wrote about a modern Marine unit who gets sent back in time to Ancient Rome and has to fight armies of the Roman Empire? That was optioned as a screenplay over a decade ago and nothing’s ever become of it.

Desertbro

Yeah, what's squad going to do against a Roman Legion in the freakin' hills of Italy when they run out of bullets in 10 minutes? We saw this already in **Dial of Destiny** (2022) and **The Final Countdown** (1980) and basically they would just go back into the time warp.

Holl4backPostr

IDK I'm pretty sure when Roman heads start exploding in the first ten seconds of their mighty charge, the Legion might just break.

abnormalbrain

As a wise man once said, 'This is my BOOM STICK!'

LoaKonran

It was shelved when the studio realised they’d have to credit (and potentially pay) all the people involved in its creation. All the brainstorming and contributions from everyone on the thread made the copyright situation too thorny for them to bother. Shame, it sounded awesome.

maxx159

Watch the anime Gate if you want a taste of that

lancea_longini

I still think it should be Nic Cage stealing the American Flag from the moon because Neil Armstrong left a secret message for future Americans to find only after decades of exposure to solar radiation.

cjmaguire17

When does this come out because I’m already standing in line for tickets

Desertbro

Yes, Martha's pie recipe has the secret to cold fusion. All they have to do is dig under every colonial hospital and graveyard in Virginia to find the **Pie of Deuterium**.

flowerofhighrank

Snowcrash. It'd have to be a mini-series, but it could be so good!

96Retribution

Or so bad. Neal’s dense background writing would have to be cut but important exposition done anyway. However there could be so many iconic scenes. Pizza delivery, Reason, and more. I fear they will muck up the casting of Y.T and Raven and skip a umm, certain encounter.

NextofKin

Any Neal Stephenson adapted for long format

dehehn

Diamond Age has been in talks too. I believe George Clooney was trying to make it happen but it is in development hell. It was also SyFy at the time and I'd really rather see Max, Prime or Netflix do a limited series.   I agree tho, any Stephenson would be great. But I do really love Snow Crash and Diamond Age.

getridofwires

Spawn

beachfrontprod

At one point there was some talks about having a 21 Jump Street/Men in Black crossover. I feel like that would have been great for both franchises.

warbastard

Dredd sequel and a BioShock or Half Life film.

DullBicycle7200

Netflix is working on a BioShock film.

Toby_O_Notoby

The Long Walk. If all the Stephen King properties I just can’t under how no one has made this one. I mean it comes with its own elevator pitch in the first five pages: In a dystopian America 100 boys volunteer for a race called the Long Walk. Rules of the race are that you have to go faster than 4mph. If you dip under you get a warning. Get three warnings and you’re shot dead. Winner is the last one alive and he gets to do whatever he wants for the rest of his life.

slightofhand1

Probably needed to distance itself from Hunger Games, Maze Runner, and all the other post-apocalyptic teen YA.

Toby_O_Notoby

Yeah but it was first released in 1979 and later as a King novel in 1985 (long story but look up "Richard Bachman"). So you would think in the '80s when we have both The Shining and Stand By Me on the upside and Children of the Corn IV or whatever on the downside that someone would have made it then. Or you would think that when all those post-apocalyptic teen YA movies came out someone like Blumhouse would have made it to sell to a streaming service. I mean, I know I said 100 kids but only about a dozen of them are speaking parts and only about 6 of them need actual actors. I mean it would cost $10m, tops. And when you [look at the list of Stephen King adaptations](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_adaptations_of_works_by_Stephen_King) it's bizarre that this is the one that didn't get made.

CaptainDacRogers

Hellboy 3 with Del Toro and Perlman.

lWishItWastheWeekend

Blood Meridian. It will most likely be a spectacular failure, but just the thought of seeing Hollywood attempt to adapt this to the big screen is incredibly ambitious.

RobertHarmon

It’s in pre-production at New Regency with John Hillcoat to direct. There’s been a million false starts on that film, so we’ll see if this time it really happens.

Scapular_of_ears

Hollywood should leave it alone imo

Raul_Rink

I went into the Blood Meridian rabbit hole yesterday, and I will be the first in line when/if it comes out.  Hopefully they're willing to have an NC-17 rating without just making it torture porn.

ey3s0re_christ

That H.H. Holmes project was recently shelved at Hulu. I've said it before on here, it will be extremely hard to be successful when people think they're just getting another serial killer biopic or torture porn. The book is only about 20-30% Holmes crimes, majority of the rest is about the planning and architecture of the fair. Also, the author of the book took a ton of liberties with his account of Holmes, having dialog and scenarios that NO ONE could know about aside from Holmes and the victim. Shortly after Avatar came out, it was announced Ron Howard was attached to adapt Legends: The Enchanted as a movie. During a red carpet interview, Howard said he planned the VFX and tech to rival Avatar's, but this was the last thing that was ever heard about it, seems to have fallen deep into a void. I would've loved to seen what could've been. Also would've loved Fincher to finish his US version of the Dragon Tattoo movies. Rooney Mara still seems bummed when she gets asked about it.

z4r4thustr4

It's the kind of thing HBO has done well in the True Detective vein, where the locale is a character and they get license to meander a bit.

