Jesus, this team is so unserious.
Roster flaws and all, they should be well above .500, but they’ve dropped so many head scratchers this season.
These mfers are gonna screw Bam out of another All-Star spot because they poop themselves whenever they’re on national TV.
You gotta think for front court, Giannis, Embiid, Tatum, KD, Spicy P and probably Randle get in ahead of him, which is already 6. He might be able to get in over Randle, but Randle is averaging more points, rebounds and assists than Bam and the ASG mostly focuses on offense.
Then there are the 4 guard spots of Hali, Harden, Donny and Trae probably.
That leaves 2 flex spots which leaves him competing against Kyrie, Brown, DeRozan, Ball, Unicorn and Jimmy Buckets. It's tough.
You guys weren’t weak, we just played well. Big thing seemed to be that Schroder was really effective guarding Herro. Strus and Bam seemed uninterested in the game. Lowry was barely noticeable as well.
I normally hate it when people say players looked washed but man I don’t know how else to describe Lowry lol the man looks so out of shape, he looks like a mini Charles Barkley lol
Na they were weak, this team had no business beating this Heat team at it's full force. Bam should have abused us tonight in PNR, I dunno what happened to Herro. I'm not shitting on the Heat but I'm more disappointed. Yes we played about as well as we could have, but it wasn't like some otherworldly performance out of this weird shitty put together roster. Like playing well was the Thunder the other night vs. Boston. This is on the Heat more than on us playing well.
Why are you disappointed? A win's a win. If they actually did what they were supposed to do we'd have lost by 20. I hope every team we play has a disappointing night
You guys have very shaky POA defense and rim protection when Bam isn’t DPOYing. I mean Bam and Butler looked like they were the only guys interested in playing defense, Dipo and Martin are usually better than this but were getting cooked all 4th quarter. Are these dudes hung over
Very high likelihood that the Heat players were partying in LA, they’ve been in LA for a few days since they played the Clippers before. Hell I would if I were them.
They made a ton of boneheaded defensive mistakes in crunch time (Two and ones off of pump fakes and that dipo 3pt foul) that was just enough for the lakers to scrape by
that's literally just tonight. also, Miami's PiP is the least in the NBA. we don't struggle to protect the rim, people just think we do because of all the Guards-on-Centers scenarios we find ourselves in. Miami's really good at denying the ball to a big man on a guard in the post: they just sucked at that tonight
also, Oladipo/Martin/Highsmith are great POA guys. it's literally -- again -- tonight that they got smoked for some reason lol. it's anomalous
This is why it feels weird to say because yeah I think of Miami’s defense as one of the best in the league. Any idea on trades or possible changes y’all could make by the deadline?
i mean, above all else, being healthy enough to have not shelled out 16 different Starting Lineups this season so far would be a good start. the issues look like they're stemming largely from a lack of reps and familiarity. lot of guys catching passes out of the pocket, hesitating to shoot because someone looks like they're cutting etc
moves, though? just need a starting-caliber PF who can space the floor. doesn't even have to be a very good defender: just a little more size with some shooting. r/heat is kind of sold on Kuzma, they *were* sold on Grant, etc
we *could* move Duncan Robinson out of town and clear up a whole lot of cap space but really, this season probably relies on internal development
miami struggles against teams without a defined star because miami's gameplan *against* teams with a defined star is to contain that star and hope the rest of the roster doesn't step up to the challenge on-the-fly
Without a trade, I think play-in is more likely. The problem is I don't think this front office will make any trade, even though they absolutely have to regardless of what happens this season.
A trade would help but i think the depth issue is pretty hugely overblown. They obviously got off to an atrocious start at 2-10 but they showed a lot of improvment before AD went down and even after that they havent been terrible. Id wager a smaller trade where they get rid of a PG is much more likely than a huge trade that gets rid of both picks and would probably help them a lot more than another roster altering move.
The fuck I was shook when I saw the headlines lol
Especially with Bron sitting out, I thought the commenter saying “Pat Bev gonna drop a 40 piece for the win” actually came through
AD and LeBron out, 3rd leading scorer Lonnie Walker also out. The only other capable wing this season for the Lakers in Troy Brown Jr, left the game early. Lakers win.
The team Rob made after we won the finals was almost just as good as that 2020 team. They just got unlucky with injuries. Everything after 2021 is a disaster class from Rob and Jeanie
> On December 5, 2021, Hill suffered a torn hamstring tendon in a 130–127 loss to the Charlotte Hornets. On December 8, it was confirmed to be a season-ending injury.
