I actually liked him in that movie. He is a bit… James Franco but I thought the relationship with him and Caesar and his sick father was done pretty well.

I didn't notice his acting at all, so to me it was a fine job. I even missed him in Dawn.

mormonbatman_

> Why oh why was he cast? He was a movie star, at the time.

Alarming_Orchid

What happened to him anyway?

mormonbatman_

His inappropriate sexual proclivities made him uninsurable.

Alarming_Orchid

Dang that sucks. I think his humor and acting could really shine with today’s audience

Watching John Lithgow I *felt* his elation at remembering how to do something again, as I'm no longer a young man. Seeing him act his heart out was beautifully moving, and reminded me of my youth when I felt that there was ***NOTHING*** I couldn't do. The performance is a bit nearer the knuckle than I might have liked, but still a brilliant performance from a very talented actor. James Franco's character was an arsehole. ED; Watching Caesar hand him the fork was heart breaking, and perfectly done by both of them.

Franco was fine in the movie. Every action he made felt appropriate to me. The only odd casting decision IMO was Tom Felton. He was good as an asshole but his accent was not. It was very distracting at times.

James Franco can only be James Franco but hey it was believable that he would mess up an Alzheimer's vaccine

yourejustbeingadick

Not only mess up an Alzheimer's vaccine, somehow mutate it to kill most of the world and let monkeys shove their shit down our throats.
