While usually I agree, it’s not that absurd in this instance. The first rookie QB to appear is behind Russell Wilson. And just ahead of Fields.
Usually some bozo tries to put a rookie QB in the top 10 or 15. Having the first rookie QB appearing at 22 isn’t that absurd. Any given season there’s usually only about like 16-20 halfway decent QBs. Anyone below that is in a no man’s land. So having a rookie QB fall below that line shouldn’t really have anyone riled up.
Yeah for one season I would definitely try my luck with Williams over Russell Wilson.
Again, people, this is for entertainment. There are no consequences to bad take.
How so? I guess it depends what exactly do these power rankings even mean. If they are a prediction of the qbs upcoming seasons stats or how important they are for teams success then including them in the rankings makes total sense. They could bust and be totally wrong, but doesn't mean we can't speculate and predict
Bryce is one of the most over-hated QBs in the entire league. He’s been written off so quickly when pretty much nobody could succeed in the panthers offense last year. I live in Charlotte so I watch a lot of Panthers games, and I can assuredly say Bryce is absolutely not the problem.
He has the potential to be good. Just needs an offensive line that doesn’t collapse in literally 1 second and WRs who can get open. He was dealt a shitty hand but has shown flashes of high quality play.
I’m rooting for him.
No dude dont you see its ONLY been 4 years since he last played at a starting caliber level. These last 2 years of Kenny Pickett level stats are nothing and the whole season he missed isnt worth worrying about either. I mean arent we still looking at 2020 performance for most the league when trying to determine future performance and create rankings?
This is a power ranking, not a ranking based on how good their going to do in 2024. It’s saying Burrow is generally considered the 3rd best QB which I don’t think is outlandish at all. An injury he’s expected to fully heal from shouldn’t affect that at all. If he comes back from injury and never looks the same again, then it’d make sense to drop him.
Power ranking is that, it’s a ranking of current situation. Burrow had the worst year of his career and of the top QBs, on top of injuries that could affect his play further. Putting him over Allen, who’s coming off a 2nd seed finish with the most TDs in the regular and post season is outlandish.
And then they have Goff at 13. Goff finished 2023 second in yards and fourth in TDs. If you’re gonna look at Goff and say “but he’s not as good as the stats suggest because he’s surrounded by elite talent” then how can you not apply that logic to Purdy?
Goff should be higher on this no doubt.
Playing devil’s advocate on the Purdy comparison though, they’re both definitely surrounded by elite talent but with Goff there’s hard stats of him not producing as well when not surrounded by a top-5 oline. Both of the best seasons of his career have come behind a top-5 oline.
Purdy could very well be carried by his skill players but at least there’s the possibility that he continues to produce when they leave since we haven’t had the chance to see it yet. He’s also younger so the rankings could be factoring in future growth.
Dont all QBs do best behind a top 5 line? Like thats just an expectation right? That seems like a hater stat that is used only to diminish his accomplishments without providing any contextual evidence of his play. Like this stat is the equivalent of "RBs play better with a good passing game"- well no shit.
I honestly used top 5 line to be gracious but both those lines were essentially either rank 1 or 2 those respective years. Goff as a pure pocket passer imo is arguably top 5 but he struggles under pressure more than most other quarterbacks.
Even if you don’t consider the offensive lines at all, the basic argument still stands that Goff has seasons/stats of him putting up not great numbers but Purdy doesn’t. That could very well change if Purdy regresses this upcoming year, but it’s harder to hold a lack of evidence against him.
EDIT: This is a limited sample size but I think gets at my point about Goff when he has injuries to his line/under pressure.
https://www.reddit.com/r/nfl/s/HX1KB08gv1
I mean Purdy has only played 1 full year and quite literally id playing with the best collection of offensive talent in the league. Goff has made 2 deep playoff runs with 2 different teams. They both have their flaws. Im a Purdy guy- winners win, doesnt have to be flashy- but knocking Goff cuz the Rams went all in and had plenty of roster issues is equal to saying Purdy hasnt done it long enough. Like Im saying those 2 different demerits, are equal sized demerits. If that makes sense
Edited- cuz I fat fingered the shit out of one sentence and made no sense.
