I actually like the first one more because of the horrendous rubber banding in the 2nd one. Most n64 games have rubber banding, but the amount in snowboard kids 2 is hilariously atrocious.
Hahaha true. I think my adolescent mind just got used to it and then it was hard to go back. Doesn't hurt I was exposed to 2 first via blockbuster rental.
That's right kids we could rent n64 games from blockbuster once upon a time.
Make it a Blockbuster night! Man, renting movies and games from the video store was a beautiful ritual and staple of our culture that we took for granted. When a Mom or Dad took you, or especially if they watched one with you, it was fun quality time spent. And then in high school you'd go with your best friend or on your own and maybe run into friends, or even your secret crush and have the opportunity to talk to them about what they're renting. Video rental stores, arcades, and the mall..RIP. Actually, social life for kids RIP.
Sometimes I think we have Internet access that is too fast. In the early 2000s we had to schedule Internet time as it was not easily accessible to most of us at least with broadband. I would go to the library about twice a week to go to the Internet. Even then I only spent an hour surfing and the rest hanging out with friends looking at gaming magazines or playing cards. Using the Internet was an event just like renting a movie. Now it's too mundane.
You are missing a few games that I loved playing with friends when I was a younger
Blast Corps was always a fun game with friends. The levels were shortish and its a good game to pass around the controller letting each person attempt a level.
International Superstar Soccer 64 is one of the greatest sports games of all time in my opinion, it is very accessible. Maybe Soccer is not so popular in United States though. It was in the top 5 multiplayer party games when I was younger along with Goldeneye, Wave Race, Mario Kart and Mario Party.
The Micro Machines game was also fun with friends.
Is the FIFA 98 game the one where you can basically turn the referee off and go around hacking the living daylights out of the opposition? Accompanied by a hilarious "oof!" sound effect š The memory of it still makes me laugh all these years later š
Also the glorious ability to hack down the opposition's Goalkeeper while they were trying to kick the ball out. Losing the game? Boof! Have some of that! Instant red card but soo worth it šš
Yes! Turn off yellow and red cards, you can also play indoor soccer with walls. Such a great game. You can do the entire WC qualifying process with any nation. I took Tahiti to the title a few times, the Bahamas as well.
My personal collection on my n64 includes: battletanx (multiplayer), command and conquer (single), South Park (multi I believe), and mickeys speedway USA (multiplayer). I personally enjoyed Forsaken 64 but many criticize, so thatās iffy.
It's not a huge update, just a lot of bug fixes mainly

Here's a link to the creator's twitter page, which has links to the latest version of the patch. It's still being worked on, and there a lot of videos of this romhack on YouTube if you want to see the new tracks and other changes it adds.

Overkart is also the name of the moding program and the discord server where these and other Mario Kart 64 projecta are.
There are plenty of other projects including skin swaps, such as Simpsons, Slasher Kart, San Andreas Kart, Dragon Ball Kart etc that are just the vanilla game with the characters and/or item weapons changed
Wow, I'd forgotten Vigilante 8, one of my neighbors had it and it was indeed a blast to play multiplayer! One of my birthdays was basically getting all the neighborhood kids together to play N64 and I remember I wanted to buy this game after we played it for hours.
I'd add South Park, Extreme G 1 & 2, Goemon's Great Adventure and Ogre Battle 64. If you don't mind me asking what site do you go to for getting digital copies of the games you own....
Edit: I missed Battletanx and Army Men Sarges Heroes!
Dude, the first tony hawk game and toy story 2 are essentials, also that baseball game that came out right before Sammy Sosa got busted for steroids so in the game him and Mark McGwire both have crazy home run stats
Chameleon Twist!
And also the insane, and impenetrably Japanese, Tamagotchi World. Like Mario Party on a drugs trip, and made even more fun when you have no idea whatās going on.
The New Tetris.
My cousins and I (& later my college friends group) used to play 4 player Tetris for HOURS way back when. Surprisingly, it became the N64 game that got the most hours of play on mine (& I had two of the Turoks, DKR, MK64, Rogue Squadron, SF64, etc.)
The music is great, the graphics are SOLID, the attack method for who you send junk to is simple (C left or C right), the method for scoring more points is (for a Tetris game) innovative, & itās the only N64 game that I had that used the D pad that just felt perfect.
