It should. Setup your cloud sync scope to exclude an OU with a test user and group and see what happens. With Entra AD sync anyway, after a delta sync the user and group object are deleted and you’ll need to restore the object so it converts to cloud only. I don’t have any experience with cloud sync, that you’ll need to test in your environment

Toss local Active Directory server. Migrate AD user profiles to Intra / Azure with profile wiz.
How about disconnecting the ad cloud sync? Does all the 365 users, groups etc auto convert to cloud objects? Any gotchyas with this