I agree, but I guess my point is there’s a lot more evidence of Goff’s struggles without weapons or talent around him while Purdy hasn’t had that opportunity yet and has played exceptionally well for the situation/time he’s in.
I think they’re both top-10 overall and honestly I think it’s pretty reasonable to rank Goff over Purdy, but as a (biased) fan that’s just my reasoning for having Purdy over Goff as of right now.
EDIT: Holding the time of Purdy’s career is a completely fair argument against him as long as that’s consistent with how you rank Love/Stroud. My original argument was just pushing back against the weapons/stats comparison between the two.
I do. Im big on ya gotta do it again. Too many flash in the pans happen to make everybody a top 3 guy off 1 yr. I felt that way about Jefferson, Love, Stroud, etc. Now I may expect dudes to achieve it like Jefferson and Stroud but Ill wait to jump a guy with history (say Diggs for Jefferson, and guys like Goff, Old/broken Achilles Rodgers for Stroud). Im slow to label but I also dont try to predict a guys downfall every year. Like my fave player- Cam Heyward. For like 6 yrs everybody says his play is gonna wear off. Why not just wait til it happens? I guess it makes shit off-season fodder tho
The contextual evidence is that Goff has been among the worst QBs in the NFL off schedule in his career so he needs top tier weapons, protection, and coaching so the play never goes off schedule. When he has those things he’s been good but when he hasn’t he’s been bad. It’s not really controversial.
Again, Im just saying I think thats a stupid way to look at things. Every good QB has at 2 of those 3. Every single one. Its not a knock to struggle if you need all 3 to be spectacular. Most guys do. The fact this applies so widely just makes it so dumb to me
No. But those guys usually have a more athletic profile than Goff too. And again, 99% of QBs are viable only when things are clean and on time. And this is seriously short changing Goffs abilities here.
There is another QB that had the same stats as Purdy with the same team when it was slightly less talented. Is the consensus making the same arguments for him?
If you’re comparing Jimmy and Purdy’s stats and equating them I can’t really help you. Purdy is pretty far beyond the numbers that Jimmy put up and the advanced stats agree with that. Jimmy might have had worse skill position players but he had a better offensive line and a much better defense as well.
I also have no clue what your question is asking about the consensus making the same arguments for Jimmy. Jimmy never led the league in any stat and I don’t think most reasonable 49er fans ever argued him for MVP.
Two players and one of them is basically our only good offensive lineman.
This is also a pretty tired narrative considering that streak invoked our kicker missing a game winning 40 yard fg and Purdy getting concussed.
look I understand that dj isn't the guy but lets not be disrespectful here, he is not worse than justin fields or jjmc who has not taken a fucking practice snap yet.
edit. also kyler is getting some mad disrespect what is this. I get hes just coming off an injury but I thought he played pretty well coming off of it.
Cardinals were near the top of the league in points and yards per play when he was on the field last year. That was with a roster built to lose games so we could get MHJ. The offensive line and receiver room are much better, Trey broke out big time last year with Kyler, and seeing those 2 paired together is going to be fun.
Putting him over herbert is spicy as well, sorry i’m a homer but he is the only good thing this team has done right for years, makes me nut when he slings, herbert on the 9ers literally wins them the superbowl last year
Purdy's led the league in passer rating since the moment he stepped onto an NFL field.
While Lamar was busy throwing into triple coverage in the endzone Purdy was busy completing multiple playoff comebacks and the last time he walked off the field gave his team an overtime lead in the Superbowl.
The only argument is Allen, and that is a raw stats argument, not a success argument.
Whatever extra weapons we could give him, he would still be playing behind our middling-competent-at-best O-line. There’s a reason Purdy had the quickest release through most of the season; his pocket is made of damp saltines.
