Bruh. Calm down. We have a game changer coming April 30th. Just stick around, accept the TOS and life will be greener!

StockMarketCasino

Uhh yea just take the blue kaseya pill, reconnect your brain tether and go back into the harvester pod.

Came to Ninja from ConnectWise Automate for RMM only. We love their sales support and their client support and their onboarding support. They are awesome and we chose M2M because frankly why not the price is right. I don't use my RMM for backup because that would deprive me of the right to select my favorite and best fit for backup and BCDR. We are happy Ninja customers with about 3500 endpoints not looking back.

networkn

Wow, I'd love to know your policy layout! We have about 1k and it's about the only thing I miss from automate are the targeted policies. 3500 endpoints makes my head throb. The fact you can't separate patching policies from anything else is such a limitation.

SWITmsp

I think the "standard" that I see mentioned most these days is: HaloPSA NinaOne Hudu Whatever backup you trust We use Manage, Ninja, ITG, ScreenConnect I'm very happy with Ninja. Backups are pretty ok. We had a client recently test out the backups by pouring coffee on his laptop. New laptop restored just fine from the data Ninja had previously backed up. They have server backups, but I'm not ready to trust them with that.

Syncro could take over everything if they fixed about 20 things. I suspect they will keep developing tags and retire all other custom fields so they can have proper CRM, multiple service boards, project boards, etc. I switched from Syncro to CW, that sucked, then to halo + ninja and it's a struggle but soooo much better. I am still paying for minimum syncro user count with the hope of one day switching back.

talman_

I couldn't get off Syncro fast enough.

lowNegativeEmotion

I don't think anyone moves to syncro. They grow into it with a remote tool and QBO. Then move off.

TheRaveGiraffe

I was on a different thread in r/msp and one of the comments came from a “msp” with over 100k end points on the service. Kaseya has been trying everything to get them to change but from what I saw they are not moving off Ninja. To note, I’m former barracuda msp employee (9yrs) now at a cyber insurance company building a msp channel. (Vendor)

zestmspPres

I would recommend looking into Level or like others mentioned Ninja for RMM. Halo is a strong platform as well if you are good with their minimum user count and onboarding costs.

2WheelDave

Thanks, Level looks interesting, but lacks PSA. I'd really like to have that functionality integrated.

zestmspPres

Stay tuned keep an eye out for upcoming integrations!

AdmirableOne26

SherpaDesk is a PSA that integrates with NinjaRMM. The features include helpdesk ticketing, project management, time tracking, invoicing/quoting, asset management, data reporting, etc. They are very affordable and their support is very responsive and helpful. Check them out - [https://www.sherpadesk.com](https://www.sherpadesk.com)

goldengode

We have used a lot of PSA's and one that is impressing is [gorelo.io](https://gorelo.io), they are new, but consistently developing, responsive and the roadmap is extensive, very suitable now for a small MSP.

lowNegativeEmotion

Why would someone pick gorelo.io over syncro? Haven't tried gorelo, but it looks like a less mature product at a higher price. Syncro can't compete against monster stacks like halo+ninja or CW + Automate, so how does gorelo.io plan to compete?

slimpig666

Hey mate, Mikel from Gorelo here. Jump on a call with me and decide for yourself — I think you’ll be impressed with what we’ve built so far (and still in early access). As an example — Syncro and Gorelo both do ‘ticketing’ but you’ll quickly realise that ours was built with the technician in mind (I own an MSP and live in tickets all day haha!)

lowNegativeEmotion

The ticketing in syncro is fine, better than most. The navigation to the client's computer that is on the phone sucks. The syncro solution to that suckery is that the system tray has a chat option. Chats can be converted to tickets. I don't know anyone else who does that. Do you?

Hell yes

2WheelDave

I forgot to ask, how effective are backups in Ninja? Right now we are using Cove for servers and workstations where immediate RTO isn't a requirement. For folks that can't tolerate downtime, we are using Datto appliances.

Shooper101

Ninja backup just... Isn't good, and is quite expensive unfortunately.

WizardOfGunMonkeys

We recently started using ninja backup, it's actually been fairly solid. Or at least in its current form. The main downsides we've encountered: - no hypervisor support...yet - backups on multi terabyte disk images are a bit slow - its not triggering app VSS writers like SQL so server backups are only crash consistent Pricing wise they just revamped it too. Much more aggressive now.

Shooper101

Interesting, I'll have to check the pricing out again.

Notorious1MSP

I certainly hope Ninja's new PSA is better than the backup product or it's DOA.

CamachoGrande

I would stick with Cove over Ninja backup. If you need on site DR with Cove, you can spin up your own DR server with Hyper-V core or VMware and install the Cove virtual appliance. If you wanted to keep all of your backups in one service. There are actually a couple ways to do it: hot/cold spares, cloud/on prem, continuous recovery, etc. Cove support can do it more justice than I am. Cove onsite DR takes more work to set up than Datto. Not knocking Datto devices, they are handy and do like them, but price and contracts from Kaseya were tough. Best of luck.

