I just figured for workers' sakes, they aren't going to have the regular crew working from like 10pm to 5-6 AM. Maybe they'd pay them extra for their troubles but who knows.
No is an understatement. Trevor Lawrence has more playoff wins then I have witnessed for the lions in my 30 years of life as Lions fan
Edit: Meant 31 years lol
I am rooting for the thing that would break the most brains on r/nfl since my team is not in contention in 2023.
So I am rooting for the Jordan Love led Packers to make the Super Bowl against the Aaron Rodgers led New York Jets.
I would be ecstatic for that outcome. I'm not someone who will root for Rodgers on another team over the Packers, but I'd still love for his career to end on the ultimate high.
The Packers as a whole didn't have enough to make the playoffs this year even with everything going our way the last few weeks, so to even go on a deep run next year would be a massive win whether or not Rodgers has an even better result somewhere else.
Sure, the Packers winning would be better as a GB fan, but that doesn't mean the other outcome wouldn't be awesome too.
Even if we shit the bed next year and he goes out and wins it all I'd be happy with that. It would make up for the decade of shitty teams we surrounded him with
Since I can’t pick the niners I’ll go with:
Bengals-Lions
Guaranteed new SB winner. Both teams are also fun to watch. Would be a cool high scoring game imo
Texans and Bears both finish 7-10 and go on a miracle run through the playoffs. Bears beat the Giants Niners and Eagles to make it to the SB while the Texans win every game against the Bengals Chiefs and Bills by a combined score of 17-14, and then the first ever Super Bowl between two teams with a losing record goes into triple overtime because the Bears OL can’t block and the Texans offense can’t score
Lions/Browns but they resign Jacoby, Watson tears all four of his ACLs (can never play again) in Week 1, and Jacoby wins CPOTY, MVP, and OPOTY. Oh and then they get destroyed by the Lions, where Dan Campbell becomes the first man to play coach and DE simultaneously
Steelers-Lions
Look back in time and you’ll see that the Steelers have a tendency of beating poverty franchises in the superbowl, they act as a final boss for poverty franchises and seeing the lions try their go at it would be cool
I hate 'poverty franchise' as it has accurately labeled my 2 fav teams (reds & bengals) for much of my time rooting for them. Truth sucks sometimes. Yes, I have less to complain about currently.
And I'd love this matchup next year
Lions vs Browns. They used to be powerhouses in the 50s. But today long-suffering.
Vikings vs Bills. Both 0-4 in Super Bowls, someone's gotta win, or maybe first ever tied title after going beyond 2 OTs.
But...I can see a great case for many other matchups for various stories, coaches meeting former coaches, players against former team, etc.
No Titans, so I’ll say a Seahawks vs Broncos. Russ starts ACTUALLY cooking under Sean Peyton. Seahawks get a perfect draft and led by Geno Smith. The story lines would be epic
(Saints vs Bengals would be pretty cool)
Bears vs Ravens (assuming Lamar is still there)
Running Back QB Revolution!
Last off-season I “predicted” Eagles vs Ravens based off this notion and I got one team right lol
Lions-Jags would be fun. Lifelong suffering bowl.
*NFL switches Super Bowl locale to London*
Oh it’s totally gonna happen within the next 5 years or so…
Even the NFL can't do that... The time difference won't allow it.
They wouldn’t care about what time the game started in London.
That’s some hardcore day drinking right there. Tailgate breakfasts. The after party for the winning team would be great.
I imagine there are laws preventing sports games to start at midnight, no?
Not that I know of for professional sports. Maybe there might be something like that in states for High Schools or Colleges but I don’t know.
I just figured for workers' sakes, they aren't going to have the regular crew working from like 10pm to 5-6 AM. Maybe they'd pay them extra for their troubles but who knows.
It’s the Super Bowl. They’d get paid
It’d be a tough sell for the people of America, but it’s something I can see ole Rodg doing.
