Dude I’ve watched that movie over and over and I love it! I don’t know anyone else that enjoyed it. The music and visuals were great, but I also appreciated the story (although I know some didn’t).
I'm with you! Tron Legacy is hands down one of the coolest movie experiences I've ever had. Amazing soundtrack (that should have gotten an Oscar nom!). And the digital environment (that was supposed to look digital!) was perfect for 3D.
The absolute best way to watch Tron: Legacy, IMO, is with a VR headset.
The absolute perfect 3D adds such a sense of solidity to it compared to passive 3D in a theater, and the transitions between 2D and 3D are all the more impactful because of it.
Although second to that is seeing it on a good home theater projector with active 3D glasses. I just wish there was a 4K 3D format.
Which headset?
PSVR with 3D Blu-rays is the easiest way as it just works (not supported on PSVR2 for some reason).
For other headsets there's various methods/apps that can do it. E.g. on a Quest you can use Big Screen and either stream the movie from your PC or play it from a file on the actual headset (transferred over via USB).
> PSVR with 3D Blu-rays is the easiest way as it just works (not supported on PSVR2 for some reason).
It's because the PS5 itself doesn't support 3D blu-rays for some reason. The PS3 and 4 did, but not the 5.
My top priority after I got my Quest 2 was to find copies of Tron:Legacy and Dredd in 3D. So good.
The local art house theater in Chicago just put in a 3D projector that uses active glasses, which I've never experienced. I'm so looking forward to seeing Tron: Legacy there as part of the opening festival.
Watching the original Tron and Legacy soon after each other is such a wild experience. I keep imagining going back in time right after Tron released and showing them Legacy, esp. the [lightcycle reveals](https://youtu.be/SqSuRdkglxM) (and the one at 0:37).
I watched the original in the theater when I was 11. The original lightcycle scenes were mindblowing and helped fuel a lifelong obsession of what is possible with computers. Showing us Legacy back then would be like dangling a real, working BTTF Mr. Fusion portable power source in front of technical people today.
Yes! Tron Uprising! Elijiah plays Beck, working with Tron to be the new Tron. And Bruce Boxleitner still voices Tron too, shoot they even had Olivia Wilde come in for an episode. Awesome show.
I scrolled hoping somebody would suggest Carpenter Brut. I'd go see it opening night if they got him for the OST. If the theater didn't blow up, at least my brain would.
Junkie XL (guy who did Fury Road).
He's already a techno DJ by pedigree. I would throw music he's already written onto a TRON soundtrack because it fits. Listen to songs like 'Fight' off of Saturday Teenage Kick. 'War' sounds like it's practically written for TRON.
Oh man Junkie XL was the first dj I saw my first time at ultra music festival in 2008 and he set such a gnarly tone for the weekend. Booming back at you still plays in my rotation
No Garrett Hedlund, Olivia Wilde, Jeff Bridges (of course), Cillian Murphy, Daft Punk... it isn't going to be much of a sequel.
Actually, my favorite part of Tron: Legacy was Michael Sheen as Zuse, but they blew him up too.
*EVEN BETTER*, apparently the whole story is about Jared Leto’s program character coming to the real world. 70% of this is probably just going to look like a normal action movie.
EDIT: official description paired with this image:
*“Tron: Ares follows a highly sophisticated Program, Ares, who is sent from the digital world into the real world on a dangerous mission, marking humankind’s first encounter with A.I. beings”*
Fuck... I hate to be all doom and gloom, but I'd bet big money this will be a flop. Leto is not a leading man, and I'm not at all interested in seeing his struggles as an AI in the human world... How does Leto keep getting leading roles? Does he have dirt on someone?
Worst of all, is that when this tanks, it will kill Tron movies. They should have made this a decade ago when the cast from the second movie could have come back, and Daft Punk would have still been around to make another sound track.