WalkFirm

Ninja RMM works very well. Out performs connectwise in many areas, especially price. The only thing I miss with Ninja is the NOC. If they had a NOC, I’d throw lots more cash in. Haven’t used kaseya RMM but do still use Datto, well until they piss the owner off again then it’s time to reassess primary local backups.

JDM_WAAAT

Doing the same thing. Switch to NinjaOne.

2WheelDave

You were running VSA previously? Version 9 or 10?

JDM_WAAAT

9, they tried to get us to switch to 10, but 10 is just pulseway with little development by Kaseya.

shmobodia

I’m on the fence, but I’m actually hopefully with 10. Some big missing features, but the pace of development is encouraging. We’re just month to month though. 6 more months and I think it will be decent. VSAX, BMS, and ITG at the moment.

NoturServer2Day

VSA X is better than 9. Quite a few automations are built in with no scripting required.

JDM_WAAAT

Avoid Kaseya. Bad experience all around, mediocre product at best.

shmobodia

Eh. We’ve been on this stack for 4 years and it’s fine. We’re insulated from the BS through a reseller.

MSPMayhem

We migrated from Datto to Ninja last year. Overall it is a positive experience. Datto was a bit more streamlined in the way jobs ran but it is not difficult to manage in Ninja. Syncro has a really good value proposition but Ninja was just a more complete package. My time is valuable and I just want the scripts to work. Ninja does that.

Notorious1MSP

My biggest problem with Ninja is the cost for what you get. It's expensive. And I can't lock in pricing.

2WheelDave

What prompted your move from Datto to Ninja?

MSPMayhem

We had concerns over the direction the acquisition would go, some key people I knew there left, and Ninja had improved significantly. Some of our fears were not unfounded: our remaining bill with Datto is wildly incorrect with numbers all over the map even though we made no changes, and their billing department hasn't been able to resolve it for over 7 months with multiple different account managers and referrals to the billing department. Overall I am glad we made the transition.

syncromsp

For anyone interested in hearing from MSPs who have transitioned off of a big box platform, join this [webinar](https://syncromsp.com/webinars/the-wiser-choice/?utm_medium=organic_social&utm_source=reddit&utm_campaign=syn_lg_disconnect_from_connectwise_webinar&campid=syn_l_disconnect&utm_content=msp_community) on April 23 at 2 pm ET to understand what the migration process was like, pros and cons of their experience, and more.

Notorious1MSP

We've been running Ninja and Datto RMM for some time. Ninja is good at most things, but has had some patching issues and is limited with automation. DattoRMM has not had those issues and it has M365 natively, plus the ability to add EDR. It's just a more mature and complete stack with the integrations IMO. That said, once it's deployed and working I don't like to make changes for changes sake. That's why we're still using Ninja for the clients where we have it deployed. But for new customers, we deploy DRMM. Support has been hit or miss for both. It seems to depend on who you get. We need support more often with Ninja due to the patching issues and because it's not as intuitive and also less of our techs known it well.

shady_bananas

You could try Freshworks. They have a built in integration with SanerNow which works great all round.

NoturServer2Day

Datto Siris is Hyper-V compatible. Turning off dynamic memory and assigning plenty of startup RAM is key though.

Yosemite-Dan

Ninja. You'll thank me later.

OverPerspective1648

I’m an AE at Blackpoint Cyber, and many of my MSP partners are pleased with all facets of Ninja. 9.9/10 of my Partners are counting down the days until they can rid themselves of anything related to Kaseya. Their contract terms are beyond obnoxious.

blindgaming

We've been loving HaloPSA+Ninja if you don't meet the minimum licenses for Halo my friend is a distributor and can get you in min of 2 seats vs 10+. I've also been trying to work on a ninja wholesale deal getting a bunch of msps into a ninja reseller program for wholesale cost. We're basically trying to get a ton of people together to bulk buy ninja at higher tiers. In terms of Kaseya's cybersecurity stack I'd love to have a chat. We've been taking a lot of clients that are trying to move off of Kaseya

2WheelDave

What cyber security products are you repping?

taiotai_tech

I'm a Datto user. I was actually thinking of switching to Ninja, but now I'm not sure. My main issue with Ninja right now is that they have a one-policy-per-device rule, which would make things a bit more difficult for me.

Assumeweknow

Check out solarwinds dameware. You can even sell it to internal IT for their management with your high level assistance. Demo it somewhere for 30 days and you'll find it's easier than you would think.

Special_Tart_528

Recommend Pulseway RMM. All you gotta do is convince the rep to not sign you up for a year contract. Runs smooth as, love their reporting and integrations. The support is good too

2WheelDave

Isn't VSA X Pulseway? Or is it a fork?

Special_Tart_528

Idk and I don’t care. I like what it does and u like what I pay for it

Briadmss

Pulseway is good.

Justyouwait13

Connectwise is being bought by Kaseya - might want to try the others
