Yep, the total came out to $31.49 and it powers on and everything. The drill bit that enters the lid looks brand new and has no signs of debris or usage. I would say that the owner donated it because they didn't have the space/time to use it. Otherwise, it looks brand new! I'm super excited to use it when the other parts come in a few days!
UPDATE: The replacement parts came in and everything works phenomenally, I'm so happy I have a machine I can use to make low sugar desserts for my diabetic mother.
I’m guessing extreme friction between metal and plastic, just the way it’s engineered. It’s a very widespread problem.
Ninja didn’t even ask me to return the one I have, they said to dispose of it any way I wanted, which probably isn’t a good thing because they could easily end up in thrift stores, such as this one.
You can fill the pint with Fairlife chocolate milk alone. After a couple of spins with a splash of extra liquid, it's crunchy and chocolatey like a Frosty. There are modifications to make it smoother, but it's actually genuinely my favorite recipe so far.
Fairlife does tend to form a big hump. I use a paring knife and stab into the hump, rather than scraping it.
Sangria slush is pretty great -- don't use berries tho, because of the seeds -- and canned Mandarin orange sorbet tastes just like canned Mandarin oranges.
I’ve watched a ton of tutorials on YouTube. Yes you do need to blend/crush chunks of fruit before processing in Creami. It is not a blender. You may get away with it a time or two. But sooner or later it will self destruct. That’s what happened to my first one. Different foods freeze at different hardness.
I've never blended. If you have an immersion blender maybe try using that but I'm trying to minimize how many different things I have to clean. Open can, pour can into creami container. I usually go around in a circle like a clock and cut the slices into little chunks with a butter knife. You can also just buy slices instead. Have to experiment with different brands. Whether you like it better in heavy syrup or in juice with no sugar added. There's some trial and error but it's so much easier than almost every recipe I found on here with the exception of just pouring chocolate milk in.
Wonder if it’s one of the ones that won’t turn on after it’s been idle and you have to unplug and plug it back in. Owner probably got a new one for free and donated it.
Wow, that’s a steal.
Yea I thought so too when I walked into the store, thanks!
If it is $28.99, this was a true steal. Especially considering how new it looks.

Mine IS new (had it for a week) and obvs looks new but it basically caught on fire the 4th time I used it. Proceed with caution with a used one!
Will do! Thanks for the heads up!
Same. On my second and so far fire free lol
Ha! Fingers crossed neither of us will need a recipe for baked Alaska!
Do you know what caused it to catch fire??

That sangria slush sounds amazing for the summer time! Thanks for the recommendations!
My go-to recipes are very simple. 1. Freeze a can of pineapple slices 2. Same as above but add a little whole milk 3. Freeze chocolate milk
Wow that sounds great! I'll add that to my shopping list this week. Thanks!
If you like pears at all definitely try canned pears. Comes out amazing as well
Do you need to blend pineapple slices first?

I thought the purchase would be a mistake and it would gather dust like other appliances. I use this everyday, my spouse demands no sugar ice cream!
That’s a really good price! Did it come with the top and blade piece?
It unfortunately did not, but I have ordered those from the official ninja site and it will arrive in a few days!
jealous!
Pleaseeeeee let us now if and how it works. Congratulations!!!!
Noice!
Wowoowow
No wayyyyyy