I really wanna see MCDC win a SB
I can’t even imagine man. I want that dude to succeed so badly
he just hits me in all the man feels
God bless you… he’s not gonna take an ounce of credit and praise everyone under the sun. It’s gonna be glorious
I just want two cat teams. That’s all I’m asking 😩
Have the Jags been around long enough to feel the same pain that Lions fans do?
No is an understatement. Trevor Lawrence has more playoff wins then I have witnessed for the lions in my 30 years of life as Lions fan Edit: Meant 31 years lol
That’s because (and I’m 31), the last time the Lions won a playoff game was right before I was born. I apologize. It’s my fault :(
No.
The Pain Bowl Someone’s gonna go home with generational agony
chiefs person, this got my vote as well!
Jags are lifelong suffering? They made a conference championship in year 2 of a 28-year existence. Browns is more likely fitting of that title.
I'd rather not see the Browns win shit after paying Deshaun Watson a quarter of a billion, regardless of how much they have suffered.
Lifelong? The Jags came into existence in 95. How about Vikings-Bills.
Fifth-time’s-a-charm Bowl
Jags beating the Bills in the AFCCG for more salt
I am rooting for the thing that would break the most brains on r/nfl since my team is not in contention in 2023. So I am rooting for the Jordan Love led Packers to make the Super Bowl against the Aaron Rodgers led New York Jets.
If the Packers make the Super Bowl the first year after Rodgers is gone, people will be extremely angry.
Entirety of r/NFCNorthMemeWar would be put on suicide watch
I love how these meme subs are gaining so much traction lol
Well, all but r/AFCWestMemeWar. But that's because that sub is ~~Lord Mahomes and his bitches in LA, LV and Denver~~ dominated by one team.
Which sucks cause all of thoses teams are extremely memeable.
I’d be finding the nearest cliff to jump off
Just stick close to the Vikings. They seem to have a knack for finding cliffs to fall off of.
Can’t really argue.
I will not
Jordan Love lifts lombardy and spends the next 15 years winning 4 MVPs and losing 7 NFCCs
Totally worth it just to watch the rest of the NFC North lose their minds!
Yea because let’s be real, if you guys aren’t winning Super Bowls it’s not like the other 3 will be lol
Hey!
Any Packer fan that wouldn’t sign up for this deserves a noogie AND a wedgie
Yeah, there would be a LOT of salt on this subreddit.
If Rodgers and the Jets won the Packers fans and organization would have a meltdown worse than Chernobyl
Lol are you kidding? We’d be absolutely torqued just to be there
Even if we shit the bed next year and he goes out and wins it all I'd be happy with that. It would make up for the decade of shitty teams we surrounded him with
There will be riots in Detroit, Minneapolis, and Chicago.
This just made me vomit
What if they end up like the Broncos did against the Seahawks?
Nah, man, Cowboys and Browns would break r/nfl
You take it back. You take it back right now.
Kinda this but I’ll wait for the following year or two when Rodgers becomes a Viking vs JLo and the Pack in the NFCCG
[удалено]
Cat heavy I like it
Dolphins lions Two of the most fun teams to watch with entertaining players and coaches who just seem like they’re having fun
The most physically imposing head coach vs the least physically imposing head coach. The pressers would be incredible both ways.
[The presser](https://cdn.theathletic.com/app/uploads/2022/08/18123750/IMG_3846.jpeg)
I like you and I like this.
I’m all for this
Anything with the Lions tbh. Maybe Jags? A revamped Jets would be fun too
Lions v jags
Lions vs. the world
Isn't that every week?
It’s everyday
Since I can’t pick the niners I’ll go with: Bengals-Lions Guaranteed new SB winner. Both teams are also fun to watch. Would be a cool high scoring game imo
The sheer amount of trickery Dan Campbell would try…
Dan Campbell would be force feeding Sewell all game just to prove to Cincy that they drafted the wrong WR
Stop with this perfection

Bears v Texans.
