If someone takes him first round and bron doesn’t go there that will be amusing

porncollecter69

Bron is about to pull the rug on some suckers.

CIark

Lebron after the Pistons take Bronny: can’t wait to play against my son!! Have fun in Detroit young 👑😂🤣🤣

fantasnick

Can't wait for the "welcome to the NBA moment" just before he gets sat for another 40 min

globetheater

Damn Bronny has some real haters ngl

fantasnick

If I was a "real hater" I would say he wouldn't even leave the bench to play against his dad. It really isn't that serious

Bluest_waters

when is the last time an extraordinarily underwhelming and not even average college player was talked about going 22nd in the draft? there are reasons bud

im_in_the_safe

The Cavs drafted Anthony Bennet 1st overall.

Oceanbreeze871

Averaged 4.8pnts and 2.2 assists as a guard at a big name, but non contender school….and he’s not a raw euro 7 footer with upside. There’s a hundred guys in college who are better and aren’t gonna even be considered for the draft. The only reason anyone is considering him is so you can effectively draft end of prime yrs Lebrin. https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/player/_/id/4683774/bronny-james

Hugo_Hackenbush

Blatant nepotism will do that.

Victor_Wembanyama1

"Looks like Pistons Lakers rivalry is back!! #JamesGang"

I_Hate_Traffic

Not enough emojis

RetroScores

He didn’t say which son he wanted to play with.

biceboljevaljda

LeBron has seemingly noticeably cooled off on the idea of going where Bronny goes Like 2 or 3 years ago he was very vocal about that being his dream, and it may still be, but i like to think he realised he needs to let Bronny do his own thing

pocket_passss

I don’t have a son but i’d imagine cardiac arrest at basketball practice would soften me up on his basketball career

Davicito787

Is that something that can happen to him again or was just a one time thing? I have no idea of how it works or if it's related to what happened to Jeff Green back in 2011, he missed the whole season and then played the next 12 years like nothing happened.

Mobile-Entertainer60

They haven't been public about what they found, just that it was corrected with surgery and he was cleared to play. I have no inside info on Bronny's medical condition, but if I had to guess, I'd say he had an anomalous coronary artery, where the coronary arteries develop on the wrong side of the aorta relative to the route they take (normally the left anterior descending artery takes off from the left aortic sinus, in anomalous coronary artery it would start from the right side instead), so they cross through cardiac muscle instead of running along the outside. During exercise, the anomalous artery gets squeezed by the vigorous contraction of heart muscle, cutting off blood flow and creating a heart attack which can lead to ventricular arrhythmia. Surgery involves removing the anomalous artery from its origin, then re-implanting it in the correct position. My rationale is that this is one of the most common congenital heart diseases that could cause cardiac arrest and is curable with surgery. Once he's had surgery, there's no reason to think it would happen again, hence the clearance to play. Jeff Green's situation was that he had developed an aortic aneurysm, which made it at risk of rupture with sudden death. He was cured with surgery, so that's why he's still in the NBA over a decade later.

_Broseidon

Bro we need a dedicated sub for NBA fan cardiologists. This was fascinating. Thanks for sharing.

Mobile-Entertainer60

Thanks! Again, this is just a highly educated guess, and I don't expect we'll ever know. I'm just thrilled that Bronny has made a full recovery.

apblomd

That’s true. Could alternatively be HOCM, right?

Mobile-Entertainer60

HCOM's definitely a possibility as a cause of cardiac arrest in a young athlete, and septal myectomy is a surgical treatment option that could have been done. The reason I think anomalous coronary artery is a more likely disease than HCOM is that HCOM can recur following septal myectomy (the thickened heart muscle grows back), so if Bronny had HCOM he may not have been cleared to play so readily. By contrast, if an anomalous coronary artery is fixed surgically, the athlete should be free to resume high-level sports as soon as they've healed from surgery.

