I started with Most Wanted and got to say that I never played classic NFS titles but your comment made me come to the realisation that they are somewhat comparable to the Fallout Classic titles..... most people ignore those games even though they are the "source" for the Franchises we enjoy today.
Funnily enough, I actually enjoy the wide open roads of Seacrest despite playing Black Box's NFS titles most.
Although, I think HP remastered still has the best sound design out of all of the NFS games I've played (haven't played the Shift games, though). The Zonda's sounds are the best, bar none!

Rivals is my favourite. Yes I’m weird. It does have issues but I don’t care. I’ve loved that game since I played it for the very first time. I remember the countless hours that I spent driving around in my Mustang. The map was so cool.
Hot pursuit online is quite the same. Cops have a lot of opportunities to catch up racers, starting from fast replenishing nitrous and more top speed and ending with roadblocks.
Rivals on the other hand is just poor console port but the game is still good. It really should've gotten patched with 60/120 fps or remastered, while just rereleasing hp 2010 for modern consoles as is

Very good takes. I also don’t like how some of his fans say those games are bad just because he thinks they’re bad. NFS Rivals might feel rushed in some ways and I don’t like it’s online only, although you can play it offline, just without a pause, it’s actually insanely fun for me because of how difficult it is. The health system, especially in racer cars, might be imbalanced, but at least made cop chases pretty fun and with cop cars inflicting lots of damage on race cars, made for an ass clenching experience which made it also in a certain way pretty fun. Collecting speed points while cops actively try to kill you.
Rivals was fucking amazing, and exhilarating. The visuals from each section of the map, weather events, sound design, we have never had a cinematic game like that since.
Yeah that’s something that I barely see touched upon when discussing the game, its story. The game follows this amazing storyline where depending on the side you choose you either die or kill a person. Considering the fact that the game up until that point encourages you to do those things, you have to be faster, you have to be more brutal and in the end it is those that result in a death. It’s like the game suddenly and forcefully pops you baloon of comfort regarding the handled matter and makes you face its consequences.

All nfs games have flaws. Just like some people don’t like the run or undercover but there are people out there who love the run and undercover.
For me hot pursuit was the greatest nfs crested the way the car handles and drifts is unrivalled. The game that came out after most wanted was still good but they tweaked the drifting to be slightly worse but its my second fave

The game can be played without an internet connection. It'll throw you into a singleplayer mode (literally an option in the settings menu). So unlike 2015, Rivals will live on after the servers are turned off

He’s such a fucking idiot. Hot Pursuit 2010 is arguably one of the best, if not THE best game in the entire franchise. Its gameplay is stellar, with the best driving physics the nfs franchise has ever had. It’s gameplay brings in all the aspects that made the burnout games great, and injects them into the nfs formula, and makes it work flawlessly. Its car list for both the racers and the cops is awesome. The soundtrack is great. The online was some of the most fun I’ve had playing nfs with friends. Just because it doesn’t fall into what you think nfs is “supposed to be” doesn’t mean it’s automatically bad.
And even rivals, while not a perfect experience, is still a really enjoyable game. It’s dark and gritty tone, and the intensity of its gameplay have gone unmatched by any other racing game that has come out since. It took everything HP 2010 did, and attempted to expand upon it. It’s a game I’ve greatly come to appreciate in retrospect, and is honestly imo, the best thing to come out of the ghost era of nfs.
I've gone back to try to platinum Rivals and it isn't absolutely terrible but there are some eyebrow raising choices. Plus some glitches are still present.

The HP remaster is great, not only does it improve the overall quality but online works and is active thanks to crossplay. Plus they added a few new cars. I generally don't recommend watching these YouTubers, they are often the reason some titles get unfair criticism. Their fans / followers usually put only a few hours into a game and then repeat the same bs in their review. No need to turn gaming into politics.
Hot Pursuit was spectacular. I kind of wished there was more of a storyline, but was a wonderful game that was fun to play, wa challenging (I did rage a lot), and overall a masterful addition the the NFS titles.

To me, NFSHP (both 2010 & remastered) is good, the gameplay to me is quite straightforward and simple, to be the best police or the most wanted. Also, i love them being not needed to grind a lot of money to secure that #1 place to keep progressing further.

I completely disagree with you. Personal preference is king anyway. My top 3 are; 1. Hot pursuit. 2. Heat. 3. Most wanted. My time is valuable, so when I am able to play a game, I want it to be fun, quick to start, and free of extensive story lines. I play NFS games to race, and either outrun the police, or as the police catch the racers. The thing that is irritating to me is sorting through all the upgrades they want to sell me before the game even starts. These are just my opinions, and I realize that the OP was just going for post views anyway.
To be fair, I’ve never played Rivals, but looked into it before I was going to purchase it. I decided not to because of the heavy story lines, and cut scenes.