The Lovie Smith Bowl
Texans and Bears both finish 7-10 and go on a miracle run through the playoffs. Bears beat the Giants Niners and Eagles to make it to the SB while the Texans win every game against the Bengals Chiefs and Bills by a combined score of 17-14, and then the first ever Super Bowl between two teams with a losing record goes into triple overtime because the Bears OL can’t block and the Texans offense can’t score
Texans win 3 playoff games with the scorelines being 7-6, 7-6, 3-2
And in the games where they score 7, it’s a field goal and two safeties each time
Yes and in both games where 6 is scored against them it's actually a missed PAT and not 2FGs.
Even better, 6 one point safeties (this has never happened in the history of professional football)
Delete this
It’s ok though we eventually win 6-0 as time expires on a 92 yard Justin Fields touchdown run
What would happen? Would they just keep going??
battle of the first round picks
I’m down.
Bengals/Lions, maybe? Or Bills/Lions.
And lions over bills by 2. Obviously. It's just poetic.
On a missed kick by Buffalo.
Oh that's just cruel!
I'd be finding the finest bridge near me
I think I like the first one better
Cat Bros; Bengals vs Lions / Panthers?
Bengals/Jaguars AFCC Lions/Panthers NFCC
Oddly enough, this is probably feasible, depending on what Carolina does with their QB situation
Cat bros!
If the Lions win a SB before we do, I will honestly stop watching NFL. No point if that were to happen.
Yea but what if we both win one (us first) and Green Bay never makes the playoffs again?
Bengals v Jags and Lions v Panthers championship titles would be hella tight
Subscribe
Dolphins-Lions
Bengals and Lions
Lions/Browns but they resign Jacoby, Watson tears all four of his ACLs (can never play again) in Week 1, and Jacoby wins CPOTY, MVP, and OPOTY. Oh and then they get destroyed by the Lions, where Dan Campbell becomes the first man to play coach and DE simultaneously
>Lions fan here, really like the part where Watson tears all of his ACL's
I would be ecstatic
Lions v Jags
Chargers v Seahawks
Yes please
Geno and Herbert going at it again fuck yeah
Steelers-Lions Look back in time and you’ll see that the Steelers have a tendency of beating poverty franchises in the superbowl, they act as a final boss for poverty franchises and seeing the lions try their go at it would be cool
Vikings Cowboys Cardinals Yeah the math checks out. Rams and Seahawks are fine though.
Even rams and hawks had 0 superbowls when they played the Steelers, they kinda serve as a gateway
I hate 'poverty franchise' as it has accurately labeled my 2 fav teams (reds & bengals) for much of my time rooting for them. Truth sucks sometimes. Yes, I have less to complain about currently. And I'd love this matchup next year
Chargers vs Vikings 2 teams who have never won a SB Brandon Staley vs Kevin O'Connell, 2 McVay Coordinators
Not supposed to pick your own team 😉
Bills vs Lions
Poor lake Erie
Wow, I never thought about the Erie NFL teams being winless in the Super Bowl.
r/LakeErieBros
Lions vs Browns. They used to be powerhouses in the 50s. But today long-suffering. Vikings vs Bills. Both 0-4 in Super Bowls, someone's gotta win, or maybe first ever tied title after going beyond 2 OTs. But...I can see a great case for many other matchups for various stories, coaches meeting former coaches, players against former team, etc.
Lions and Browns actually played each other in 3 straight NFL title games. Lions won the first two and Browns won the third.
Niners Dolphins
Vikings Bills
the Stefon Diggs Special
3 catches for 14 yards?!
If it’s anything like it was this year that would be awesome
Easily the most entertaining game of the season, in my opinion. Two of the better teams in the league just going at it.
This feels like it would be the NFL equivalent to the Cubs-Indians World Series in 2016
First ever SB ending in a tie
Goodell finally calls for a field goal kicking competition to settle the tie.
Ehh... still to soon with 'Wide Right' 32 years ago.
Lions vs Raiders (with Rodgers)
Let’s give Aaron Rodgers father another 3 interceptions (being moderate since the Lions play the Raiders in regular season and Super Bowl)
No Titans, so I’ll say a Seahawks vs Broncos. Russ starts ACTUALLY cooking under Sean Peyton. Seahawks get a perfect draft and led by Geno Smith. The story lines would be epic (Saints vs Bengals would be pretty cool)
I would watch this.