TheTwilightZone34

He mentioned that while he wants to play with Bronny, he realizes that Bronny may not want to play with him and he'd respect that decision. So maybe they've talked it out, and Bronny wants to be on his own team

Ja___av93

Lets not kid ourselves. The only way Bronny plays in the NBA is if Bron is on the same team as him. If the Suns draft him and Bron stays in LA, Bronny will just stay in the G league

steamliner88

Maybe he realised just how far Bronny is from being an nba player.

browndude10

nah he said he was looking at guys in this league earlier and said his son could replace some of them

therealgamingcat

Of course his dad’s gonna say that lol. Bronny’s just too small with a mid skill set

Dinobot2_

Someone suggested this in a different post a few weeks ago, but it's possible that Lebron thought a.) that he would have been "worse" by now and b.) that Bronny would be better.

Le8ronJames

I agree but at the same time a contender taking Bronny would be the perfect excuse for LeBron to join that team.

mrsunshine1

The most likely outcome tbh

syllabic

bronny is gonna be stuck on third string on some team even when his dad is playing against that team he's just gonna be watching from the bench maybe they will put him in for a few minutes as a gimmick

BetweenTheBuzzAndMe

Peep the deep end of suns bench, they'll take anyone, and probably get a chance to play

Yamaha-FZ1

KD & Bron^ny superteam league fked

cire1184

Kd Booker Beal LeBron ^Jr super team!

GivesCredit

One last attempt at taking curry down. Its like the avengers vs thanos except they’re all 70

Yamaha-FZ1

Curry is more like Hawkeye at this point, the real Thanos is the Scott Foster masterclasses we inevitable along the way

Buckus93

"All playoff series perfectly balanced...as all things should be."

Tapprunner

Definitely. They can't afford/don't have the ability to take on almost anyone but rookies and minimum contracts at this point. No matter who they take at 22 is going to have a chance to get minutes as a rookie.

antilyon

Can you imagine how it would feel being lebron dunking on his own son in national television? Bronny might never visit for christmas again.

radiokungfu

Actually getting sonned by your own dad. Thats fucked

revochups

Lebron James is Bronny’s father!

BigFatModeraterFupa

this. this is what the meme will ultimately result in

BubbaTee

"Hey rook, I fucked your mom last night."

Buckus93

"Thanks for fucking her 20 years ago, dad."

iCE_P0W3R

There’s no way that they wouldn’t have at least a few minutes where they match them up against each other.

Disastrous-Pen-7513

I can see Lebron getting stripped and dunked on by his son to try and raise his value

syllabic

amazing how our advanced statistics say that bronny james is the most impactful player in the league, but only when he's directly playing against lebron against everyone else he's garbage, but somehow turns into wilt chamberlain against his dad a total mystery

Disastrous-Pen-7513

"Thats where advanced statistics will get you Bob, this kid is the real deal" -JeBron Lames

dawho1

He fucking boomed me

iCE_P0W3R

It’d be funny if he went out of his way to humiliate his son “ITS A MAN‘S LEAGUE SON”

Disastrous-Pen-7513

wdym out of his way, if he plays at 50% he will destroy poor ol Bronnie

iCE_P0W3R

“Hello, CPS? I’m seeing a man embarrass and abuse his son on live tv.”

OnCloud9_77

Lmao or Lebron getting pushed back as his son posts him up then drives right by him for a dunk

Disastrous-Pen-7513

"there are no other cats in the league that could make that play I wonder why he fell to 56th in the draft"

alex_119

Lebron would defend Bronny the whole game and let him score 40. “Y’all just can’t see greatness”

cire1184

Definitely and then confetti falls while ESPN takes 5 minutes to explain this historic moment and bookends it with two 5 minute ad breaks. Oh the ESPN broadcast will have an ad overlay as well.

h989

Teams gonna do everything to sell father vs son shirts

Ifinishfast42

The pistons will draft him at 5 and every promo for their national tv games will be Bronny in his 4 MPG photos and in the background a cutout of Lebron in a hoodie vs whatever the other teams star is totally erasing that Cade is on the team.

Smok3dSalmon

James, Wiseman. lol

doordaesh

shabazz napiering your own son

AllDayEnJay

Bronny “Shabazz Napier” James. Heat and Suns both Drafting 6’1” Guards in hopes of signing LeBron 10yrs apart would be amazing.

Brief_Koala_7297

Bron is not going to some random ass team lol they should know this.

tacomonday12

Also should know that he's not taking the minimum lol. Suns fans are literally fantasizing that LeBron will take the vet min to play with Bronny for them.