I also hate to be doom and gloom... but like, do they not realize the entire cool part of the original Tron was showing off what it was like in The Grid? I'd be ok with *some* real world stuff, even a little bit more than the original Tron. But like... bruh. Please not a whole movie thats just a generic action movie with LEDs on some of the characters.
If anything, make an unconnected film entirely that sticks to the basic themes of TRON, and just do a complete rethink of how an abstract computer world would work in the modern age.
The TRON 2.0 game from the early 00s tried a little bit. There's a whole sequence where you escape a crashing system by getting emailed into a PDA. You then spend a whole level having to figure out puzzles based around the absolute tiny amount of energy and processing power available within it. I don't know how well it'd hold up if I were to replay it today, but the concept is still great.
Not that I disagree with you but that's why Kosinskis movie was going to be. But I don't think Leto and whoever the director they got for this is going to be able to execute as well as Kosinski would've
It still blows my mind that the execs at Disney didn’t discard this and do everything in their power to bring Kosinski back to make a proper sequel to Legacy after Top Gun blew up.
I was thinking the same. When Top Gun Maverick came out, I was shocked to hear it was by the same guy that managed to revive Tron a decade earlier and thought that would lead to him taking over the 3rd film
Because Disney doesnt want to pay the guy I'm sure. Top Gun Maverick made about a billion more than Tron Legacy in the end and Tron made Disney about $400million which is no slouch. He probably wanted to get paid and I dont blame him.
Let's be honest. Unless they fuck up and make a good movie on accident, Hollywood has proven they have no idea how to make decent, original films these days.
I really, *really* hope they're taking the soundtrack composer as seriously on this movie as every other aspect. I can guarantee most critics will talk about the music and they'll have gigantic shoes to fill.
\*E: Consider Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, please. Especially after Watchmen (2019), Soul, and TMNT: Mutant Mayhem.
Yeah, they announced they were disbanding in 2021 to pursue other things. For what it's worth, I've seen nothing to suggest it was anything but a mutual/amicable decision. Thomas Bangalter has said in recent interviews that he was just ready to retire the robot characters.
I bet Daft Punk will reunite one day, but unfortunately Tron: Legacy was 14 years ago. If they were ever actually interested in participating in a sequel that ship probably sailed long before they actually split. It just took too long to materialize.
I agree with it being awesome but Disney really should have done something about this. Cuz that soundtrack and Daft Punk’s involvement is vital to the films popularity.
Jared Leto 👎
Director of Pirates of the Caribbean. No, not that one. No, not that one either. The 5th one. 👎
Takes place in the real world. 👎
No Daft Punk. 👎
Honestly, I can see a few ways they could make it cool, they'd just need to bring a TON of the Grid into the real world. Like as much as possible. I'm talking light bikes duelling on the Autobahn type shit.
Idk if they could make it make sense, but lightbikes in a downtown city chase would be so cool. But i just think coming *out* of the digital world is backing out of what makes Tron, Tron
Wasn’t that the plot of Legacy??? They were specifically trying to stop CLU and his army from invading the real world. So are we just going to retcon the sacrifice made by Flynn to save on the CG budget?
This is the second comment I saw about PotC5 and thought "Damn, they're judging it and it isn't even out yet". I saw Dead Men Tell No Tales and On Stranger Tides, but I think I forgot they were canon.
Canon? Lol I’d forgotten they existed till now.
Actually don’t think I ever saw OST, and probably still won’t. I maybe one day if I’m feeling bored and wanna fuck around and find out.
So we’re supposed to root for Leto, who’s clearly not a fan favorite - & he’s wearing the Bad Guy colors of the Tron world, likely in some lame attempt to be edgy? Already got two strikes against your “hero lead”…
No returning cast from legacy, no original cast returning from original Tron, no Daft Punk, not a lot of time spent in the digital Tron world it sounds like… this is really lining up the reasons for me to skip this.