Did anyone else have fun playing chefs luv shack?? I never see this game get mentioned.
Four people was actually really fun if you were somewhat good and somewhat competitive lol.
Just slam the whole library of NTSC N64, it fits there.
You are focusing a bit too much on single player games. I would go for MP ones.
The new tetris is amazing and has a great soundtrack.
Puyo puyo sun is great too and has 4 player mode.
Puzzle bobble 64 also has 4p mode.
I have owned it twice and I have the limited edition one that was a rental only, but I cannot figure out how to play it. I feel like there's part of my brain missing when it comes to football because it makes no sense to me. It goes so fast as well that I cant figure out what even the objective is or what's happening. It's kind of like a person with profound autism who is trying to figure out humor for the first time.
I don't see Jet Force Gemini or Mischief Makers on there?
Also I'd personally recommend Bio F.R.E.A.K.S., really great fighting game, totally overlooked.
I skimmed through the list, so forgive me if these are already on there, but I would add:
Beetle adventure racing, Diddy Kong racing, World Driver Championship, GT64, Pole Position64, San Francisco Rush, Fighting Force & South Park64
Doom 64, stunt racers, tiny racers, then if you want real geek bonus points: legend of Zelda dawn and dusk, legend of Zelda sealed palace, and legend of Zelda missing link. All are fan made games with assets from an unreleased n64dd game.
I doubt anyone will request it, but I recommend Iggy's Recking Balls, and Snowboard Kids
Snowboard Kids FTW!
Hell yes. And Snowboard Kids 2 also. Both were great.
There is a 2???
Yup. And its just as good as the first one.
Imo it's better š¤·

Yeah Snowboard kids 1 and 2 were dope
Iggy's reckin balls is the most slept on n64 game.
I rented it a few times as a kid. Never did multiplayer but I bet it'd be fun.
You are missing a few games that I loved playing with friends when I was a younger Blast Corps was always a fun game with friends. Youāre not wrong about ISS 64, that is a fantastic soccer game. I love FIFA Road to the World Cup 98 as well for the 64. Both incredibly fun.

WCW/nWo Revenge, WrestleMania 2000 and WWF No Mercy.
Absolutely must have WCW/nWo Revenge. Would also add Cruisān USA, NBA Hang Time, Killer Instinct Gold, and NFL Blitz.
No Mercy has Andre the Giant as an unlockabke character and so many more. I love that game, my Dad used to kick our ass in it.
WcW was amazinggg so many hours of fun suplexing each other š¤£
My personal collection on my n64 includes: battletanx (multiplayer), command and conquer (single), South Park (multi I believe), and mickeys speedway USA (multiplayer). I personally enjoyed Forsaken 64 but many criticize, so thatās iffy.
I keep getting the urge to play play aouth park on the 64. I know its a meh game. But nostalgia is strong with that one *throws snowball at turkeys*
Good recommendations battletanx was legit and forsaken is underrated lol
You forgot Donkey Kong 64 š„ŗ
I think Smash Remix has a newer version. Also, check out Mario Kart 64 Amped Up.
I just checked 2 days ago and this was it. Could be wrong though. Haven't heard of that mario kart. Thanks for letting me know

Sanfranciso Rush and Rush 2: Extreme Racing USA! The best N64 Racing games ever made! Especially with a friend on the stunt track
Iām also curious about this Mario kart?

Chameleon twist, Vigilante 8, and vigilante 8 2nd offense, Fighting force 64, Battletanx, Army Men Sarges Heroes,
Vigilante and battletanx are massively underrated multiplayer.
Agreed
Wow, I'd forgotten Vigilante 8, one of my neighbors had it and it was indeed a blast to play multiplayer! One of my birthdays was basically getting all the neighborhood kids together to play N64 and I remember I wanted to buy this game after we played it for hours.
Loved Vigilante
Still one of my all time favourites. First and second games. The things I'd do for a remake, as long as they kept true to the soul of the game
NFL blitz
NBA hangtime for sho. Quick games, legendary players, ridiculous dunks
Better ingredients, better pizza, papa johns.