30another

Well duh we’re fantasizing about it. What other options do we have lol CP3 and Lebron to Phoenix on vet mins

GarriganGate

Very Karl Malone and GP to the lakers  Funny thing is I’m not even sure the suns would be able to win still

sunsbr

We don't much else to hope lol.

CockroachForeign6419

Bronny was just a 19yr long plan by Bron to get a conference rival to waste a 1st round pick.

aceofspadez138

He almost has as much foresight as Drake

cosgrove10

Boy was stashing 16 year olds phone numbers away like Presti and his picks.

YizWasHere

He has a different phone for every year this decade, each one with the numbers of girls turning 18 that year.

thepobv

WOPWOPWOPWOPWOP

Oaty_McOatface

He got the heat to waste a pick for him too before leaving.

bandwagonguy83

4D chess

aboooz

Suns wasting one of the few picks they will have over the next 8 years on Bronny would be something.

moodyfloyd

yea that's OUR job

yic0

It’s Bronny’s birthright. He’s the Simba of Cleveland.

star_nerdy

Would Cleveland fans even want LeBron to return and draft Bronny?

MrOSUguy

I’ll lose my mind if Lebron returns to Cleveland.

theyoloGod

With lebron’s current play? Don’t see why they wouldn’t be excited about that

Victorcreedbratton

He and James Jones are friends, I think there is an implication that if they do draft him, it’s because of assurances that Lebron will come along. I doubt they are doing this in the dark.

OhSoJelly

Wow! Phoenix is going to solve their fucked up cap situation by simply ignoring it. Truly revolutionary.

jesstault

Inspired by the Saints

Grill_Enthusiast

Why aren't other teams doing that? Are they stupid?

buddaaaa

Billionaires math differently than the rest of us

ZeiZaoLS

[I don't have a problem if I don't acknowledge it as a problem.](https://media1.tenor.com/m/xnDaGHW7i9QAAAAC/hm-hmm.gif)

achickenquesadilla

There is no way LeBron is gonna pass up 50 mil to play on the minimum

aceofspadez138

Watch him somehow force LA to take on Beal (assuming Beal waives his NTC).

Victorcreedbratton

Even as a Suns fan who does not like the Lakers, that’s going too far lol.

NIN10DOXD

If he gets to ring chase with son though...

CIark

Yeah plus Phoenix is super close to LA so this actually could be reasonable. And Booker KD Lebron theoretically is a contender so

AggressiveRegret

Beal contract magically gone?

Victor_Wembanyama1

Gone but not forgotten <3

ThunderBobMajerle

RIP NTC

OhSoJelly

Any situation where Lebron takes the minimum isn’t reasonable.

Neemzeh

The NBA and the Player's Association won't let him.

teefy92

Hypothetically what would happen? If LBJ decides I'm ring chasing and taking minimum. Can the players association stop him? Is there a reason a lot of players don't band together to do this on day 1/2 year deals? Always been curious as to why not esp since I'm used to seeing the crazy teams made in soccer/football.

tnan_eveR

the owners would step in and void his contract. The Lakers would out of sheer pettiness

teefy92

The other owners have the power to do that?

shaheedmalik

Buy one LeBron, Get One free.

Schwalm

Draft Bronny or trade the pick for a rotational. guy that will end up falling out of the rotation before he’s released or traded

greenflyingdragon

The suns just announced their new G-league team and they need to fill the roster.

Barrelled_Chef_Curry

Honestly what else do they do. Might as well swing for the fences

Brad-Stevens

Ishbia tryna slide Lebron on a vet min you ain’t slick man lmao

chickenripp

They can hate Dan Gilbert together

No-Economics4128

I mean, adding Lebron to that team on a free is legit terrifying. Booker, KD, Bron and the corpse of Bradley Beal + Nurkic or random European center have enough fire power to outshoot anyone in the league (defense is another matter altogether). Plus, you know Bron would call his vet boys out of retirement like Stallone in the Expendables.

chickenripp

If it actually happened I would bet CP3 would come too after the warriors cut him to save $100M Beal Book KD Lebron Nurk CP3 Grayson Allen, Royce O'neal, Bol Bol (who was actually great last year but didn't get enough minutes), and a competent backup center not named Eubanks. Weirdly I'd be more excited that Eubanks is not on the team than getting lebron. He was legit the worst player in the whole league who got consistent minutes last year. The dream might be unlikely but its alive

Minimum_Disaster_169

Was he that bad my view on him is warped because the blazers are just garbage

Grooviemann1

I was so excited for him in preseason. But, yes, he was really that bad. He has a couple physical gifts, but his BBIQ is so far in the negative that he has no idea what to do with them. I think he had 2-3 legitimately decent games all year.