Fans wanted a sequel to *Legacy* or at least a film that picks up some of the threads. Fans wanted Tron himself to be *in* a *Tron* movie. Fans want to see what happens with Quorra and Sam. Fans want to see Cillian Murphy -- who is *far* bigger now than he was back then and could easily draw people in -- be the big villain. Like, it's shocking how tone deaf Disney is to this, especially when that film has had almost 15 years to really cultivate a fan base and hunger for more.
And now what pisses me off is, if this movie underperforms or outright fails, and a lot of the criticism is exactly what we're all calling out -- that it ignores everything *Legacy* set up, that Leto is awful, that the real world undermines why people like this franchise, that the *titular character* is irrelevant in it, etc. -- Disney is just going to ignore all that and see it as proof that no one cares about the *franchise* rather than this specific, misguided film.
That’s the most upsetting part with all these adaptions and late sequels. Like halo recently, it’s 15 years too late. There’s a ton of games out with established lore. It’s like they are making shitty content on purpose.
Is there a word for this? Designing something to fail and blame it on something else being the reason it does? I feel like its similar to gas lighting, but shittier.
This truly is a monkey’s paw scenario.
We get a Tron sequel, but it’s after Daft Punk retired AND stars Jared Leto. He’s fine when he’s used appropriately like getting the shit beat out of him in Fight Club or brutally murdered in American Psycho, but not this.
Don't forget Dallas Buyer's Club. It's been a while since he's struck gold and I can't imagine this film could be better than mediocre. We'll see soon enough.
I am a huge Tron: Legacy fan, it is my comfort movie so I have seen it probably over 100 times at this point. I am seriously concerned I won't like this movie, not because of Leto or the director, but because it seemingly is going to take place primarily in the real world. I feel like some of the best parts of all Tron films are the exploration of the grid as a setting and the aesthetics created by it.
Oh also Daft Punk isn't doing the soundtrack, sad.
I think the original plans for a Legacy sequel were going to be the premise for Ares (the grid leaking into the real world). But I’d probably trust that execution with Kosinski and Daft Punk, not with the director of Pirates of the Caribbean 5
Doesn't seem like it's going to be very connected at all based on the summary on IMDB: "Showcases Ares, Leto's computer program, on a journey from the digital world to the human one."
Also, I don't think any of the Legacy cast is in it.
Oh I get what you're saying. Yeah maybe, but I still think going to the real world would have been a mistake as you're not taking advantage of one of the coolest settings in film.
I seriously don't understand how or why studios keep hiring this guy. It feels like there are more people who WOULDN'T want to see a movie if Leto is in it rather than him being a box office draw.
So no Jeff Bridges, no Bruce Boxleitner, no Olivia Wilde, no Garrett Hedlund… we get Jared Leto… pass.
I tolerated him in BR2049 since he was a tertiary character but if he’s supposed to be the main in this… 🤮
“Alan, what brings you here?”
“Sam, your father made a backup of himself on the Grid. We need to get to the central mainframe to access it.”
Then insert something about Alan getting a page from the arcade, text on his phone, etc that made him bring it up.
Hollywood can come up with something.
Sam puts a memory card on a necklace after he and Quorra get out of the grid, and given that they had Kevin Flynn's disk when they escaped I think it's implied that the memory card contains the contents of his disk.
So all they would have to do is load him back into the grid and then he's back alive again inside.
Clu was still around AFAIK or could easily be brought back via Shenanigans.
Hell, finding another program made by Flynn or even the original Clu program would be enough of an excuse to bring him back.
The director joseph kosinski [recently confirmed it](https://www.reddit.com/r/4kbluray/comments/1abcxi9/tron_legacy_4k_atmos_remaster_confirmed_by/) during a watchalong of top gun maverick
It's out in 2025 ([Source](https://x.com/JaredLeto/status/1763298676150243665?s=20)):
>‘Tron: Ares’ follows a highly sophisticated Program, Ares (Leto), who is sent from the digital world into the real world on a dangerous mission, marking humankind’s first encounter with A.I. beings.