Rosebunse

The problem with the HH Holmes thing is that while interests has increased around the murders, so too has the criticism surrounding it. We know Holmes was an evil person and he most certainly killed people, but the real number was much lower and his methods were much less elaborate

EndOfTheLine00

Not to mention a big part of the mystique around Holmes was his "murder castle" full of death traps and secret passages. Modern research shows there is zero evidence the castle had any traps at all and the secret passages were to hide stolen building materials. Holmes was definitely a monster who provably killed 10 people but even those has specific motives (mostly financial). He was more akin to a con man who also killed people.

Lingering_Dorkness

_Buttonman_. This was originally a series in the comic 2000AD, written by Dredd writer John Wagner and beautifully illustrated by Arthur Ranson. It follows an ex-soldier, Harry Exton. Harry is recruited to be a "buttonman". These hunt each other through the streets of London for the amusement of bored rich people (called "Voices" as they are never seen, only heard over the phone) who bet on the outcome. Loser has a finger cut off. After 3 losses, they're executed.   Harry is excellent in the game, never losing. But decides he wants out, so hunts down & kills the Voice who hired Harry.  In the follow-up series, the other Voices send their buttonmen after Harry for having killed one of their own. Cue loads of violence. It was originally picked up by DreamWorks almost 20 years ago. DW had picked up and made "A History of Violence" – another graphic novel written by John Wagner. This had done reasonably well (Box Office was double the production costs, so it at least broke even). It was nominated for a couple of Oscars and is viewed very favourably by critics.  However after over a decade of sitting on the rights for BM, DW gave up even pretending they were serious about turning it into a movie. Netflix then bought the rights and in 2019 announced they had hired Brian Helgeland (LA Confidential and Mystic River) to direct. Sadly by 2021 it had been shelved yet again. Seems we will never see this made into a movie. It's perfect for the screen, basically John Wick albeit it was written well before JW. Another is Dredd. Rumours occasionally surface about a sequel, or a TV series. But nothing ever happens. Now 12 years later we have to accept nothing ever will.

Silencer87

Honestly, it would be a dream come true if Dredd 2 was made with Karl Urban and the director from the first one.  Such an awesome, but simple action movie.  No convoluted plot which is common these days.   Never heard of Buttonman. I'll have to look into it.

x_lincoln_x

[Judge Dredd: Mega City One](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6873692/) series was planned but must have died a silent death.

SharksFan4Lifee

**Olympic Sized A-Holes** Aziz Ansari and Danny McBride live in their hometown, which is also the hometown of a Michael Phelps type Olympic hero. The Phelps character comes back after winning the gold and has a threesome with the girlfriends of Ansari and McBride. Ansari and McBride find out and seek revenge against the hometown hero, who everyone thinks is a saint. I still want this movie! Maybe get younger leads, but it's a great concept for a good raunchy R rated comedy!

Upbeat_Tension_8077

Edge of Tomorrow 2 please. Hopefully with Tom Cruise's new deal with WB, it can happen

JesusVonChrist

I'm torn about this one. The first one had a perfect ending, I don't want them to destroy it.

Saw this for the first time over Christmas and it was awesome..

Is the Neuromancer show still happening? I heard Apple TV is making it, but last update was from several years ago.

The concept Tarantino had in mind was that Nikki would grow up and seek revenge against The Bride for killing her mom (Copperhead)

BoJackB26354

Elle had the ? about her fate, so her blind bony ass could be a guide to Nikki.

Bloody_Hangnail

I can see an homage to Kareem Abdul Jabbar’s character in Game of Death.

DiaDeLosMuebles

Shane Black’s Remo Williams reboot.

Elyx117

quite a few. definitely Master and Commander, but it wasn't even in a development hell... just not happening at all T_T Weir... come back.... 28 Months Later (or whatever they wanna call it), hopefully with Boyle back at the helm.

_SCHULTZY_

A full feature Gambit movie.  The closest we got showed the true potential for the character but getting a proper movie has been long overdue  https://youtu.be/NegUHlzn_qs?si=TrcXUyYCT-HPeqQf

slightofhand1

It's weird because growing up in the 90's with the cartoon, everyone's favorite X Man was Gambit.

mstrgrieves

A confederacy of dunces with Belushi as Ignatius. Or Chris Farley as Ignatius. Or John Candy as Ignatius. Or Will Ferrell as Ignatius. Or Jon Goodman as Ignatius. Or Jack Black as Ignatius. Or Zach Galifinakis as Ignatius. Or the Coen Brothers doing the Yiddish Policeman's Union.

