Careful. If I’m gonna watch return of the king I’m gonna have to watch the other two first, and if I’m gonna watch all three I’m gonna have to watch the extended editions, and if I’m gonna watch all the extended editions I might as well do a marathon. Next thing you know I’m spending the entire day binging the Lotr movies
Hold your ground, hold your ground!
Sons of Reddit, of Fark, my brothers! I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me! A day may come when then courage of shitposters fails. When we forsake our karna and break all bonds of memes, but it is not this day.
An hour of mods and broken links, when the age of men becomes downvoted!
But it is not this day!
This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on your alt accounts, I bid you stand, Men of the Internet!
Blast From the Past is one of my favorite movies. When he is in the car and listening to jazz music “Wait for it. Here is where it really takes off.” *music pauses and barely ups tempo*
>It's a bad movie
You shut your hooker mouth, this movie is pure fun from start to finish with exciting action, fun humor, and an edge of your seat climax
Nah. It's just the live action Lego Movie with a little Wreck it Ralph franchise sprinkled in. They almost added too much Ready Player One to the recipe and messed it up. Great fun stuff.
Walter Mitty was my first thought at this question, there's just something about that movie that just makes me feel happy. I know it's not a perfect movie, but it's my go to feel good movie.
The Way Way Back is a good one. There are some depressing parts to it, but to me does have a feel good ending along with other feel good scenes. I would say it’s a coming of age kind of movie as well
It is 95% of a good movie. The scene where a couple men perv at underage girls in bathing suits at the top of the waterslide is just creepy and offensive.
Shawshank Redemption - not a feel-good movie but one of the best feel-good endings of all time.
The Princess Bride - ticks all the boxes. One of the best.
When Harry Met Sally - one of the wittiest scripts ever, with a proper ending with all the feels.
[Ferris Bueller's Day Off](https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/ferris_buellers_day_off). If it's not on any of your streaming services, my little sister and I could swing by to recite it from memory.
Ponyo is my mood booster. The animation is incredible.
Same thing with Spirited Away, or other Miyazaki (except The Wind Rises, which is pretty sad)
The Shape Of Water Always makes me feel good.
I love this movie, and I'm happy for Phil that everything turns out well – and yet I still find it kind of sad that the time loop, which you've already gotten used to, suddenly ends. Maybe it's just me.
The Last Starfighter. One of the first movies to use computer graphics in the 80s. Considering its about a man who plays a computer game, I think it still fits. The movie has a lot of heart. The computer game turns out to be a test for star fighters, and a music man of sorts comes to pay a visit.
I just watched one last night called Finding Forrester. It's star is Sir Sean Connery and is directed by the same person that directed Good Will Hunting. I found it on Peacock, and it is an amazing and underrated movie.
Strictly Ballroom!
The first of Baz Lurhmann's 'red curtain' trilogy. Based on a stage play. Fun, super campy, gorgeous costumes, great music.
A life lived in fear is a life half lived.
Star Wars - A New Hope
Field of Dreams
Shawshank Redemption (you go through hell to get there, but it's worth it)
Dirty Dancing (F that awful Robbie)
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade ("Got lost in his own museum?")
The Color Purple (another one where you go through hell, but there's love, joy, and redemption at the end)
Rocky >!Rocky actually wins. He went the distance, got a split decision, and most importantly, he and Adrian found love and acceptance in each other.!< It's definitely in my top 3 movie endings.
True Stories (1986)
Whether you are a fan or not, this quirky Talking Heads movie will put a smile on your face. Appearances from John Goodman, Pops Stapleton, and Los Lobos, and of course, David Byrne, who guides you through a day in a small town in Texas.
Watched The Greatest Showman for the first time a few days ago and the music actually slaps. I know it’s not at all a real reflection of what PT Barnum was like etc but it’s a decent and pretty fun film and will leave you a bit more chipper (and the music permanently stuck in your head)
Castaway can definitely be an emotional roller coaster but I liked the way it ended. It was on a positive note, and somewhat open ended with a few possibilities for the guy.
Independence Day, I think it's in the same mood as Temple of Dooms ending with the cheering and hugging and epic music, plus fireworks, really feel good, I love it.
Truman show is very nice
Also for as dark as the DC Snyder movies are thought as, Zack Snyders Justice League has a pretty sweet ending (ignoring the Knightmare stuff), especially the addition of the “for autumn” at the end
Bubba Ho Tep is my favorite secretly feel-good movie. Others might disagree since it certainly doesn't have an "and they all lived happily ever after" sort of ending, but in my opinion the price that is paid for victory make the feels all the sweeter.