Cast:
* Jared Leto
* Evan Peters
* Greta Lee
* Jodie Turner-Smith
* Cameron Monaghan
* Sarah Desjardins
* Gillian Anderson
Wait, what is that plot synopsis? So it’s going to just take place in the real world? Oh yeah, that’s what everyone wants out of a Tron movie…
Then we have Jared Leto starring & the director of Pirates of the Caribbean 5. Gonna be a yikes from me dawg.
What do you mean? Tron Legacy was a great movie about a man taking over the family business and having board room meetings, shame they ruined it with all the computer stuff and loud music. Hoping for lots of board room meetings in this one!
A tron film with leto and without daft punk was bad enough but that story summary makes it even less interesting. Tron is cool because of the digital world it's in. Having the digital world come to the "real" world isn't interesting to me especially when you realize they're only doing that because it's cheaper to film than an all digital movie. Gonna be a hard pass on this one.
Maybe he is, and you just uncovered the big plot twist of the film. I mean, he's named Ares. He's probably sent to the real world in order to prepare everything for the war in a sequel (I propose *TRON: Invasion*), in which Tron himself returns to save the world.
So...uh the key to get back to the real world went WITH Flynn's son at the end and the whole thing was shut down. So it's gonna be some stupid plot point that it gets accidentally turned back on isn't it?
Act 1: ENCOM sees a couple of new shiny technologies created by Sam and his mystery waifu and dig into what Flynn had been working on. They uncover a backup from the original movie's system and hire a genius hacker who upgrades it with bits of code stolen from a military AI system.
Damnit, this was supposed to be Kevin Flynn and Clu being forced to re-integrate collapsing the grid, yet somehow Flynn survived. Then needs to call out to the real world for Sam and Cora's help, accidentally alerting Cilian Murphy's character to the existence of the grid. Setting off a race to create a portal, enter the grid, save Flynn and escape to the real world, using the Isos to solve all sorts of problems plaguing mankind. A
lso locking Cilian Murphy's character in the grid during the process of the escape, setting up the final of the quadrilogy where he gains massive power and control in the grid and eventually succeeds where Clu could not, and re-enters the real world for an amazing battle of AI and Grid technology vs advanced humans and the Isos.
Instead it's Jared Leto is a program who goes to the real world.
This is going to be huge for fans of colored LEDs
Can confirm, am a fan of colored LEDs and loved Tron: Legacy.
Dude I’ve watched that movie over and over and I love it! I don’t know anyone else that enjoyed it. The music and visuals were great, but I also appreciated the story (although I know some didn’t).

There was also that tie in animation show. I believe it had Elijah Wood as a voice.
Yes! Tron Uprising! Elijiah plays Beck, working with Tron to be the new Tron. And Bruce Boxleitner still voices Tron too, shoot they even had Olivia Wilde come in for an episode. Awesome show.
I LOVE that show, its such a shame they didnt take it anywhere.
Disney canceled it too early for sure, but I’m so glad they managed some kind of ending. The soundtrack is sooo good too.
It had an all-star production crew as well. That and Sym-Bionic Titan are the two shows of the last 15 years I wish would be allowed to finish.
PC gamers and movie fans unite!
I can’t wait to watch this with my Hue Sync setup and not pay attention to the dialogue.
A new Tron movie? Awesome “Finds out Kosinski isn’t returning and Cillian Murphy won’t be playing the bad guy as set up in Legacy” Oh
Also, Daft Punk is no more, so we won't be getting another soundtrack from them. Damn shame, that album ruled.
[удалено]
I also wouldn't be mad if it was Gesaffelstein.
I, too, would be cool if it was SebastiAn.
There’s also Kavinsky. So let’s be honest - if you’re French and make electronic music, you’re on the list.
