What if my driving history isn't perfect

Robots_Never_Die

Accidents or tickets? And how recent?

sheetskees

Driving my own car through these shitastic streets is stressful enough, but thanks for the info.

illkwill

What kind of drugs are we testing?

jurzdevil

DOT drug screen is regulated at the federal level, so state legality doesn't matter. CDL allows for interstate commerce so it falls under the federal gov. https://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/regulations/drug-alcohol-testing/which-substances-are-tested

WhatDidIDoNow

WEED But, seriously I would wait at least two weeks. (Depending on usage may vary.) Exercise, drink lots of water and eat healthy before testing. GL

dnap123

bad advice, DOT does hair tests. you need to be really actually clean in order to pass

DTEII

LPT- If you use marijuana and have a drug test approaching, exercising will INCREASE the time needed to pass NOT shorten it, as it is fat soluble and will be released as fat is lost and converted to energy. :)

WhatDidIDoNow

WHAT IF I LOVE TO SMOKE WEED

Robots_Never_Die

STOP OR DON'T APPLY. TOTALLY UP TO YOU BRO.

Great info, thanks for sharing. Definitely worth considering if I was at a different stage in my life.

[deleted]

Great info here! Wish I could do this part time but don't think my work schedule would allow it.

snickerstheclown

How clean a driving record are we talking here?

Robots_Never_Die

No at fault accidents in the last 2 years, no DUIs in the last 7 years, and no more than 1 moving violation in the last 3 years. Some places are more/less strict than others but thats about what you'll need to pass most hiring requirements due to insurance. I would also suggest not having any felony convictions either. There are places that will take you with a felony but they will abuse you and pay you shit because they know you're gonna have a hard time finding another driving job.

[deleted]

You forgot to mention the time investment

JonGilbony

No he didn't. You're being pedantic.

[deleted]

That's an important part left out of the headline. It's phrased to sound like an investment opportunity, not a job suggestion. But I suppose you are technically correct, they didn't forget to mention it, they intentionally neglected to mention it. It also has nothing to do with new Jersey. You want to defend this click bait title?

Robots_Never_Die

These jobs are in NJ and the wioa is available through NJ dept of labor.

[deleted]

The fed ex link you Posted starts with jobs in Pennsylvania and California. Those are jobs for all of fed ex, some of which may happen to be in Jersey but not specific to the state. The other links are also generic national job postings. The majority of you post is generic career advice, not specific to Jersey

Robots_Never_Die

You need to set the filter to NJ. It's not rocket appliances.

[deleted]

so you agree it's not nj specific

snickerstheclown

Dude can you not?

[deleted]

Not what?

JonGilbony

> It also has nothing to do with new Jersey. On this I agree with you

shhmedium2021

This isn’t indeed.com

AnynameIwant1

You do realize that there are job boards for this right?

_dryp_

How to earn 75k a year! Get a job! makes sense xD

Robots_Never_Die

A job that requires no college education, will provide on the job training, and pay 2-3x more than most jobs that fall into that category.
