He went from catching passes from Pickett to Fields to Tua and now Josh Allen... Man's climbing the QB ladder. He's playing 5D chess and winning more than anyone else in the process.
We don’t have a true 1, but it’s not all that bad. Coleman, Shakir, Samuel are a decent trio. Shorter, Hamler, Cephus, and Claypool are the depth pieces
Well, I wouldn’t “overreact” to that, but I would think it’s a proper reaction to say it is a concern what the gap is between the starting WRs and Claypool actually is, because it’s not as large as you’d want it to be.
You guys have a bunch of bodies that belong on an NFL team, but not any bodies an NFL team needs.
KB and Douglas both basically played half a season. Bill (for some reason) did not want to play both of them at the same time. KB got injured and Douglas didn’t really play full time til the KB injury.
Nah this is a myth pushed by Patriots fans. Pats always supplied Brady well with weapons, with the caveat of the early 2000s, but pre-07 was a different game.
I mean, kind of. Superbowl 2018 roster had Edelman and a lightly washed Josh Gordon. White and Michel as backs. Edelman is a good player obviously but not exactly a WR1 on all rosters and he was far and away their best option. WR3 was Chris Hogan or Phillip Dorsett.
Edelman on a per 17 game basis as a starter averaged 1,100 and 6. Perpetually underrated WR who suffered perception wise from being a white, undersized WR who played with Brady and suffered from a bunch of random injuries, preventing him from stacking up 1,000 yard seasons.
They also had Gronk on that same roster. Similar to the 2023 Chiefs, he was a bit washed during the season but turned it up back to his normal self in the playoffs.
He was 70 yards off in 2021 despite starting in one less game than Kincaid and having 16 less targets, while having a higher yards per reception, 7 more touchdowns, an almost exact even yards per target (8.0 for Henry, 7.4 for Kincaid), 35.5 per game vs. Kincaid's 42.1. The flipside of course is Henry was 27 in 2021, so Kincaid has more room to grow, but yeah his season is extremely comparable to Henry's 2021.
No one knows what Coleman is yet. He could be part of a decent trio. He also might be one of the many first and round second rounders who aren't decent. No one hear knows.
If they wanted him that bad they wouldn't have waited until after the draft. This is what we call a camp body who might somehow weasel his way into a role
Right, that’s why I compared him to Juju who may not even make the Pats.
They’re low on the depth chart, but the room kinda stinks in front of them. Bunch of just okay guys that belong on NFL rosters but are a spot or two higher on the depth chart than what they should be.
We literally have 3 receivers with NFL experience atm
He probably won't even make the roster, but if he does, so be it. Our #4 and #5 we combined for 200 yards last season
0 chance he is worse than them even if he doesn't put up any stats
For now. Until someone else picks it up after he gets cut prior to the season starting lol
Meanwhile, I’m googling iron-on customizable name-plates, so i can upgrade my Diggs jersey
I’m just glad we got the Claypool Curse out of the way early in his career. He’s young, I have a feeling he’s going to get passed around like a pack of Newports at a Project Pat concert.
I think this is his last shot, if he doesn't make the roster, he's toast, if he does make it as a depth guy, he'll get a few chances to redeem himself if he wants any chance at playing next season.
All jokes aside, I really was a fan when we picked him up. I couldn’t wait for him to play in a game, but then a couple dropped touchdowns in clutch times killed me. Still hope he does well somewhere eventually (preferably not against us.) I didn’t hear any negativity about him being a locker room cancer or anything, so at least he’s maturing as a person it seems.
I really did not follow chase after he left us so it’s crazy to think the same exact issues transpired. I’m assuming a lot of it was him going up for jump balls that aren’t actually jump balls he needs to go up for
Haha! It’s funny you say that because he really wasn’t on the field for us too much until the very end of the year when we were beat up. I noticed the unnecessary jumping when he was with you guys, but didn’t notice it with us in the limited time. Waddle on the other hand gets me yelling at the Tv for jumping for no reason. It’s like some weird habit he’s formed or something. It will be right in the numbers but he jumps and catches it at the waist. lol I hate it.
Well, it seems fitting given his role throughout his career as a distraction and a malcontent, and Diggs' recent addition of a Claypoolian uselessness to boot.
A photo of Claypool with red and blue confetti falling on his #14 Bills jersey after winning the conference championship in Arrowhead would be incredible.
I'm not going to lie that is actually kind of funny
When the org eats $31m in dead cap to trade you and THEN gives your old number to fucking Chase Claypool, yeah, holy shit that bridge is burnt to ash
Even if Diggs left on good terms it would still be funny. Everything Claypool does is funny at this point
The day Claypool retires will be sad in the way that the day Jameis Winston retires will be. So much lost unintentional hilarity.