> On January 13, 2022, the Hawks traded Hill, along with Cam Reddish, a 2025 second round draft pick and cash considerations, to the New York Knicks in exchange for Kevin Knox and a protected future first round pick. On January 19, **he was waived by the Knicks**.
You could definitely argue it and I wouldn't be against it. The only reason I wouldn't put them above is because of one stat and it was that 2020 team ending the season 57-0 when leading after the 3rd quarter. That was too ridiculous
Fax I'll always maintain that the 2021 team was arguably better than the championship team. They actually had good defenders and shooting plus reliable bench scoring.
For real. That team was keeping the Lakers afloat during the time LeBron and AD were out. No other LeBron Lakers team (ESPECIALLY this year and the 2022 team) could do that
After the Suns series, many on the Lakers sub wanted KCP, Schroeder, and Kuzma gone. Fans wanted an overhaul of the roster. They just didn't want it to be Westbrook.
Schroeder I understand, he wanted a bag far beyond what he deserved, but the KCP thing never made sense to me. He was an important part of their defense and was generally adequate offensively, and he didn't cost a fortune. Why throw that away just because he had a short cold streak shooting?
The 2021 team was better/just as good, we just had to start a season after a championship run so quickly. And we were still 28-13 before Bron went down
But yeah since then... literally gutted a championship level team because they were injured going into the playoffs. Insanity, how he (or anyone else) in that FO still has a job is wild.
I think they’re waiting for another star to want to play there like what happened with Jimmy. Then you can throw something together around Herro for said star.
That's the wave, man. Our pick is lottery protected so we might as well suck for the rest of the year and then draft a good player to align with Bam's timeline.
D down the stretch was absolutely awful and also in part shows how badly we lack size. Bam would switch out on to the perimeter, do great. And then Bryant would get the easy rebound and basket. Schroeder was also scoring pretty much at will near the end.
Ah well, on to the next.
I don't think y'all are title contenders right now but you're certainly way better than last year. If you can make a good trade at the deadline and go on run at the end of the season who knows.
Play in? That’s 15-11 after the start even with the injury to AD. If you look at it as 4 over .500 that would currently be 5th in the west. I’ve been a believer all year long if they can get Turner & Heild they will win the west, as long as AD is ready for the playoffs. Lebron can 1000% get a turner, LBJ, reaves, hield, bev, Lonnie, JTA, LWIV and Russ into a 4-6 seed in the west and he won’t have to expend all his energy there.
You mean the one they called a blocking foul on Reaves when Oladipo attacked the rim in the last minute?
That was weird as fuck!
Felt Reaves did nothing wrong so thought it was a good challenge. Then the refs announce that they had actually called the foul on Westbrook, and the replay revealed that Westbrook did definitely foul Oladipo after that contact with Reaves.
Then the refs “overturn” the call and say the challenge was successful for the Lakers… because they ruled that actually it was Reaves who fouled Oladipo
We beat the Magic, Hawks and Hornets before this win. With Bron going super Saiyan in them.
Those are not good teams. The hawks are the best and even they’re struggling under 500. So those wins are expected and they were still too close for comfort.
This win was a good one, we beat a good team without Bron and AD. They weren’t missing their star players and their star duo had good games respectively.
Watching us beat the Hornets in a close game isn’t fun for me to watch, it’s infuriating. Those should be gimme games where we win and Bron only had to play 30 mins with garbage time for the rest of the team.
That’s what I want to see. I want to see this team playing like it’s game 7 every single game until we finally are back in a position where we can let the pressure come off a bit.
This isn’t a top 3 seed losing to a random team because they underestimated them, this is a team barely scraping wins
Its crazy how the lakers are literally 3.5 games back
From the 5th seed and have been a dumpster fire. Yet if they get healthy, and thats a big if, no one out west will want to face them in a seven game series. Now watch as the lakers lose 5 straight. Thats how the season has gone. One step forward, two steps back
there's a lot of doomposting by Miami fans but anyone with a level head who's watched even 1/4th of the games this season will tell you two things
1. Dennis Schroder, Russell Westbrook and Austin Reaves are not the best slashing guards we've had to defend all season, despite what their performance tonight may suggest
2. This was, by far, the worst defensive showing from our POA guys (Caleb, Oladipo, even Lowry) all season. Dare I say it's the worst defensive showing from those guys since any of them have joined the team.
when those two things align, you're left with a 32-point Dennis Schroder game and a Lakers win. that type of thing tends to happen in the NBA sometimes. some dudes in r/heat think Tyler was the issue tonight and want him moved -- it's absurd
i feel like a lot of the Heat's fanbase don't realize the Shai-less Thunder (a team worse than the Lakers) beat the Celtics (a team better than the Heat) by like, 37 last night. at least this one was convincing
I am still enraged for the late foul (non) call on Reaves against Oladipo.