Burrow went to a SB Dak and the Boys haven't. Burrow won the AFC, Dakota has not. Burrow won his division back to back. Dakota has not. Rayne Prescott is a bum.
Kinda hard to do so when Rodgers and Brady were still playing insanely high caliber football, and Mahomes still exists, Burrow is great just not that level yet and that’s what the awards for (and for Lamar when it’s a down year in production)
Sorry, are you stupid? Oh right, you’re a cowboys fan of course you are. Purdy’s won 2x more playoff games than Dak in less than half as much time in the league. Try again.
You people love to pick and choose when wins are considered a QB stat and when they aren’t. I guess Herbert is a scrub since he has no playoff wins, right?
Dak hasn’t even earned the right to be compared to purdy and his post season games like this. Every year of his career he’s had a top 5 offensive roster and hasn’t even MADE a conference champ. Much less lost one.
Am I the only one who thinks Jordan Love is getting a shit ton of goodwill just for winning a playoff game?
I’d put Goff over him, if not Tua and Cousins as well
Not just a playoff game. It’s taking the team to the playoffs and winning a game when they were supposed to be terrible. Had the largest dead cap in the league. Gave the niners a real scare. You would have cousins off a torn Achilles over him? Has cousins even won a playoff game?
He threw for 4,000 yards and 32 TDs and was the best QB in the league down the stretch. He’s also the first QB to win as a seventh seed and came very close to beating the 49ers the next week. He was better statistically than most QBs last year.
The issue is that he had a 22:1 TD to INT ratio for like the final 9 games which is obviously unsustainable, especially when you consider he wasn’t all that good in the games before that. Since he’s only played one season it’s hard to know if he’s actually as good as his numbers suggest when you factor in an unsustainable stretch of TDs and INTs.
Yes. His first few games weren’t great but who’s were? This was his first season as a starter and it was better than Favre’s or Rodgers’. He led the youngest playoff team in the league for decades. I’m really excited about our rookies last year but they were all unproven. I watched those final nine games and he was surgical. You can say that it’s unsustainable but that doesn’t mean it didn’t happen and he’s not capable of being an elite QB in the league.
If this is a power ranking how do you have Aaron Rogers this high? 2 years ago he was 20th in Net Yards per Attempt and EPA per play, last year injured and this year 40.
Its down disrespectful the PFN and SN ranks for Purdy.
And I guess being number 1 in passing attempts wins games and makes you a HoF QB even being 10-20 range in efficiency stats.
PFN feels like the right one for purdy. At least until we see half of this season. Gotta see how defenses adjust and figure out his weaknesses this year and how he adapts to that.
I agree its kind of hard to probably slot Purdy right now because it does not feel like he should have been as good as he was last year.
With that said, I just can't get over ranking Herbert 5 and Purdy 9 that is pure disrespect. That is the result of only looking at a picture of these QBs and their pedigree and going Herbert should be better so he is and not the actual results of their play.
I think Pro Football Network nailed the Purdy ranking. IMO it’s fair to put him at 10 +- 1 or 2. If this season he performs like he did last season, then he’s a lock for top 5 but it’s probably too early to put him there at the moment
I’m a massive Purdy homer and even I was scratching my head at ranking him #2 overall. He’s definitely played well and has numbers but Allen, Burrow, Jackson have done so for longer and have shown me more arm talent thus far.
Watch the actual film and not the broadcast angles. A lot of his throws are released while the WR is still being covered tightly and hasn't broken from the top of the route. [Here is an example](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k_-Ryl1h9cw&t=1146s).
Also, Purdy led the NFL in passer rating against man blitzes. The Superbowl was the rare exception where the Chiefs incredible corners were still able to stick on WRs along with that blitz. Which btw came with 9 untouched blitzers.
...Height to see over the DL... lol. what does that even mean? His field vision is extraordinary. It's probably his best asset.
