I’m shocked they didn’t shove Phylath in the precon. It won’t make a bunch of plants in a 3-color deck built around a non-basic land type, but permanently buffing Yuma’s plants and the rest of the new cactus folk by 4 seems good
One makes plant, one is good no matter what. Plus they need some 5 dollar cards to sell the decks...
I wouldn't go in for phylat, but I wouldn't say it's a bad spec, especially if it's pennies
Imo, [[Cultivator Colossus]] is the only plant that was really good (and valuable) before the spoilers. There are some other good cards like [[Centaur Vinecrasher]] or [[Genesis Hydra]], but these card have many precon-printings and I don't think they are worth speccing. I think, only three other cards really stand out: [[Sylvan Caryatid]] is a good ramp-plant, and hasn't seen a reprint yet. Also my favorite trees [[Tree of Perdition]] and [[Tree of redemption]] could have potential to shine here too. But tbh, I don't know if these cards are worth the speculation.
I mean... Avenger of Zendikar. Looks like it had some movement in Feb, but has backed off a dollar in the meantime.

Probably because this is a land mill precon more than a land fall. I don't see it spiking, but would still be a good addition.