Carpenter Brut would cause theaters to suddenly blow up
Anyone from the Hotline Miami soundtrack has my 👍🏻
Or stuff like [Power Glove](https://youtu.be/xWr6Oatoze4?si=bkmmQ5izvUxdwHdn)'s contributions to Far Cry 3
Power Glove peaked with that godly Soundtrack! I still blast it on the highway to this day, after almost 11 years!
Maybe even some Pertubator or Black Tiger Sex Machine too!
I was just listening to Turbo Killer. That’d fit brilliantly a fighting sequence!
Awesome music video to that track
Oh, please give me a CB remix of Wendy Carlos' original "Tron" theme.
I scrolled hoping somebody would suggest Carpenter Brut. I'd go see it opening night if they got him for the OST. If the theater didn't blow up, at least my brain would.
Starcadian too.
I would also like to put forward The Algorithm
Skeler!
I would gladly settle for Danger
Danger is my GOAT behind daft punk and so many people don't even know who he is. Damn shame.
Gessafelstein would perfectly fit the cyber nior
Could definitely go for hate or glory
If this movie has a darker tone gessafelstein would be perfect
Carpenter Brut would be pretty sick too
Hotline Tron would go hard
Still rooting for Trentmoller here
M83 as well
If you haven't, check their remix from the first TRON album, it rules.
I remember listening to that album throughout 2011. It made me feel inspired and brought me up when I was feeling down
Derezzed was so good.
Favorite song on the soundtrack. And it never feels long enough.
I literally broke an in-dash CD player replaying that album… thank god that was my CD-R copy instead of my collectors edition.
I’m running to that album every day in the gym. Going on Day 37 now. Unsurprisingly it lasts the whole hour. It’s frankly ridiculous
Same. I still listen to that soundtrack. Daft Punk created a masterpiece.
I pity whoever has to follow in their footsteps here.
Get Reznor and Ross in there and they'd give us a hell of a vibe, though.

Michael Scheen is a God (pun intended) at HAMMING it up.

apparently Cillian Murphy may be back as Ed Dillinger Jr. But still no TRON, no industrial designer turned filmmaker!

I just went from "Oh wow I can't wait to see this!" to "Okay, not interested" in record time.
Yeah this was a very fast rollercoaster for me. "Holy shit, another Tron! Wait, Leto in the real world? Nevermind."
Not that I disagree with you but that's why Kosinskis movie was going to be. But I don't think Leto and whoever the director they got for this is going to be able to execute as well as Kosinski would've
And Kosinski's movie earned that. It's a logical follow-up to Legacy. This is just... here.
It's basically a YourJokeButWorse™ movie.
Oh you GOTTA be shitting me.
Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy 😭
> Jared Leto Aight, Imma head out.
Leto’s in this!? Well, I’m out.
Has literally ruined the film for me.
Same. I refuse to see it as a result and I've watched Legacy more than most movies.
To be fair he’s a very convincing movie villain because he is a real-life villain
yea? How was he as joker?
Terrible joker, but totally believable a creepy loser clown who thinks he's cool.
Yeah but we're not talking about his music career.
God DAMN
Ok good point lol
No Bruce Boxleitner (you know, the title character) either.
I would have put up with Jared Leto for Boxleitner. But nah, I'm out.
It still blows my mind that the execs at Disney didn’t discard this and do everything in their power to bring Kosinski back to make a proper sequel to Legacy after Top Gun blew up.

Bring Daft Punk back
i was under the impression they’re not even a group anymore?
Yeah, they announced they were disbanding in 2021 to pursue other things. For what it's worth, I've seen nothing to suggest it was anything but a mutual/amicable decision. And Daft Punk is still pissed i think at disney for remixing the tron legacy album without any form of communciation towards them.
Busy P HATED that remix album
Honestly Daft Punk could feel however they want about it, but that reconfigured Remix album is a bunch of fucking bangers and I still love it
I agree with it being awesome but Disney really should have done something about this. Cuz that soundtrack and Daft Punk’s involvement is vital to the films popularity.