Snowboard Kids 2
Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon
Midway presents: NFL BLITZ
I'd add South Park, Extreme G 1 & 2, Goemon's Great Adventure and Ogre Battle 64. If you don't mind me asking what site do you go to for getting digital copies of the games you own.... Edit: I missed Battletanx and Army Men Sarges Heroes!
Are you thinking only multiplayer? In any case, gotta have Gauntlet Legends, but as far as one player, I have a soft spot for Mission Impossible.
Missing Glover
Paper Mario
Beetle Adventure Racing and Penny Racers are good racers with 4 player multiplayer.
I didnāt see Mario Golf on there, sooooā¦Mario Golf! Play a round in between shooters or racers.
Fighting force 64 is pretty good, it's a 3D beat em up. Also check out nightmare creatures it is an action adventure game. hack n slash.
the entire library is tiny filesize-wise lol just get the whole set
Yea but then it's filled with games I'll never play. I want it filled with games I'll maybe play.
be more adventurous and try shit lol
Snowboard Kids 1/2, Jet Force Gemini, and Dr. Mario.
Dude, the first tony hawk game and toy story 2 are essentials, also that baseball game that came out right before Sammy Sosa got busted for steroids so in the game him and Mark McGwire both have crazy home run stats
You could try Space Station Silicon Valley which is a really fun puzzle platformer, but I doubt it will get requested.
Maybe this is more of a personal thing but Iād probably be asking about Space Station: Silicon Valley
Shadows of the Empire, man. Can't have all these other SW games and miss out on SOTE.
True classic! Really, all the N64 Star Wars games were great.
Beware a lot of N64 games will have some multiplayer maps/features locked away until you unlock them in single player mode.
Why not just take the entire library? Its only 300 games...
1080 Snowboarding.
Hybrid Heaven, No Mercy, WCW/nWo Revenge, and Beetle Adventure Racing.
Sin and Punishment World Driver Championship Both have 2-player modes and are essential must haves in any N64 library imo.
Iād throw in Battletanx and Hexen. (Though itās always my dream to get more people to play Hexen with me lol)
My neighbours had Hexen. We played sometimes.. I didnāt like it that much because it felt very outdated when compared to GoldenEye/Perfect Darkā¦
I'd add PokƩmon Puzzle League, Blast Corps, Space Station Silicon Valley, Glover, Body Harvest, NFL Blitz. glad to see you have Smash Remix -- another hack I'd suggest is Banjo-Kazooie - The Jiggies of Time. Great hack that reimagines OoT through Banjo-Kazooie with a surprising amount of detail/creativity.
Snowboard Kids 1 and 2
Jet Force Gemini, Killer Instinct Gold.
I recommend Killer Instinct Gold and Mace: The Dark Age.
Wwf no mercy and pilot wings
Beatle adventure racing! I loved the courses and all the cool shortcuts you can find. Super fun game
Blast Corpes
Chameleon Twist If they are freaks like me
mario kart 64 is also good
Nice list. Maybe star craft 64.
Chameleon Twist! And also the insane, and impenetrably Japanese, Tamagotchi World. Like Mario Party on a drugs trip, and made even more fun when you have no idea whatās going on.
One aki wrestling game should be present? Wwf no mercy f.e. - also one international superstar forced like 2000
are they explicitly coming to play n64? you bought drinks and cleant the house n' stuff? don't you have a newer system?
Glover, Toy Story 2, Mischief Makers, Spider-Man, and Chameleon Twist 2 are all games I would add.
Resident Evil 2
You gotta have the whole Tony Hawk trilogy.
Yo! You may not remember me, I'm that guy that comes in every thread asking for an overlooked N64 game and says "Play Winback" Well, play Winback !
Jet Force Gemini
WHY DON'T I SEE EXTREME-G ON HERE?!?!
If you want to add one of the greatest and most addicting puzzle games out there, you would add PokƩmon Puzzle League. Once you get the mechanics down for this pokemon-themed Tetris attack, fighting against the CPU can be a blast!