Jared Goff is top 10…you will see by end of season
Dak Prescott on any other team would be outside the top 15, but Cowboys want you to believe he’s good reaaaal bad
Actually it’s the opposite. Any other team’s QB that was 2nd team all pro and 2nd in MVP voting wouldn’t have people saying they shouldn’t be ranked inside the top 15.
But since he plays for the Cowboys…
This is a weird take. Usually people say Dak on any other team would be perceived as a great QB, but he's on the Cowboys so he gets more hate than he deserves.
We’ll see what exactly? More mediocre QB play? Goff doesn’t win or lose you games, he’s right where he belongs. He’s just okay and will always be just okay.
What is considered good qb play these days? When I was a kid, there was a gun slinger throwing picks all over all over the place, but I was told that's ok because the good outweighs the bad. Then came a guy who never threw picks, but his yards were less than some of his contemporaries, and I was told that it's efficiency that matters most. What is it now, having worse stats and less success but playing with worse players that makes for great qb play?
#15 Trevor Lawrence 4016 yards, 21:14 TD:INT, 65.6% completion, no playoff appearance.
#18 Baker Mayfield 4044 yards, 28:10 TD:INT, 64.3% completion 1-1 in playoffs for another 686 yards and 6:2…
That doesn’t make sense at all 😂 these are the only lists available right now, this is just getting the code ready so as the media releases more by training camp I can just add them in one by one
And when they do you can update the players rank accordingly. Using your Maye example two out of three sources, that you chose, currently do not have him ranked at all, so the current consensus would be “unranked”. Instead you have him placed ahead of Bryce Young, a player with three values being averaged.
Ultimately the whole thing is subjective, but currently it’s being presented as mathematical data that doesn’t follow mathematical rules.
So me, bum on the street, unranked by all 3 services... I am actually the consensus #1 qb?
Maybe you could/should have said that Not Ranked should average as a score of 40?
Again these aren’t my rankings, just saw the cbs list and wanted to see where ppl compare, this will be updated as we get close to training camp and ppl start putting out their lists.
I know he had a shit “season” last year and he’s not a long term option, but any ranking that has Justin Fields above Daniel Jones is just silly. At the very minimum, Jones can run a proper NFL offence and actually pass the ball. Fields is literally a RB with a Deep ball and screens 99% of the time, if you’re ranking him as a QB he’s 32/32 every time
He’s never ran a proper offense, he’s hurt every year, has one of the worst W-L records and on top of it is a 46 mil cap hit. Not to mention he leads the league almost every year in passes behind the line of scrimmage and shortest yards in the air.
I have died on this hill for 2 long years, and I am hoping that this is the year I am proven right—I still think Wilson has what it takes to be a great QB at this point in his career. What I can’t do with is how people claim Wilson was never elite… dude was incredible in Seattle post-LOB. I also feel like the guy helped usher in this slew of true dual threat QBs that we see nowadays. Cam and Vick were great dual threats proceeding him, but neither have had the success in the air game Russ has
Watson can’t be above competent QBs like Baker and Geno until he proves hes actually good still.
Herbert is undoubtedly number 5. Not his fault he’s been in terrible situations until now.
I’d put Kirk and Goff ahead of Tua and probably Love until he shows he can put it together for a full season
O’Connell, Carr and a few others over Minshew is insane lol I think he’s gonna surprise a ton of people next season. Dude is gonna light it up with 12 personnel
I genuinely think they’re all currently better QBs than Stafford. Historically? No, but currently? Yes.
Stafford has been injured a lot recently and that’s always a major concern in addition every guy you mentioned except for Herbert had a better season than Stafford this past year and Herbert’s numbers are very similar still
Stafford was very good but you genuinely think he was better than Stroud, Purdy, and Dak who were all legit MVP candidates this past season?