Wait what! That “Reconfigured” album was done without their permission? Had no idea!
they are if you pay them enough
From what I found, they're not a group but they're doing they're own things separately. According to Wikipedia they share the same equipment still.
Best I can do is Kraft Punk
GET OUTTA HERE!
it should go to Joseph Trapanese as he worked on Legacy with them.
Jared Leto 👎 Director of Pirates of the Caribbean. No, not that one. No, not that one either. The 5th one. 👎 Takes place in the real world. 👎 No Daft Punk. 👎
No Cilian Murphy. 👎
No Olivia Wilde 👎
her lounging on the couch in Legacy was in my desktop wallpaper rotation for 10 years
Mine was gem. Normally I'd pick Olivia and all day at that. but Beau Garrett looked 11/10 as gem.

I see you are playing all the angles...
100% digital baddie

No Michael Sheen as Castor 👎
100% better with the addition of Sheen. Under-utilized in Tron Legacy and Passengers.
No Garrett Hedlund 👎
No Jeff Bridges 👎
Did you just say Takes place in the real world? Who the hell would want a Tron movie that takes place mostly in the real world? You've ruined my day.
Honestly, I can see a few ways they could make it cool, they'd just need to bring a TON of the Grid into the real world. Like as much as possible. I'm talking light bikes duelling on the Autobahn type shit.

This truly is a monkey’s paw scenario. We get a Tron sequel, but it’s after Daft Punk retired AND stars Jared Leto. He’s fine when he’s used appropriately like getting the shit beat out of him in Fight Club or brutally murdered in American Psycho, but not this.

He wasn't acting in that film they just snuck a camera in his mansion and used the footage
If this gets me a 4K UHD Blu-ray of *Tron: Legacy* with great HDR, I’ll take it.
Okay now you're talking sense

Requiem and BR2049 as well. Leto really does kill it 40% of the time... God damnit...
Don't forget Dallas Buyer's Club. It's been a while since he's struck gold and I can't imagine this film could be better than mediocre. We'll see soon enough.
Hey... he was a pretty good drug addict in God of War as well, and he was also a really good drug addict in Requiem for a Dream. Edit: Lord of War
As a huge fan of legacy, I'm pretty sure this movie is going to be shit.
You're sadly probably right. Legacy fucking rules.
I think the original plans for a Legacy sequel were going to be the premise for Ares (the grid leaking into the real world). But I’d probably trust that execution with Kosinski and Daft Punk, not with the director of Pirates of the Caribbean 5
Doesn't seem like it's going to be very connected at all based on the summary on IMDB: "Showcases Ares, Leto's computer program, on a journey from the digital world to the human one." Also, I don't think any of the Legacy cast is in it.
It isn’t just saying that under Kosinski’s direction, a Tron movie in the real world had interesting potential. But it’ll be squandered most likely
Oh I get what you're saying. Yeah maybe, but I still think going to the real world would have been a mistake as you're not taking advantage of one of the coolest settings in film.
I thought I was the only one who puts on Tron Legacy as often as I do, I bet there are dozens of us!
It holds a very special place in my heart.
Jared Leto being lead just ruins it for me.
I seriously don't understand how or why studios keep hiring this guy. It feels like there are more people who WOULDN'T want to see a movie if Leto is in it rather than him being a box office draw.
Right? Can we just stop casting this fucking pervert?
Curious how he’ll act like an asshole on set then claim its method acting.
pointing lasers in his costars' eyes and saying 'TROND YA'
Dude probably has some serious fucking blackmail on Hollywood elites.
Can't wait for him to say "ITS TRONIN TIME"
So no Jeff Bridges, no Bruce Boxleitner, no Olivia Wilde, no Garrett Hedlund… we get Jared Leto… pass. I tolerated him in BR2049 since he was a tertiary character but if he’s supposed to be the main in this… 🤮
I mean, Jeff Bridges exploded at the end of *Legacy* so even if this movie seemed promising, I don't think he'd be back.