LIONS VERSUS JAGS cat bros get a ring either way
Chiefs/Eagles
as a pats fan, I’m required to say eww
If that's the case, we may as well make it 3 in a row. Best 2/3 wins. (if there isn't a 2 win team after the first two meetings)
Actually that sounds lit, sign me up. Dibs on the first tho
Bills - Vikings
Dolphins vs 49ers.
the Mike McDaniel Special
A good storyline plus the last time Miami was in the Super Bowl was vs SF.
Vikings - Bills. Two excellent teams, deserving of being in the mix, fun to watch, and NEED a damn Super Bowl win.
You've condemned one team to 0-5
It will be us, as is tradition
Well, we haven’t made the playoffs in back to back years since 08/09 so that would hardly be surprising.
Bears vs Ravens (assuming Lamar is still there) Running Back QB Revolution! Last off-season I “predicted” Eagles vs Ravens based off this notion and I got one team right lol
Lions vs jags
Seahawks vs Broncos
Jeff Saturday led Colts vs. Nathaniel Hackett led Broncos
\*AFC Championship I'd watch
The Nyquil Bowl
Lions are definitely involved to some extent. Beyond that, Jags/Bills/Texans
Realistic one that would be a lot of fun in my opinion is Bills vs Vikings
Vikings-Bills. Game ends in tie.
Jets vs Packers
is this assuming arod goes to NY?
Without my bias, id love to see Detroit play anyone.
I think they’ve cemented themselves as the most likable team in the league
Lions vs anyone but the Chiefs pretty much
watching MCDC makes me miss playing football every time… the brotherhood is epic
Lions-Jags
Chiefs v Viks
just upvoting every response to counter the salt
lions chargers
Ravens vs Lions
Panthers Jaguars KITTY BOWL, and a panthers is basically a black jaguar so there is that.
And both teams came into the league at the same time.
Bengals-Lions would be a ton of fun
Lions v Bills
I want the Bills to go lose another Super Bowl, don’t really care who beats them. I’ll say the Commanders because that would be really embarrassing
Lol.
Vikings vs patriots
I'd be happy and sad no matter what happens
Bucs-Pats would be funny
Lions v. Bills - Somebody gets off the schneid bowl. The most likely match-up of two teams who haven't won a chip yet.
Steelers-Lions
phins-lions two franchises that really need success and it would be a really fun game
Bears vs Texans in Qatar
The Raiders vs whatever team Carr is on.
Browns vs Commanders just to watch the PR nightmare.
I think that’d be the first Super Bowl ever that I vote for an asteroid strike
Lions-Jags Two teams I enjoy watching and the winner walks away with their first SB
This but hoping Doug gets his second
The Chiefs not being anywhere near it
Ravens V Panthers, two cool lookin teams
Also cat vs bird bowl,, which I don't think has happened yet so that'd be pretty cool
Giants-Chiefs, I suppose.
Tom Brady VS TB12
Honestly some combo of Browns/Jets/Jags vs Bears/Cards/Commanders I have a soft spot for dedicated fans.
If I can’t pick my Giants… Bills vs Rams
Jets vs Bears
Bears v. Texans.
I really like the bills and think they deserve one. their fans deserve one, for nfc idk maybe the vikings?
Probably Lions v Bengals or Bills, just get Dan Campbell a super bowl he's cool
Not including my team, still sticking with the cat bros theme… Lions vs. Jaguars Sorry Bengals bros , it’s their turn.
Jags vs Lions, that would be electric
Bills/Vikings. The someone’s going to finally win one bowl.
Seahawks vs. Buffalo
Seahawks vs Broncos would be very interesting
19-0 Tom Brady lead 49ers against the New England Patriots
Eagles vs Steelers I know you said not including teams you follow but I always really wanted to see that matchup. I don’t think PA would survive.