He should lean into it and change his last name to "Diggs"
Chase Diggs is a name of all time
One letter to make it better. Chase Doggs.
Same with Robbie "Chosen 'Robbie Anderson' Anderson" Chosen
He’s in the same category as Kelvin Benjamin for me
You can’t fit another person with Kelvin Benjamin
Honestly unless your number is on track to being retired or you were a lifer for the team then it shouldn’t be off limits.
I think it's hilarious
I think it’s mildly mirthful
In reality, no one is buying his jersey anyway so he’ll be able to see some Bills’ fans wearing Diggs jerseys and think he has some support…
Is it a good thing to make your own WR's delusional? The way you phrase it, I can see the logic.
I think we’re long past that for Claypool… Mapletron gonna mapletron
Claypool committing to picking up the drama Diggs left behind. I respect it.
Perfectly balanced, as all things should be.
1 diva wide receiver to replace another
Except Diggs actually, you know, produced at high level. Claypool has all of the diva attributes and none of the stats to back it up.
Maybe this is the key... put the Diva shit on a good team with a guy who doesnt matter that way when they go full Aretha it doesnt matter.
Same shit different asshole
Sith Lords always find an apprentice
Is there any way we can get that 2nd rounder back we wasted on him?
Hey, tank commander Chase Claypool helped lead us to Caleb Williams. It was worth it in the end.
And we used the pick on jpj so could say it was a win for everyone exceot claypool he diesnt win almost ever
He went from catching passes from Pickett to Fields to Tua and now Josh Allen... Man's climbing the QB ladder. He's playing 5D chess and winning more than anyone else in the process.
I mean he started with a future hall of fame qb and he doesnt really do a whole lot of catching no matter whos throwing him the ball
You guys ended up with JPJ? Dang, good pick. He's exactly the kind of player you need.
Joey Porter Jr. Not Jackson Powers-Johnson.
Oh. Well that's way less fun. Oh well, maybe Fields will make their offense interesting or at least watchable.
Claypool! Sideline! He gave up on the route!
Believable!
Bills lose!
Pure comedy
As a Dolphins fan when Bears fans warned me about him I didn’t listen. Don’t expect much Bills fans.
We get it. We ignored the Steelers fans.
If Mike Tomlin is willing to let a receiver go in a trade, you should be afraid of what is about to come.
(Sorry Panthers fans)
Diontae is going to do well for Carolina, I think
[удалено]
It’s about what you don’t hear, he could be the second awakening of AB
Lawrence? Josh Allen?
No one is expecting anything from him lol. He’s probably WR5 rn
Eh, sorta in the same sense Juju is the Patriots’ WR5 right now. Y’all have a pretty bad room
We don’t have a true 1, but it’s not all that bad. Coleman, Shakir, Samuel are a decent trio. Shorter, Hamler, Cephus, and Claypool are the depth pieces
Gonna be using a ton of Kincaid I feel
You sound like Patriots fans for the past 5 seasons
Because I don’t overreact to signing a guy who likely gets cut in camp sure lol
Well, I wouldn’t “overreact” to that, but I would think it’s a proper reaction to say it is a concern what the gap is between the starting WRs and Claypool actually is, because it’s not as large as you’d want it to be. You guys have a bunch of bodies that belong on an NFL team, but not any bodies an NFL team needs.
The danger is seeing enough flashes in camp to give you hope and keeping him for the season. He has the tools but doesn’t try
Mac Jones really did that WR room no favors
They also did Mac Jones no favors
Kids, kids, you're both just awful
I agree, they both sucked. Both rooms are revamped, luckily
Khalil Shakir in a WR3 role put up more yards than any Patriots WR last season.
KB and Douglas both basically played half a season. Bill (for some reason) did not want to play both of them at the same time. KB got injured and Douglas didn’t really play full time til the KB injury.
It's not like the patriots usually had many stud receivers. They just had Brady so it didn't matter.
WR3 was Chris Hogan or Phillip Dorsett.

tbf they have josh allen and you don’t
Young athletic talented QB with accuracy issues idk sounds like Josh allen to me
Perhaps
The difference here is that our WR1 is in the TE room.
Wow, sounds more and more like the Patriots fans
Did I miss the season where Hunter Henry had as many yards as rookie Kincaid?
Henry had 603 and 9 TDs in 2021 with the Pats. You’re hoping for a lot of development, which isn’t unfair, but also not proven.
Yeah so is Hunter Henry
No one knows what Coleman is yet. He could be part of a decent trio. He also might be one of the many first and round second rounders who aren't decent. No one hear knows.
>hear

Yeah very similar situation. Just one is making $11 mil and the other is no prob on a vet minimum deal
Not really sure how the contract fits into this conversation. Juju is pretty much a lock to be cut this year unless there are significant injuries.
Fact.