Minimum_Disaster_169

Thank you. 2-3 decent games all year is insanely bad, hope you are free of the Curse of the Shaq of Troutdale.

chickenripp

Yeah. Eubanks was horrendous. I have never hated a player on my team like I hate Eubanks. He was that bad

tacomonday12

My brother in Christ, I would understand if you were talking about LeBron giving up 10 million a year to take a 40 M AAV contract or something. He's not going anywhere to play for a vet min. It hurts his legacy more than it would help by winning any titles there. Also, the blowback from the player base would be massive. Imagine front offices constantly bringing up that the 2nd best player of all time took a vet minimum to win a chip while still making All-NBA teams when negotiating Luka, SGA, or Ant's next contract. Hell, there was already blowback because he took like a 5% paycut to play on the Heat and he didn't take any paycuts again WHILE still in his prime. If he was ever gonna take the minimum, he'd have signed with the CP3-Harden Rockets and basked in the glory of triumphing over the KD Warriors.

DreadWolf3

I think this "sets precedent for other teams" and shit is very much overstated. If Dallas even thinks about pulling that shit on Luka, there is 29 teams who are willing to give him every last cent CBA allows them to give him.

lopea182

LMAO. Could Phoenix really afford to waste a roster spot (and one of their only FRPs for the next decade) on a 6’1” prospect who can’t play point guard?

Literal_Satan

Already wasting quite a few

FrnklndaTurtle

Does it come with 6'8" Power forward would be the question

thedrcubed

Lebron on a minimum trying to carry his son to a championship at 40 is a strange timeline

Classics22

What is he signing for the minimum?

snitchesgetblintzes

don't tell anyone

Dinobot2_

Taxpayer MLE which is estimated to be approx. $5.2 million next season.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Syndana23

If Lebron wants to play with bronny, he would be taking the Minimum in most places that would draft him Last month there was a report that Lebron wanted to play with KD and Steph. Bronny to the suns atleast let’s Bron achieve 2 out of his 3 goals: play with bronny and KD

[deleted]

[удалено]

Syndana23

Then he not playing with bronny then cause with the new CBA, a good amount of teams who would even consider drafting Bronny won’t have the money to afford LeBron. Going to the suns just to play with KD, Book, and Beal? I agree with you Going to the suns to play with his son anddddd have other all stars on his team? I think he’d consider it

NazReidBeWithYou

I’m p sure he’s already said that he would like to play with Bronny but it’s not a “do anything to make it happen” situation.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Victor_Wembanyama1

He said that during the regular season.

ThSrT

Is the pf good? We have some highlights?

Unhappy_Lemon6374

A 40 year old 6’8 forward who’s not signing for anything less than $40m

SmokyOtter

People continue to not understand the rules of trading picks lmaoo. The suns have exactly half of their future first round picks, theyre just all swapped with other teams. You can only trade every other year. But yes were an unserious franchise who might actually draft bronny james

Capo_capo

Assemble the meme team!

Cthulhululemon

Why not? They don’t necessarily have to give him minutes. They can afford to have an inexpensive paperweight at the end of the bench, especially if it means getting Bron.

justmefishes

After their two Hail Maries trading for KD and Beal, might as well go all in and take one more big home run swing on the off chance it entices LeBron to sign or force a trade. Patiently developing a 22nd pick in an extremely weak draft isn't going to move the needle on their situation, which is that they need to make something happen on KD's limited remaining timeline.

