Does the Mix-in setting not work for you?

kevroc

It's not about if something works, its whether a power tool can do it better :)

ProteinPapi777

The mix-in setting makes the oreo to dissolve in the ice cream. No chuncks…

ausername_8

Interesting. I got chunks when I made a cookie n cream, but I also used mini oreos. It might depend on the texture of the base.

QuellinIt

Yea I make cookies and cream every night and its still leaves chunks. Some tips I have learned: - Obviously do the butter knife center hole in the middle for adding the oreo chunks in. - Make sure to cut the oreo's up into fairly small chunks before adding them in. If the chunks are too big to start the blades will just break them apart instead of pushing them around in the ice cream. - When loading the chunks into the center try and get as much of the chunks as far down as possible for more even distribution. I typically do this by pushing down on the chunks after every one or two 3 finger pinches of chunks. - Lastly I always use the soft icecream setting for the initial mix. Im sure if you use the ice cream setting it might still be too hard to spread the chunks into.

I’ll add to this: dunk the Oreos in milk for half a minute, then freeze. They hold up much better as a mix in this way for me.

Gems_and_Jade

Nice! How did you figure that out?

ProteinPapi777

Youtuber e4cm did this

Jessum

Totally depends i'd say!

Head-Barracuda1038

Dunk them in chocolate and freeze then add 😂😂

ProteinPapi777

That’s a great idea!!

gkd181

I used the mix in button with Oreos and had chunks. I even used the mini Oreos.

creamiaddict

I to get chunks but I want bigger chunks. OPs method maximizes chunkyness

ProteinPapi777

Just wanted to add that using the mix-in setting my oreos always get dissolved

ZegoggleZeydonothing

This is almost exactly how McDonald's does it.

Lea_R_ning

I adore your sense of humor!! 😂

BigOrkoo

I feel like I would break something like this. 😂

I tried everything and the oreo just gets crushed in. Youruber e4cm who experiments a lot with creami’s have the same problem. Maybe you have the newest version?

DarthSmiff

I have the newest version and “mix in” obliterates anything I try to mix in. No good size chunks. It just like dissolves things.

cactusqro

No. This is FUN.

creamiaddict

"Zero issues" is subjective. Maybe for you it mixes well but maybe the pieces are "too small" for someone else making your method not suitable.  Everyone has different preferences and tastes. My mix in, also works "well" with "zero issues" in terms of it getting mixed in. But if I want full sized chunks and maximum chunkyness, then no, mix in option does not work flawlessly for that.