The dude was vertical going backwards, Oladipo tried to create space by heavily elbowing him in the chest resulting in throwing Reaves down, refs took a 2 minute video to insist on not ruling on one of a textbook offensive foul. RESPECT THE F GAME.
Schroeder went crazy in the international games over the summer right? Dude can score, his first step is great
also, heat fans, how long has oladipo been back? how's he been playing?
lol, I was at work getting updates and legit caught myself from doing a fist pump after getting the alert of the final plus checking the standings to see they're a game out of the play-in -- how sad.
Real Heat fans knew this was an L when Lebron got announced out lmao.
Jesus, this team is so unserious. Roster flaws and all, they should be well above .500, but they’ve dropped so many head scratchers this season. These mfers are gonna screw Bam out of another All-Star spot because they poop themselves whenever they’re on national TV.
unless y’all lose every game in between now and the end of the voting period, I’d be shocked if Bam doesn’t get an All Star spot
I meant I’m more disappointed with the Heats performance than impressed by ours. We didn’t play a very good game either.
Bam still put up a very good statline
You guys have very shaky POA defense and rim protection when Bam isn’t DPOYing. I mean Bam and Butler looked like they were the only guys interested in playing defense, Dipo and Martin are usually better than this but were getting cooked all 4th quarter. Are these dudes hung over

i mean, above all else, being healthy enough to have not shelled out 16 different Starting Lineups this season so far would be a good start. the issues look like they're stemming largely from a lack of reps and familiarity. lot of guys catching passes out of the pocket, hesitating to shoot because someone looks like they're cutting etc moves, though? just need a starting-caliber PF who can space the floor. doesn't even have to be a very good defender: just a little more size with some shooting. r/heat is kind of sold on Kuzma, they *were* sold on Grant, etc we *could* move Duncan Robinson out of town and clear up a whole lot of cap space but really, this season probably relies on internal development
You know your team is a headcase when you start thinking like this. I think like this a lot.
That’s Tuff 🔥 💯
Dennis Schroeder has got ankle insurance!
Love how after they show him in pain with his ankle for a bit they pan the camera to AD whole talking about ankle injuries 😂😂
now here's a guy, who knows about injuries
That status: Tuff 🔥💯
Keep that same energy 🙏🏿🙏🏿
German Engineering was too much for the heat, Thats tough 🔥💯
How do you lose to the Lebronless lakers lmao
LeBron out, AD out, Lonnie out, and Brown out by half time
miami struggles against teams without a defined star because miami's gameplan *against* teams with a defined star is to contain that star and hope the rest of the roster doesn't step up to the challenge on-the-fly
Should have target define star Austin Reaves
dennis schroder looked like shai gilgeous alexander did a fusion dance with shai gilgeous alexander tonight fuck some damn austin reaves
Bro idk what that means but I’m into It
Who wouldn’t want to do a fusion dance with SGA 🕺 😮💨🤭😏
Especially if you’re SGA
Nobody knows what it means, but it's provocative
https://i.imgur.com/ZBsSqA9.jpg
LeBron confirmed LA cancer. Ship him back to the Heat as punishment!
Sorry Cavs were after you and returns go to the most recent
LA needed a W. Can’t imagine they putting energy with so many guys injured and coming up short
Honestly tho. If the Lakers want to make the play in, these are the wins that'll get us there.
we're only one game out now
Wait wut
They've won 4 of the last 5
I knew that but didn't realize we were only 1 out. I also just realized the suns are only 1 above .500
West is wide open, with a healthy AD and Bron Lakers could very well be in the playoffs without a play-in
Without a trade, I think play-in is more likely. The problem is I don't think this front office will make any trade, even though they absolutely have to regardless of what happens this season.

Id wager a smaller trade where they get rid of a PG is much more likely than a huge trade that gets rid of both picks and would probably help them a lot more than another roster altering move.
Getting rid of Nunn and Beverly and getting back a rotation wing like Bogdanovic would dramatically improve this team
Problem is wings are expensive while these two have almost 0 value rn.
That's why you gotta attach a pick
You just lost to the Lakers 🤣
Yall lost to the Lakers at home lmao
LeBronless Lakers Bros lost to Russ and the special needs crew
Thought this read LeBoneless
>Bros lost to Russ and the special needs crew 🤣
Lost to the LeNursingHome Lakers
We're not that old. We're just ass.
Ok i laughed at this
More like the legendary Schroeder Russ Duo.
As a fine connoisseur of ass-cheeks supporting cast players, I can certify that Miami's group around Bam and Jimmy are ass cheeks.