Logical_Narwhal_9911

Man, John Candy would’ve been great in that role. Or Paul Giamatti. His role in American Splendor has some Ignatius vibes.

crudedrawer

Paul Walter Hauser.

horsenbuggy

The Uglies. It's not really stuck, it's dead. If I were doing this trilogy, I would cast completely different actors for the first movie and the subsequent movies. The plot of their dystopian future is that kids from 12-15 go thru their "ugly" phase. When they turn 16, they are allowed to get all the cosmetic procedures they want to make them "pretty." They get taller and virtually become unrecognizable to what they were before. They can also get some tech things installed to make life easier or more interesting. In order for it to really work, it can't be just a make-over or glow up. It needs to be, like, going from Mae Whitman to Blake Lively and believe it's the same character.

baconbananapancakes

The concept is just so wildly degrading to the actors that it seems like they’d have to mo-cap and CG the cast to be “ugly” for the entire first film…

Rosebunse

I have heard that the books are pretty good but I just can't see this working as a film or television series.

Mystiquesword

Still waiting for the next star trek movie in the kelvin au timeline with pine/quinto💜/urban. Still waiting for sherlock 3 with downey jr/law. Still waiting for sherlock bbc season 5 with cumberbatch/freeman. Trek & sherlock movie have apparently both been “confirmed” last year…… Sherlock bbc season 5 though will never happen unless cumberbatch & freeman get the fk over themselves already (apparently they hate each other……).

nameyourpoison11

Nah that was just a tabloid rumour because they were never seen together socialising off set. The poor guys spent up to 14 hours a day together at work, is it really so surprising that they wanted to be with their own families during their limited down time? I mean, who wants to spend their free time with their workmates? Cumberbatch actually addressed the rumour in an interview and said he and Martin Freeman get along fine, it's just that he likes going home to his own wife and kids after the director calls 'cut,' and so does Freeman. Can't say I blame them, really.

Muse_e_um

Neill Blomkamp's Halo or District 10 would be up there.

BlackIsTheSoul

Give me Old Man Conan the Barbarian

Ooshbala

I was an extra in a James Franco movie that was filmed in 2015. Seemed like it was going to be awful but I still want it to come out, if only to see myself in the background lol

fcalda

A Gentleman in Moscow. Years ago it was going to be a movie starring Kenneth Branagh but I see now it’s going to be a limited series with Ewan McGregor.

buttseason

“Ricky Stanicky” has been a movie in development for what I feel like has been 10 or 15 years. Jim Carrey, Owen Wilson, James Franco, and John C. Reilly are some of the names previously linked to it. Plot sounds hilarious: *Ricky Stanicky is the name of an imaginary character invented by three longtime friends, as someone to blame for their misbehavior over the past two decades. When their partners become suspicious and demand to meet Stanicky, they decide to hire a washed-up actor to bring the character to life.* Also, after Team America, Trey Parker and Matt Stone were shopping a script that was a high school/teen movie. They were going to cast themselves in starring roles as teenagers in the movie. I think Book Of Mormon derailed this, but it would have been great.

bigpig1054

Kubrick's Napoleon will never happen but that will always be my "what if" movie

A proper green lantern.

DarkEater77

Wow, i have 3. Hellboy 3 with Ron Perlman Sherlock Holmes 3 with Downey Jr and Jude Law. Edge of Tomorrow 2.

prosperosniece

Crazy Rich Asians 2 and 3. Considering the books are a trilogy, they should have had the second script ready to go.

Budzee

Someone is bound to finish the Fatty Arbuckle biopic. Between John Belushi, John Candy and Chris Farley dying before production can begin, the project has been cursed for decades. [His tragic life deserves to be shown on the silver screen.](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roscoe_Arbuckle)

They can't make a Catcher in the Rye movie because Salinger refused to sign over the movie rights during his lifetime and neither is his estate. I'm actually glad about this because I think Rye should stay as a book. The story prose works much better in prose form. Not every book should be a movie.

Star Trek IV, unnamed. Whatever movie comes after *Beyond* Chris Pine had a clause in his contract to pay him significantly less money for the fourth movie if *Into Darkness* didn’t make a certain amount of money. Paramount said Pine would make less money next time. Pine’s agents said it was absurd, Paramount couldn’t just replace Kirk, they *needed* Pine. Stuck.

A tron sequel. I think Jared Leto was suppose to be in it but it’s been 12 years now so idk what’s going on.

I recall James Gunn wrote a script for a Spy vs. Spy movie. I could see it working in the right hands. Some of the set pieces in the first Despicable Me had the same vibe.

Tommy_the_Pommy

Neill Blomkamps Aliens sequel would have been amazing I reckon. Instead we got a couple of very poor Ridley Scott movies that honestly don't need to exist.

Police Academy 8. But I'm starting to lose hope.

The Last Unicorn

The Collected, the last movie in The Collector trilogy. Last Friday The Chuck movie because the whole "Sarah losing her memories" thing was bullshit. If James Roday can crank out 4 Psych movies, I'm sure the powers that be can pull together a decent enough script for a proper ending. All that comes to me off the top of my head

Ridley Scott keeps kicking around Forever War and damn that is a film he could nail.

*Sgt Rock* has had project and screenplay rumors since the 70s my fave comic as a kid

Devil in the White City (aka the HH Holmes book/project you mentioned) was actually set to be adapted into a mini series directed by Scorsese but it got canned. I was telling everyone who saw me reading the book about the upcoming show and was devastated when I heard the news. It would have been epic. I found the World's Fair stuff in the book even more interesting than the H.H. Holmes stuff.