Siakim43

I think their prime championship window is now if they can get LeBron. They can't pick someone and wait for them to develop with KD getting up there.

lolimdivine

i know he’s still relatively new but this would be such a matt ishbia move if bronny ended up on the suns

EatDeeply

Since Bronny declared, I have harbored the hope and fantasy that a non-Lebron team (like a truly small market team like Memphis or Utah or Charlotte) would select Bronny in a gambit to force the Lakers to either sacrifice assets for a probably limited talent, or force Lebron to come. I agree with you that Ishiba has the temerity to do this. Honestly, I could see Lacob doing it also.

LeBroentgen

This is a textbook New Owner Syndrome move!

Ok-Purple-1123

I’m rooting for Bronny but I hate this if it’s true… he is NOWHERE near good enough to be rejecting ANY invites.. and should be grinding through every possible invite hoping a team sees something worth investing in him because quite frankly he should’ve stayed his ass in school another year and transfer to a place he could be more ball dominant

WembanyamaGOAT

For real that’s bullshit. So unserious of him

vLONEv12

Idk if I agree about it being a lack of seriousness on his part. I’m not really well versed in how the workouts go, but if it involves travel, 10 is a lot. I’d also lean that 10 is a lot still since other teams have access to his workout info anyway. It would also help prevent potential injury prior to draft night.

SuriMuriPuri

Morey is gonna draft him in the 1st round to entice Lebron and we'll end up with Miles Bridges and Kyle Kuzma instead

aboooz

More like Derozan and Eric Gordon, Morey has always loved his old vets.

SuriMuriPuri

Our franchises have suffered under the terror of daryl morey

BradyGalaxy

I truly think our owner is stupid enough to do this lmfao

Obvious_Parsley3238

Suns using one of their only assets on bronny would be so fucking funny please let it happen

ThunderBobMajerle

I mean as a suns fan I’d rather have lebron on this tight window team than the mystery box at 22. So yea please let it happen, we are all in on a title here and with the cap going up Suns aren’t as fucked in the future as people want them to be unfortunately.

michaelalex3

Even if you get bronny how exactly do you get Lebron? He’s not signing for a minimum contract.

oviedofuntimes

You are right, its summer time in AZ, mfers are hot and delirious

Jra805

^fax

steamliner88

Bronny workout: Step 1: interview. “Will your daddy play for us if we draft you?” “We have seen what we need. No need for step 2.”

PrimaryAccording9162

In the BR article it said Rich Paul won’t sign Bronny to a two-way deal. Seems some team will take a chance on him in the second but Rich wants a team that’s going to invest in Bronny’s development. Phoenix is not that place

Classics22

Refusing two-ways and refusing to work out for teams he doesn’t want to go to lol. Normal behavior for a late 2nd round talent

PrimaryAccording9162

Yeah he should be taking as many workouts. I wouldn’t call it the same since Trayce Jackson Davis couldve been drafted much higher but his agency also refused two way deals since they knew Golden State was interested in giving him a roster spot

hdjakahegsjja

Brother this guy is not even a 2nd round talent get real.

Rapscallious1

He will get a network special for where he signs as an undrafted free agent.

bbysmrf

The Austin Reaves special. I think more players should start doing it instead of getting drafted to a franchise that doesn’t have a role for them. Especially for a player like Bronny, I think a 2-way for a random team is one of the quickest ways for him to be out of the league. He will probably get on a roster just because of his dad either way.

callmemaverik_

We just got a G-League team again. Phoenix could be the place, but what do I know.

PrimaryAccording9162

Well that’s the thing. Most teams probably would stash Bronny in the g league but that’s why Rich wants that standard deal

ireallydespiseyouall

Who the hell do they think bronny is if he won’t sign a two way? He’s not some elite prospect he just has a dad in the league

Savings-Seat6211

It's just posturing. Nobody really says "please sign me on a two way" even if they know that's the most realistic option. Ignore this noise.