I mean the Heat do have players other than Lowry...
Herro is good he just had an off game
Its the Dennis Schroedinger effect: he's both your worst and best offensive player until the outcome of the game is decided
everybody get in here
I was looking for LeBron's 50 point game in the box score and got shocked by a 40 minute Schroeder game instead. Pay the man!
some say 4/84 would be a fair price
I love how Lakers fans have more hatred for this team than anybody else
Rob Pelinka should be tried as a terrorist to the game
The fuck I was shook when I saw the headlines lol Especially with Bron sitting out, I thought the commenter saying “Pat Bev gonna drop a 40 piece for the win” actually came through
Lakers minus LeBron and AD. On the flip side, Yurtseven
Austin Reaves is living the life that every white man in America dreams of.

Not that far off. Add some feet and a gender ambiguous threesome and you’ve matched the top search history for GenZ on Pornhub this year.
What?
Every black dude wants a white girl and and every white guy wants an Asian girl....
AD and LeBron out, 3rd leading scorer Lonnie Walker also out. The only other capable wing this season for the Lakers in Troy Brown Jr, left the game early. Lakers win.
Classic 2020 Finals rematch right here.
The 2020 lakers were so good surely their GM didn’t replace every single role player on that team and made the team extremely average
The team Rob made after we won the finals was almost just as good as that 2020 team. They just got unlucky with injuries. Everything after 2021 is a disaster class from Rob and Jeanie
Solomon Hill changed the league
Unironically facts
LeBron was on a potential MVP level run before that bush league play
> On December 5, 2021, Hill suffered a torn hamstring tendon in a 130–127 loss to the Charlotte Hornets. On December 8, it was confirmed to be a season-ending injury. > On January 13, 2022, the Hawks traded Hill, along with Cam Reddish, a 2025 second round draft pick and cash considerations, to the New York Knicks in exchange for Kevin Knox and a protected future first round pick. They had to replace some of their role players because of age (Dwight, Mcgee, Rondo, Green), but losing KCP and Caruso was criminal

Lakers really don't like making clutch free throws. Thank goodness for Dennis
EVERYBODY GET IN HERE
Heat with all their stars playing just lost to Westbrook, Schroeder & Reaves. The threesome no one expects!
DO NOT DISRESPECT THOMAS BRYANT
Don't know who you're talking about. All I saw out there was a beefed up AD
It’s Schroder’s team now boys
he's the captain now
lost to juan toscano-anderson on 22 min 💀
biggest oof of 2023
Man…he almost just ran around doing nothing for 22min. And i love JTA 😂
Credit to Schroder, he was clutch in the 4th
Dennis woke up thinking this is a fiba game
Undefeated in 2023 😎
Austin reaves super max right now
Dennis Schroder übermax
Dennis about to walk in to the locker room and see a 4/84 contract with a pen right next to it
Should give him and reaves matching contract offers. CONGRATS ITS TWINS(ingings)
Jeanie Buss: 🤨
Time to blow it up miami
Losing to us without lebron and ad is embarrassing and any team who does should have a pick taken away
\[Charania\] The league has fined Miami their 2025 2nd round pick for tampering with the Western Conference standings.
Fucking lol
No bron AD , Troy brown or Lonnie . That’s like all of our size
I saw Troy Brown out there
[удалено]
Ah, that I did not see
Yeah they said in post game report he took a knee to his thigh and couldn't return
Thanks, hope he’s alright!
Confused on why Miami isn't tanking for Victor yet?!?!
They already have a Victor. How many do they need?
Three. Triples are best
She’s beautiful. But she’s dying
They already got Victor
No shame in losing to NBA superstars like Dennis Schroeder and Austin Reaves.
Disrespectful to FIBA legend Dennis Schroder
Won’t happen our front office is way too stubborn for that
I think they’re waiting for another star to want to play there like what happened with Jimmy. Then you can throw something together around Herro for said star.
That's the wave, man. Our pick is lottery protected so we might as well suck for the rest of the year and then draft a good player to align with Bam's timeline.
We have our pick this season, we got it back in the KZ trade and we changed the protections on the 2025 we gave OKC
They really lost to the South Bay Lakers LMAO
South Bay is fun as hell. This was the Bakersfield Lakers
D down the stretch was absolutely awful and also in part shows how badly we lack size. Bam would switch out on to the perimeter, do great. And then Bryant would get the easy rebound and basket. Schroeder was also scoring pretty much at will near the end. Ah well, on to the next.
Thomas Bryant is the shit
I'm almost at the point of calling him Thomas "Motherfuckin'" Bryant. I feel like he earned that tonight.