I don’t even think you could make a case he was better than Stroud and on no planet did he have anywhere near as good a year as Dak or Purdy and I say this as a staunch cowboys hater
If you look at the stats he’s by far worse than the 3 dudes I was talking about and comparable to Herbert outside of yards
Stafford: 62.6% comp 3,965 yards 24 td 11 int
Herbert: 65.1% comp 3,134 yards 20 td 7 int
Stroud: 63.9% comp 4,108 yards 23 td 5 int
Purdy: 69.4% comp 4,280 yards 31 td 11 int
Dak: 69.5% comp 4,516 yards 36 td 9 int
Rams had the most dead cap in the league or second most. They were supposed to tank. End up winning 10 games. Losing by a point to the lions in a game Stafford played out of his mind. You can’t just use stats to compare QBs.
Stafford was playing lights out the last 6 games of the year. In the playoffs, he threw 367 2 tds/0 ints. In fact, he has averaged 307.9 yards in the playoffs his whole career. Brock had 3 tds in three games and averaged 258 yards(223.8 playoff career) in those games. Anyway, if I'm choosing a qb for next year, I'm taking Stafford over any of those guys because he is better now.
These are power rankings eh smart ass. They're supposed to be about who the best is now. Judging by the last 6 games makes as much sense as one year and excluding other years. If you want Purdy, Dak etc over Stafford, have at it bud.
This is actually a pretty good example of why stats don't tell anything close to the whole story. Matthew Stafford played out of his mind in the second half of the year, and willed his team to multiple wins by making low percentage throw after low percentage throw. Unlike Dak and Herbert, he had the killer instinct in several games to drive his team down to win. He was the only quarterback besides Patrick Mahomes to set the Mike MacDonald defense in Baltimore on fire. Stroud and Purdy both got eaten alive by it, in contrast.
Well playing if isn’t how you should rank people. Since he has been in the league you can’t say he is the 3rd best qb. If my aunt had a dick she would be my uncle.
Meh, revenge is a dish best served cold. At this time next year you'll have the same people saying they were high on him all along. I'm just waiting for "we just haven't seen anything from him", while in the same breath adding a rookie who has never played a down in the NFL to this list.
It's the offseason. We need stuff to argue about.

Daniel Jones was ranked 46th out of every QB that played last year. Don’t think it’s unrealistic that every QB drafted will play better than him.
I remember prior to his rookie season, Mahomes was ranked something like 50th in league.
How so? I guess it depends what exactly do these power rankings even mean. If they are a prediction of the qbs upcoming seasons stats or how important they are for teams success then including them in the rankings makes total sense. None of them should be above Minshew
I am jaded and disagree with all of this and the word consensus all of a sudden.
I mean, technically it is the “consensus” between the 3 rankings lmao.
Bryce behind all those rookies that have not even taken a snap yet. Feels bad man....

Nah he’s way too slow. Absolutely no spark to his game.

The fact this applies so widely just makes it so dumb to me
Not every QB is bad out of structure when the play breaks down. That’s just flat out dumb. Goff is only a viable QB when things clean and on time.
[удалено]
Two players and one of them is basically our only good offensive lineman. This is also a pretty tired narrative considering that streak invoked our kicker missing a game winning 40 yard fg and Purdy getting concussed.
Yeah Josh Allen is easily a top 3 QB. Purdy’s in the 8-14 range imo
I feel like Allen is easily the second best in the league and there isn't even a close third. Get that man a ring!
He has ran into nuclear Mahomes 3 times in the playoffs. Very unlucky.
I like you
Yeah, I don’t think he’s even a top 10 QB tbh, I’d have him somewhere in the 11-15 area but that 2 really took him down low
Why? At least Purdy can beat maho-
At least Dak can make it to the Sup-
Dak has never lost a super bowl, don't even compare his greatness to your bum QB
At least the 49ers have a shorter drought than the Cow-
You tried
Bryce Young really getting the shit end of the stick on his NFL career
I wanted Stroud so I got the shit end of the stick.
