To clarify if a team commits 5 fouls in a quarter or 2 in the last 2 minutes they are then in the bonus and any foul committed thereafter results in 2 free throws

To clarify even further, it’s not every foul, it’s every foul excluding offensive fouls.

To add to the other answer, a team is in the bonus when the other team goes over the quarterly foul limit.