Unconventional pick, but *Salmon Fishing in the Yemen*. Everything that can possibly go wrong does, but you come go realize that it's more about the journey than the destination. The quest for success can be just as satisfying as the result.
I watched “Next Goal Wins” last night, the movie not the doc. It is super cheesy (very purposefully) but hilarious. I laugh-cried 10 mins in from the perfect joke. Massive recommendation; I’m watching it again soon!
Bunraku (2010) - In a future society where guns are illegal, a fist-fighter (Josh Hartnett) and a swordsman (Gackt) pummel and slash their way through a reclusive leader's (Ron Perlman) army of thugs.
Speed Racer movie. Feels me with pure joy cause it so ridiculous and just carries that anime/Saturday morning cartoon vibe into a live action movie. And the pretty colors are great.
These might seem out of pocket but my faves! Highly Recommended.
Office Space- My #1 favorite!
Thor-Ragnarok- Just such a fun movie
Super Troopers- Must watch
Galaxy Quest- Hilarious and fun
Whale Rider
A lot of drama to get there but the end might make you cry happy tears.
The lead was nominated for Best Actress for the 2003 Academy Awards.
“Dirty Rotten Scoundrels”. Very funny and lighthearted. There’s nothing sad or depressing about it. The scenery/backdrop is pleasant, it’s just like a vacation for me.
Lord of the Rings- Return of the King
I’m still not seeing the problem here
So you won’t just have a feel-good movie ending, but also a feel-good day ending. 😅
And there's like five of them! All joking aside, 100% agreed!
10 Things I Hate About You The Mighty Ducks Lion Field of Dreams
Oh man, Lion. That one drags you so far down by the end you’ve experienced every emotion.
Free Guy Back to the Future Blast from the past Hot Fuzz
Blast From the Past is one of my favorite movies. When he is in the car and listening to jazz music “Wait for it. Here is where it really takes off.” *music pauses and barely ups tempo*
Free Guy was going to be my answer. It's a bad movie, but damn if I didn't walk out of that theater feeling uplifted.
Sometimes you just want uncomplicated, surface level fun, where what you see is what you get.
>It's a bad movie You shut your hooker mouth, this movie is pure fun from start to finish with exciting action, fun humor, and an edge of your seat climax
I LOVE Free Guy!
You don't get lines like "Albuquerque boiled turkey" just anywhere.
It's not a bad movie though. Has some cheesy lines, but I don't understand why a popcorn movie had to also be labeled as bad.
Nah. It's just the live action Lego Movie with a little Wreck it Ralph franchise sprinkled in. They almost added too much Ready Player One to the recipe and messed it up. Great fun stuff.
Secret Life of Walter Mitty Hunt for the Wilderpeople
Walter Mitty was my first thought at this question, there's just something about that movie that just makes me feel happy. I know it's not a perfect movie, but it's my go to feel good movie.
Secret life of Walter Mitty is the only answer. It sparks something in your everytime cause it's super relatable.
Paddington 2
Amélie is the ultimate feel good movie, imo.
Oui oui, magnifique !
The Fantastic Mr. Fox Edit: Happy cry at the end every time. I smile just thinking about it.
Written and directed by the dildo head guy and the undercover narc from Reno 911
Shawshank Redemption - not a feel-good movie but one of the best feel-good endings of all time. The Princess Bride - ticks all the boxes. One of the best. When Harry Met Sally - one of the wittiest scripts ever, with a proper ending with all the feels.
You will never find a more personally satisfying movie than Shawshank
Shawshank is an interesting choice, very depressing movie but possibly one of the best & most satisfying movie endings of all time
When I want a feel-good romance, When Harry Met Sally and Pretty Woman are 2 of my go-to movies.
The Princess Bride is my comfort movie. I always feel fuzzy watching it
[Ferris Bueller's Day Off](https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/ferris_buellers_day_off). If it's not on any of your streaming services, my little sister and I could swing by to recite it from memory.
Stranger than fiction is weird and awesome and not what you think it is
When I was a young boy, my momma said to me, there's only one girl in the world for you and she probably lives in Tahiti....
Ponyo is my mood booster. The animation is incredible. Same thing with Spirited Away, or other Miyazaki (except The Wind Rises, which is pretty sad) The Shape Of Water Always makes me feel good.

The Birdcage
EXCELLENT choice!
Thanks! I love that movie. Not a sad moment, and yet it’s so heartwarming.
Eddie the Eagle
Stardust
The Last Starfighter. One of the first movies to use computer graphics in the 80s. Considering its about a man who plays a computer game, I think it still fits. The movie has a lot of heart. The computer game turns out to be a test for star fighters, and a music man of sorts comes to pay a visit.

Marley and Me
Close Encounters of the Third Kind. It takes a lot of strife to get there, but the entire third act is one great, uplifting ending.

Truman show is very nice Also for as dark as the DC Snyder movies are thought as, Zack Snyders Justice League has a pretty sweet ending (ignoring the Knightmare stuff), especially the addition of the “for autumn” at the end
Justice League in any version is not a feel good movie, it’s a piece of garbage, with one having a longer run time than the other.