Agree, Bryce Young on Vikings would have worked better than JJ.
SN appears to be going for the rage clicks.
look I understand that dj isn't the guy but lets not be disrespectful here, he is not worse than justin fields or jjmc who has not taken a fucking practice snap yet. edit. also kyler is getting some mad disrespect what is this.
Fields has a pair of Not Ranked ratings which should really count against him
CBS rating skews all the data and ruins this
Purdy over Lamar, Allen, and Burrow should get you fired
Burrow is coming off an injury, so I can maybe see the reasoning behind that one?
The entirety of those CBS rankings are just ragebait - it totally messes up the consensus when 33% of it shit for clicks.
Putting him over herbert is spicy as well, sorry i’m a homer but he is the only good thing this team has done right for years, makes me nut when he slings, herbert on the 9ers literally wins them the superbowl last year
Right, imagine if they had a QB lead the league in deep ball accuracy, or completed air yards per attempt. Then they might really have a QB...
Obviously what matters for QB greatness is how many times a game you throw the ball no matter of inefficient each attempt is.
Purdy on the chargers last year makes the playoffs. Herbert can’t process the game anywhere near as well or as quickly as purdy can.
Lmao dumbest shit ive read this year, purdy wins 1 game maybe
Purdy's led the league in passer rating since the moment he stepped onto an NFL field. While Lamar was busy throwing into triple coverage in the endzone Purdy was busy completing multiple playoff comebacks and the last time he walked off the field gave his team an overtime lead in the Superbowl. The only argument is Allen, and that is a raw stats argument, not a success argument.
Purdy ahead of Stroud even. Imagine Stroud in that 9ers offense.
Whatever extra weapons we could give him, he would still be playing behind our middling-competent-at-best O-line. There’s a reason Purdy had the quickest release through most of the season; his pocket is made of damp saltines.
Dak Prescott... Come on
I know right? How is lower than that always-injured bum joe burrow?
Burrow went to a SB Dak and the Boys haven't. Burrow won the AFC, Dakota has not. Burrow won his division back to back. Dakota has not. Rayne Prescott is a bum.
Joe Burrow has never been an all pro or been higher than 4th in MVP voting.
Kinda hard to do so when Rodgers and Brady were still playing insanely high caliber football, and Mahomes still exists, Burrow is great just not that level yet and that’s what the awards for (and for Lamar when it’s a down year in production)
*lost a super bowl
Prescott in the top 10 is hilarious. Unless we’re ranking choking ability, of course.
Yeah the 2nd team all pro and 2nd in MVP voting shouldn’t be ranked top 10. Hilarious.
[удалено]
[удалено]
49ers flair talking about choking ok Purdy should obviously be no.1 then
Sorry, are you stupid? Oh right, you’re a cowboys fan of course you are. Purdy’s won 2x more playoff games than Dak in less than half as much time in the league. Try again.
Nice participation trophies, bro!! I’m sure your girlfriend that totally goes to school in another state is impressed.
You people love to pick and choose when wins are considered a QB stat and when they aren’t. I guess Herbert is a scrub since he has no playoff wins, right?
We’re not talking about Herbert but to your point, yeah, he’s not high on my list either.
Playoff games? hang the banner. Too bad I won't get to see purdy choke in the sb again considering it's our year :/
HAHAHAHA
In case you forgot, the last time Brock Purdy was on a football field he had a lead in overtime of the Superbowl.
And lost.
So the defense coughed up the lead he gave them? You really got me there.
So he didn’t lose? You really got me there.
Dak wouldn't need overtime
you're right, he would have just given the Chiefs multiple pick-6's in the first quarter.
I’d put Goff over him, if not Tua and Cousins as well
It also has to do with being the best QB in the league over the second half of the season.
Goff stays getting disrespected nothing new to see.