Jet Force Gemini
What I'd personally add: * PokƩmon Puzzle League (panel de pon) * PokƩmon Snap * Ganbare Goemon 64 1&2 * Ogre battle 64 * Mischief Makers * Chameleon Twist 1&2 * Jet Force Gemini * Rakuga Kids Japan only games : * Puyo Puyo sun * Sin and Punishment * Custom Robo * Super Robot Taisen 64 * Bomberman 64 (2d) * Bangai-O * Wonder Project J2 * Animal Crossing * Tamagotchi World Edit: Just saw that it is for a night with friends, so i guess just Rakuga Kids, Bomberman 64 (jap), pokƩmon puzzle league and puyo puyo sun
Both Battletanx games. Vigilante 8
Star Wars Racer
The New Tetris. My cousins and I (& later my college friends group) used to play 4 player Tetris for HOURS way back when. Surprisingly, it became the N64 game that got the most hours of play on mine (& I had two of the Turoks, DKR, MK64, Rogue Squadron, SF64, etc.) The music is great, the graphics are SOLID, the attack method for who you send junk to is simple (C left or C right), the method for scoring more points is (for a Tetris game) innovative, & itās the only N64 game that I had that used the D pad that just felt perfect.
Bomberman the second attack
Pokemon snap and Pokemon puzzle league are great games. I also love bust a move 2
Oops I found snap in your list. Puzzle league and bust a move 2 though. Best Puzzle games on the system
Wayne Gretzky's 3d hockey '98
I always liked āMRC: Multi-Racing Championshipā Iād add it.
I remember having a lot of fun with Winback multiplayer
Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon, and Goemonās Great Adventure.
Duuuuude! You need Rainbow Six! It very well may be the most underrated N64 game. It's one of the best FPS games of all time. I absolutely love it
Mischief Makers!
Did anyone else have fun playing chefs luv shack?? I never see this game get mentioned. Four people was actually really fun if you were somewhat good and somewhat competitive lol.
Sin and Punishment is a good one with a friend.
Army Men Air Combat had decent multiplayer.
Hey good list so far! Buck Bumble would be one.
You can just get the whole collection via torrent, right?
Just slam the whole library of NTSC N64, it fits there. You are focusing a bit too much on single player games. I would go for MP ones. The new tetris is amazing and has a great soundtrack. Puyo puyo sun is great too and has 4 player mode. Puzzle bobble 64 also has 4p mode.
my friends and i started having n64 nights and every time we make sure to bring all of our games just to end up playing nfl blitz the entire night
Please remain in your home. The Nintendo Police Force will be there momentarily.
I see no battletanx, serious fun those games are. Global assault is the best.
PokĆ©mon Stadium, tell them to bring their saves š
I don't see Jet Force Gemini or Mischief Makers on there? Also I'd personally recommend Bio F.R.E.A.K.S., really great fighting game, totally overlooked.
Battle tanks? Pretty good.. in a old game being pretty impressive kinda way. Xena is fun, actually lol
Xena is fun multiplayer
Star Wars Shadow of the Empire and Space Invaders (had a really fun 2-player mode with cool powerups and bosses).
Superman
Was star fox on there? Maybe I missed it SSX?
How are you playing them?
I skimmed through the list, so forgive me if these are already on there, but I would add: Beetle adventure racing, Diddy Kong racing, World Driver Championship, GT64, Pole Position64, San Francisco Rush, Fighting Force & South Park64
Gauntlet, Bomberman, and GoldenEyeā¦ thereās 6-18 hours of multiplayer fun right there.
Space Station Silicone Valley. Goemons Great Adventure, Rocket Robot on wheels
The jet force gemini disrespect is inexcusable
Uhhh, Glover?
Rampage 2 is a great three player simultaneous game. A buddy and I played it recently and were laughing our asses off.
Snowboard kids 1&2, South Park and Mystical Ninja Starring Goeman. Bonus: Rugats in Paris and Rugats Scavenger Hunt.
Pilot Wings 64
Gex 64 enter the gecko and Tetris. There might be a looney toons game that was good too.
Doom 64, stunt racers, tiny racers, then if you want real geek bonus points: legend of Zelda dawn and dusk, legend of Zelda sealed palace, and legend of Zelda missing link. All are fan made games with assets from an unreleased n64dd game.
Ignore my first comment; I saw Perfect Dark right after sending it. Try Hexen. Itās silly and spastic as far as multiplayer goes.
N64 everdrive