“Alan, what brings you here?” “Sam, your father made a backup of himself on the Grid. We need to get to the central mainframe to access it.” Then insert something about Alan getting a page from the arcade, text on his phone, etc that made him bring it up. Hollywood can come up with something.
"Somehow Flynn returned."
Sam puts a memory card on a necklace after he and Quorra get out of the grid, and given that they had Kevin Flynn's disk when they escaped I think it's implied that the memory card contains the contents of his disk. So all they would have to do is load him back into the grid and then he's back alive again inside.
I thought it was implied that he loaded the TRON world to the memory card (as it was isolated from the rest of the world).
Tron Legacy "I fight.. For The User." Tron Ares, "jk still bad" Why not bring him back, doesn't look like they care.
Clu was still around AFAIK or could easily be brought back via Shenanigans. Hell, finding another program made by Flynn or even the original Clu program would be enough of an excuse to bring him back.
Tron: Arse
Thank you.
I just want a 4K remaster for Tron: Legacy.
The director joseph kosinski [recently confirmed it](https://www.reddit.com/r/4kbluray/comments/1abcxi9/tron_legacy_4k_atmos_remaster_confirmed_by/) during a watchalong of top gun maverick
Well shit. Gonna be interesting since the film was only done at 2K res.
I am so, so upset that Jared is in this
This movie is DOA with Jared Leto. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if he finally gets cancelled right before this movie's release.
“Hell yeah we love Jared Leto” Disney execs for some reason
Daft Punk absolutely made the last one, one of the best scores ever, hard act to follow…
Get Jared out of the movie and I'll be there
I love tron but please get Jared Leto out of the movie
As a huge TRON fan, I’m skeptical
*Feels like im wearing nothing at all.....nothing at all....*
Stupid sexy Tron!
Why is Garret Hedlund not involved?
It's out in 2025 ([Source](https://x.com/JaredLeto/status/1763298676150243665?s=20)): >‘Tron: Ares’ follows a highly sophisticated Program, Ares (Leto), who is sent from the digital world into the real world on a dangerous mission, marking humankind’s first encounter with A.I. beings. Cast: * Jared Leto * Evan Peters * Greta Lee * Jodie Turner-Smith * Cameron Monaghan * Sarah Desjardins * Gillian Anderson
Wait, what is that plot synopsis? So it’s going to just take place in the real world? Oh yeah, that’s what everyone wants out of a Tron movie… Then we have Jared Leto starring & the director of Pirates of the Caribbean 5.
The best thing about the Tron movies was being in the game. This premise sucks.
Ugh so we’re supposed to ROOT for Leto? I was hoping he’d be a corrupted program or something
pretty sure he's the program Ares... which makes it even campier.
Sounds terrible
Damnit, this was supposed to be Kevin Flynn and Clu being forced to re-integrate collapsing the grid, yet somehow Flynn survived. Then needs to call out to the real world for Sam and Cora's help, accidentally alerting Cilian Murphy's character to the existence of the grid. Setting off a race to create a portal, enter the grid, save Flynn and escape to the real world, using the Isos to solve all sorts of problems plaguing mankind. A lso locking Cilian Murphy's character in the grid during the process of the escape, setting up the final of the quadrilogy where he gains massive power and control in the grid and eventually succeeds where Clu could not, and re-enters the real world for an amazing battle of AI and Grid technology vs advanced humans and the Isos. Instead it's Jared Leto is a program who goes to the real world.
Can you please write and sell this script to The Mouse before they get further into this train wreck. It's not too late to turn it around.
IF DAFT PUNK NOT DOING MUSIC I DONT WANT IT
I can’t get behind this. Not just cause of Leto. But without Daft Punk and Kosinski, there’s really no point
You spelled Arse wrong.
Hype Sad Jared Leto will kill this movie at the box office.
No daft punk, no cillian Murphy, no garret hedlund, no see movie