Not just a playoff game. It’s taking the team to the playoffs and winning a game when they were supposed to be terrible. Had the largest dead cap in the league. Gave the niners a real scare. You would have cousins off a torn Achilles over him? Has cousins even won a playoff game?
2019 Wild Card Vikings vs Saints
He looked good last year but it was only one year. Let’s see what he does this year cause some have gone crazy over him.
I'm with you. Love has like less than 8 games of performing well and he's now a top qb? So far he's a flash in the pan.
Stupid ranking lists in the offseason. A tradition unlike any other.
PFN rankings for Purdy are reasonable. SN is a pile of shit
Browns did all that just to get the same rated QB
I’d put Baker above Watson
I think Pro Football Network nailed the Purdy ranking. IMO it’s fair to put him at 10 +- 1 or 2. If this season he performs like he did last season, then he’s a lock for top 5 but it’s probably too early to put him there at the moment
I’m a massive Purdy homer and even I was scratching my head at ranking him #2 overall. He’s definitely played well and has numbers but Allen, Burrow, Jackson have done so for longer and have shown me more arm talent thus far.
Purdy just led the league in deep ball accuracy and completed air yards per attempt. Exactly what is his arm talent limitation?
When did I say he has a limitation? The other 4 have shown me more thus far, that’s all.
Arm strength in press man-to-man and bad weather and height to see over big DL are his physical limitations. We saw that in the Super Bowl.
Jared Goff is top 10…you will see by end of season Dak Prescott on any other team would be outside the top 15, but Cowboys want you to believe he’s good reaaaal bad
I don't think there is a group that hates on Dak more than Cowboys fans do
Actually it’s the opposite.
I mean we’ve seen the cowboys without dak and it wasn’t pretty, I think he’s the most underrated QB besides purdy.
Dak above Herbert is also wild, dude beats him in all the metrics except … wins lol
We’ll see what exactly? More mediocre QB play? Goff doesn’t win or lose you games, he’s right where he belongs. He’s just okay and will always be just okay.
Eat grass
What is considered good qb play these days? When I was a kid, there was a gun slinger throwing picks all over all over the place, but I was told that's ok because the good outweighs the bad. Then came a guy who never threw picks, but his yards were less than some of his contemporaries, and I was told that it's efficiency that matters most. What is it now, having worse stats and less success but playing with worse players that makes for great qb play?
Dak could be reborn 10 times and he still wont make it to a super bowl which Burrow already has
Participation trophy enjoyer lmao.
SN rankings are a pile of shit
Watson is way too high. Dude legit looked like one of the worst QBs when he played last year.
Two top 25 QB’s 😎.
Brock at 2 and Stafford at 16 is so criminal
#15 Trevor Lawrence 4016 yards, 21:14 TD:INT, 65.6% completion, no playoff appearance. #18 Baker Mayfield 4044 yards, 28:10 TD:INT, 64.3% completion 1-1 in playoffs for another 686 yards and 6:2…
Not Ranked should be averaged as a score of zero.
Wouldn’t make sense, if I did that for Maye his Avg rank would be 9.33
Well yeah, that’s how averages work. You’re citing sources and then cherry picking the results.
So Drake maye is the 9th rank QB in the NFL is what you’re saying
Nope, I’m saying based off of the sources you chose to use, his numerical value would be 9.33.
Not ranked is bad in this data. Why should a guy that gets NR be rated as better than Mahomes?
That doesn’t make sense at all 😂 these are the only lists available right now, this is just getting the code ready so as the media releases more by training camp I can just add them in one by one
And when they do you can update the players rank accordingly. Using your Maye example two out of three sources, that you chose, currently do not have him ranked at all, so the current consensus would be “unranked”. Instead you have him placed ahead of Bryce Young, a player with three values being averaged. Ultimately the whole thing is subjective, but currently it’s being presented as mathematical data that doesn’t follow mathematical rules.
Which would make total sense for a player who hasn’t taken a single snap at the pro level.