I expect nothing, and I still project to be disappointed.
It’s like Ooh La La by The Faces but instead of women it’s about Chase Claypool being ass
We literally have 3 receivers with NFL experience atm He probably won't even make the roster, but if he does, so be it. Our #4 and #5 we combined for 200 yards last season 0 chance he is worse than them even if he doesn't put up any stats
We expect nothing from this camp body.
The bar is on the floor for claypool. If he makes the roster he'll have exceeded expectations.
It's not like Diggs was a serious candidate to get his number retired.
Of course not but it is still pretty comedic because Diggs was actually a good player
Are you trying to say that bears legend Chase Claypool is not a good player?
He's not just trying.
Coincidentally, Claypool just doesn't try.
That’s Steelers legend to you
He's top three, and I don't mean #3
They have the same amount of playoff TDs since 2020 though
And?
Well you see, if you are being payed wr1 money and being schemed heavily for with an elite qb catching 0 tds is actually bad!
For now. Until someone else picks it up after he gets cut prior to the season starting lol Meanwhile, I’m googling iron-on customizable name-plates, so i can upgrade my Diggs jersey
Just make it like the one Browns' QB jersey where you sharpie a line through the past name and tack on the new one every time
Upgrade?
Guess his next team and win what's in the Mystery Box!
My money is on the Cowboys.
#14 always wanted to play on the same team as his brother.
That would make sense. My fear is that he somehow winds up with us.
One former Steelers malcontent is enough, thank you very much.
I am trying to remain focused on the fact that our new FO hasn't dont anything obviously moronic. I am still traumatized from the Fitterer experience.
Memphis Showboats
Claypool! First down celebration! Time expires! Unbelievable!
"We have Stefon Diggs at home"
Just taunting Allen now
Imagine being Josh Allen right now lol
Reports said if Josh wanted Diggs here, he'd still be here.
Part of why Diggs is gone is that the fo and qb couldn't handle his bullshit. If Allen wanted Diggs here I'd assume he'd be here still.
He’s trying to trick Josh Allen into giving him targets
All the diva, none of the stats.
I’m just glad we got the Claypool Curse out of the way early in his career. He’s young, I have a feeling he’s going to get passed around like a pack of Newports at a Project Pat concert.

For us he didn't even learn the playbook and gave zero effort on the field.
Have you considered that Buffalo being his 4th team could be significant?
That quite the dig at Digg’s
Reminder that Bills vs. Texans is on the 2024 schedule.
Well that's just rude tbh
"You thought he threw tantrums & played like shit, I'll show you!"
Well I guess I'll turn my Diggs jersey into a Ryan Fitzpatrick then
The "we've got x at home" meme has never been more appropriate.
I still don't know how we got a second round pick for Diggs. I thought there was no chance we were trading him.
That’s a yikes
Maybe he figures Allen might throw to #14 out of habit.
Chase has talent and is running out of chances. It may go well.
He should post a video to social media saying "I'm number 14 now, can you dig it?"
Diggs must have been a complete pain in the ass behind the scenes.
Well, it seems fitting given his role throughout his career as a distraction and a malcontent, and Diggs' recent addition of a Claypoolian uselessness to boot.
Kinda disrespectful lol
14 has such a weird history in Buffalo
Nothing says “we’re paying you $30M not to play” like giving Claypool your old number.
How does this turd keep getting opportunities???
Honestly, he's either a camp body or wr5/6. So minimal pay
Seahawks should have Ran the Ball
Mr Borrows Clothes
Trevon Diggs is gonna tweet how his brother didn’t even like wearing the #14 now
Huge upgrade
This is so Josh Allen knows who to throw to
This has some “We have Diggs at home” vibes.
It will be like Diggs never left.
The ego on this idiot.
I wonder what they New york numbers are going to be.
Mr. 14
Hope he finally matures and fulfils his potential. Lord knows Allen will need him to step up.
I guess we know who to put on the election signs.
This reminds me of when Bucky “GODS GIFT” Hodges wore 84 for us.
It’ll always be Fitzy’s number to me.
Isn't Claypool tightend?
That's also the over/under on how many games he plays in before they release him.
I honestly had way more faith in Kelvin Benjamin looking back.
Bills love Seppuku
Gonna miss D. Smoot in Jax he was an unsung solid player for us avg. 5.0 sacks a season as a Rotational DT
Maybe the bills should retire 14 not because of a great player but so they can just be done with the drama of these players
Lol what are we doing Buffalo
The bills are doing their best to tank in the off-season. Why Buffy?
A photo of Claypool with red and blue confetti falling on his #14 Bills jersey after winning the conference championship in Arrowhead would be incredible.
LOL
lmao
Lmfao
Passing that torch 💪💪
Rapp lowering his number every concussion/dirty hit