Gbear831

He will put asses in seats and sell jerseys even if just for a gimmick he is a marketable player. Im sure people will buy bronny james jerseys

Spinner064

For the first two ganes maybe

PrimaryAccording9162

Rich was talking about nepotism but some team will definitely give Bronny a standard contract even if LeBron doesn’t come. But that’s why Rich is wanting a team to invest in Bronny’s long term development

WembanyamaGOAT

Why tf wouldn’t Bronny visit all the teams that he is offered bro. So unserious.

not_so_bueno

Already dislike this nepo baby

WembanyamaGOAT

Definitely shows where his head is at, thinking he can just pick and choose what team he trains with as if he knows he’ll be in the league no matter what because of who his dad is. Ridiculous. Not like he’s projected as a top pick, if he was, I would understand, but he’s not

Fabtacular1

Lots of favors being called in by Klutch to generate a narrative that Bronny is being considered as a first-round prospect. And this is all to give cover to the team they convince to take him. This is all a joke.

agentdoubleohio

For everyone clowning on the suns and not saying it’s justified, you invite anyone you can for a workout to see what’s there. Lebron and James jones have been friends for a very long time, and for bronny only going to a few teams, don’t act like going to be near kd wouldn’t be something awesome to see and be around. I think it’s a mistake to take him in the first round, but why not bring him in for a workout.

CloneArranger

I've decided I'm rooting for Bronny to make it, because it seems like more fun than rooting against him.

milkmypepperoni

I wanted to see Lebron dunk on his son and be nominated for dunk of the season. I 100% believe that’ll be framed up in the main hallway of Lebron’s home for generations

No-Mud3388

You guys were absolutely fooling yourselves if you thought he wasnt getting drafted

lolimdivine

also since when did people care about teams using a 2nd rounder to draft the 15th man on their roster

Siakim43

Underestimating how far folks will reach to hate lol.

lolimdivine

it has been absolutely wild. hating on a kid cause his dad is lebron

bientheblue

Thinkpieces about nepotism on here just because of this lol they act like Bronny will get drafted Top 10

quinoa

it's really fuckin dumb

Ilikesporks_

if the player involved didn't have the last name "james" no one would give a fuck about some player being chosen with low draft pick

jumpijehosaphat

i can see the timeline now.  Suns draft Bronny.  KD and bron get chummy during the olympics.  after the olympics bron announces hes taking his talents to phoenix.

crx00

The Banana boat super team is in the works

dwadefan45

It's giving dejavu of when we drafted Shabazz Napier thinking Lebron would stay. To whichever team picks Bronny: Lebron is not coming.

Imthegoat175

James Jones and Ishbia trying to court LeBron on the vet min.

Widdis

If LeBron took a vet minimum to play with his son, the first overall pick in the draft is worth that.

thy_armageddon

Haven’t seen a dude carried by his father’s name this much since Max Landis.

matthitsthetrails

Would he even crack the depth chart over playoffs Beal?

Thorlolita

Every playoff team should consider this. “You want to play with your soon cool well we just drafted him. Come on down. Oh you don’t like our contract offer? I guess you’ll just have to wait until he’s a free agent. Father Time is ticking” If he wants his son to play with him on the Lakers then I’m calling them and saying sure we will trade you his rights but we want 2 firsts.

grandelturismo7

N E P O T I S M

Outside_Abroad_3516

DAWG YOU CANT BE SERIOUS

twinsrule1991

Shameless. Gotta respect that at least.

Unable_Bite8680

Bronny probably goes undrafted of very late in the 2nd round. This is probably for show.

WobbleKun

if it comes with a 2 for 1 deal with pops then they definitely should draft him lol. pops solves a lot of suns' problems. point guard, big body, etc.

kobmug_v2

Nothing would be more predictable than the “scouts” on r/nba being completely wrong about Bronny’s ability.

ObviousAnswerGuy

I mean, a developing team like the pistons/spurs taking a flyer on him is one thing, but for a contending team like the Suns with no bench depth to draft him would be absolutely ridiculous

TheRealK95

The suns have very limited draft capital for quite a while thanks to those big time star additions. They need to address depth which is obviously very slim. Bronny is an incredibly risky pick at 22 lol.

Casamance

The madman Ishbia is actually gonna do it

HolyGhostSpirit33

Fuck I don’t wanna route for phx

AtreusIsBack

Please, Phoenix. You have the chance to pull off a gamer move.

CodyCryBabies69

dam this year draft class must be dog water if the Suns is considering drafting Bronny at 22 lol

archerarcher0

It would be JUST LIKE ishbia to pick bronny at 22 in the wake of completely fucking any future the franchise had to begin with