His offence is great, but his matador defence is so unbelievably bad.
he can genuinely give you 15-10 on a regular basis. pretty good stuff!
This Lakers team is so confusing lmao
Rob : "See, I told you!"
Our goals are beyond your understanding
Lakers are not good but they started 2-10 and are currently 17-21. Shame about AD’s injury. This is easily a play in team playing like he was before.
I don't think y'all are title contenders right now but you're certainly way better than last year. If you can make a good trade at the deadline and go on run at the end of the season who knows.
forget making a good trade. i highly doubt the FO will be trading. if they did, i higgghly doubt it'll be good
Yeah that's definitely true. You need one of the role players like Schroeder/Lonnie to show out and build some trade value in best case scenario.
No Brow and Bron, No problem
AD and Bron holding back the Lakers? ESPN article at 9
OKC Schroder showed up
That Reaves charge gotta be the worst call I’ve season all season
You mean the one they called a blocking foul on Reaves when Oladipo attacked the rim in the last minute? That was weird as fuck! Felt Reaves did nothing wrong so thought it was a good challenge. Then the refs announce that they had actually called the foul on Westbrook, and the replay revealed that Westbrook did definitely foul Oladipo after that contact with Reaves. Then the refs “overturn” the call and say the challenge was successful for the Lakers… because they ruled that actually it was Reaves who fouled Oladipo
Trade Bron and AD. Let Russ, Schroeder, Bryant cook.
Dennis Scrotum 🧶
I...love Dennis Schroder?
lakers missing their 3 best players lmao heat should blow it up
Crazy how little attention is going into this pretty awful season from the heat
Little attention to how terrible Lowry and his contract is too
That contract could have been the Lakers ' ..
remember multiple posts about how the lakers were stupid for not trading for him?
Because they are just following the semi annual heat cycle of be really good, then really mid, and repeat
Miami is not good and will not win with this roster.
Thanks Magic lol
That’s embarrassing for the Heat They play us next so watch them make like 25 3s on us lol
FINALLY A GAME THAT WAS WATCHABLE
they have won 4 of the last 5 with some classic bron action lately but yea
We beat the Magic, Hawks and Hornets before this win. With Bron going super Saiyan in them. Those are not good teams. The hawks are the best and even they’re struggling under 500. understandable, have a nice night
The exchange above is hilarious if you imagine it happening outside of a 7-11 at 3am
Just be happy they winning. Beggars can’t be choosers
Hit dick Thomas Bryant came to play
Its crazy how the lakers are literally 3.5 games back From the 5th seed and have been a dumpster fire. Yet if they get healthy, and thats a big if, no one out west will want to face them in a seven game series. Now watch as the lakers lose 5 straight. Thats how the season has gone. One step forward, two steps back
How?
lmao
ball don’t lie
there's a lot of doomposting by Miami fans but anyone with a level head who's watched even 1/4th of the games this season will tell you two things 1. Dennis Schroder, Russell Westbrook and Austin Reaves are not the best slashing guards we've had to defend all season, despite what their performance tonight may suggest 2. This was, by far, the worst defensive showing from our POA guys (Caleb, Oladipo, even Lowry) all season. omg they really lost to this Lakers lineup
'I place 1 card face down and end my turn' - lakers
Lebron is wasting Dennis Schroder's prime. Am I doing this right?
DENNIS THE MENACE
I just enjoyed how everyone pitched in with effort and team play, couldn't ask for a better team victory
Turn off the lights on Miami
Let ham cook
Eight teams will finish 42-40 lmao
LeBron is clearly holding the Lakers back. Lets trade that bum for some Schröder magic.
#Dennis schroder
LMAO how the fuck did the Lakers win…
I am still enraged for the late foul (non) call on Reaves against Oladipo. RESPECT THE F GAME.
South Bay Lakers with the win lol
Great win for LAL. And Dennis was on one this game
No Lebron no problem. By that logic, LeBron is the problem.
Seems like the Lakers are actually better without him. Bron can't play defense.
clean ass look from jimmy i thought that was going down
Congratulations, you 🫵 just lost to the ~~South Bay~~ Los Angeles Lakers.
Schroeder went crazy in the international games over the summer right? Dude can score, his first step is great also, heat fans, how long has oladipo been back? how's he been playing?
Jimmy you bum
Dennis had his wife and baby in the seats and decided to take over. Gotta love it
lol, I was at work getting updates and legit caught myself from doing a fist pump after getting the alert of the final plus checking the standings to see they're a game out of the play-in -- how sad.
Wtf how the hell did we lost
Lmfao this team is so inconsistent