Um, literally cap? I might be somewhat biased bc I grew up playing both hp and rivals, and these games were some of the last true need for speeds in my opinion. Hot Pursuit is far from the worst, it's a pretty decent game in my opinion
not even just 'decent', it's one of the best games in the franchise and is mostly universally liked except by the few like BlackPanthaa, they remastered it for a reason ahaha.

He’s such a fucking idiot. Hot Pursuit 2010 is arguably one of the best, if not THE best game in the entire franchise. Its gameplay is stellar, with the best driving physics the nfs franchise has ever had. It’s gameplay brings in all the aspects that made the burnout games great, and injects them into the nfs formula, and makes it work flawlessly. Its car list for both the racers and the cops is awesome. The soundtrack is great. The online was some of the most fun I’ve had playing nfs with friends. Just because it doesn’t fall into what you think nfs is “supposed to be” doesn’t mean it’s automatically bad. And even rivals, while not a perfect experience, is still a really enjoyable game. It’s dark and gritty tone, and the intensity of its gameplay have gone unmatched by any other racing game that has come out since. It took everything HP 2010 did, and attempted to expand upon it. It’s a game I’ve greatly come to appreciate in retrospect, and is honestly imo, the best thing to come out of the ghost era of nfs.
Rivals has problems, but damn it I still play it a lot just to have fun and bully Venom's in my Berlinetta
I've gone back to try to platinum Rivals and it isn't absolutely terrible but there are some eyebrow raising choices. Plus some glitches are still present. Undercover still takes the title for the absolute worst NFS imo

The HP remaster is great, not only does it improve the overall quality but online works and is active thanks to crossplay. Plus they added a few new cars. I generally don't recommend watching these YouTubers, they are often the reason some titles get unfair criticism. Their fans / followers usually put only a few hours into a game and then repeat the same bs in their review. No need to turn gaming into politics.
HP 2010 is the best game post black box to date imo.

Hot Pursuit was spectacular. I kind of wished there was more of a storyline, but was a wonderful game that was fun to play, wa challenging (I did rage a lot), and overall a masterful addition the the NFS titles.

To me, NFSHP (both 2010 & remastered) is good, the gameplay to me is quite straightforward and simple, to be the best police or the most wanted. Also, i love them being not needed to grind a lot of money to secure that #1 place to keep progressing further.

I completely disagree with you. Personal preference is king anyway. My top 3 are; 1. Hot pursuit. 2. Heat. 3. Most wanted. My time is valuable, so when I am able to play a game, I want it to be fun, quick to start, and free of extensive story lines. I play NFS games to race, and either outrun the police, or as the police catch the racers. The thing that is irritating to me is sorting through all the upgrades they want to sell me before the game even starts. These are just my opinions, and I realize that the OP was just going for post views anyway. To be fair, I’ve never played Rivals, but looked into it before I was going to purchase it. I decided not to because of the heavy story lines, and cut scenes.
I bought my first gaming console bc of HOT PURSUIT 🙂

Um, literally cap? I might be somewhat biased bc I grew up playing both hp and rivals, and these games were some of the last true need for speeds in my opinion. Amazing cars, selection, detail, sounds, etc. FAR better music than the mumble rap balderdash in modern games, and way more interesting to progress from beginning to end. There is not an iota of progression in unbound whatsoever. I don't think these are necessarily the best games in the franchise (I think most people will agree the ps2 era was the best), but they are a hundred and forty percent not the worst. Awful take.

Change is good NFS experiment with new styles but no prople want underground 3 lol these 2 are Hypercars ERA its something different then same old shit they tried it with THe Rin too and Rivals cops are way better compared to any NFS titles ,that rush ,fear adrenaline its not in any NFS new series Cops are ahit and NFS is known for cop chases ,Rivals got only 6 month for development and still cops are way better then unbound and heat and in these two titles Hypercars feels slow like in heat fucking RSR is the fastest then Hypercars lol.
Ironically those are the only two NFS games I own (apart from the mobile app)

I just fully completed Hot Pursuit (besides achievements that involve online play) with about 22hrs in and I absolutely loved it! I re-entered the series with Heat in 21/22 and then Unbound Not having an open world and just focus on racing + playing as the cops with tools to use felt amazing i also just installed rivals as i heard its somewhat similar to pursuit(?) either way im hyped to play it :D