So me, bum on the street, unranked by all 3 services... I am actually the consensus #1 qb? Maybe you could/should have said that Not Ranked should average as a score of 40?
Or you’re not ranked lol
No, it should be ranked as either no impact (like done here) or as 32/32 (because not ranked means bad and bad in this context is a higher number
Again these aren’t my rankings, just saw the cbs list and wanted to see where ppl compare, this will be updated as we get close to training camp and ppl start putting out their lists.
CBS hates the Lions and i hate them
As a dolphins fan, I can’t fathom Allen being ranked 4th by a group of actual football writers
Not Ranked should be averaged as a score of zero.
No milf hunter? Don't hate where Rodgers is, could see him going way up or way down from there depending on his recovery.
Jared Goff deserves so much more respect I mean wtf
Dak is overrated
"Consensus"
I have died on this hill for 2 long years, and I am hoping that this is the year I am proven right—I still think Wilson has what it takes to be a great QB at this point in his career. What I can’t do with is how people claim Wilson was never elite… dude was incredible in Seattle post-LOB. I also feel like the guy helped usher in this slew of true dual threat QBs that we see nowadays. Cam and Vick were great dual threats proceeding him, but neither have had the success in the air game Russ has
Massive Goff disrespect. Dak ranked about 15 spots to high.
The 2nd team all pro and 2nd in MVP voting shouldn’t be ranked inside the top 10? Y’all yap just to yap lmao.
Even Jerry jones knows Dak is a JAG at this point, why hes not even getting paid and they can’t wait to send him to free agency next year
Goff - 4 playoff wins Cousins + love + Tua + Hurts - 4 playoff wins
How the fuck are you using playoff wins as a qb metric when Stafford had zero playoff wins in Detroit
Goff, hurts too low. Purdy, dak too high
Carr finished around 12th in like every QB stat and is somehow ranked 22
Id take stroud or hurts before herbert myself
He throws the ball a lot but not very efficiently.
Feels disrespectful to Hurts
[удалено]
I genuinely think they’re all currently better QBs than Stafford. Historically? No, but currently? Yes. Stafford has been injured a lot recently and that’s always a major concern in addition every guy you mentioned except for Herbert had a better season than Stafford this past year and Herbert’s numbers are very similar still
Stafford was fucking unbelievable last season. This is a wild take
Stafford was very good but you genuinely think he was better than Stroud, Purdy, and Dak who were all legit MVP candidates this past season? I don’t even think you could make a case he was better than Stroud and on no planet did he have anywhere near as good a year as Dak or Purdy and I say this as a staunch cowboys hater If you look at the stats he’s by far worse than the 3 dudes I was talking about and comparable to Herbert outside of yards Stafford: 62.6% comp 3,965 yards 24 td 11 int Herbert: 65.1% comp 3,134 yards 20 td 7 int Stroud: 63.9% comp 4,108 yards 23 td 5 int Purdy: 69.4% comp 4,280 yards 31 td 11 int Dak: 69.5% comp 4,516 yards 36 td 9 int
Pro tip: the season doesn’t just encompass the last 6 games of the year and one playoff game. Hope that helps!
As a Lions fan, we dealt with that for years.
Its nothing new for him its a constant in his career.
Burrow that high is ridiculous
They must be assuming "when healthy". When he plays he is as good as anyone. The problem is he is always hurt.
Well playing if isn’t how you should rank people. Since he has been in the league you can’t say he is the 3rd best qb. If my aunt had a dick she would be my uncle.
Knock knock, Who’s there? Injuries… Injuries who? Injuries are going to fuck this list up so bad you will laugh your ass off at the final rankings
This is Goff erasure
Just adding fuel

To be fair, it’s Lawrence who’s been putting people to sleep.

Hey played injured last season. At least I hope that’s the explanation for Jags fans sake
I’ll buy the dip on Hurts and BY
Just a few more games and nobody will put Stroud outside top 5 again
The Richardson disrespect is out of this world.
