this is fruit so it's a sorbet. There is sugar in fruit naturally - so even though it's "unsweetened" that just means there's not added sugar. but there is still sugar.
I have done unsweetened applesauce in mine, and I believe I used the Sorbet button. (It was a while back.) I think Lite Ice Cream would also work, I think they are the same setting.
Yes, I did, it was very delicious. I'd added some cinnamon, too, as I rarely eat apesauce without cinnamon. Was very smooth after only 1 spin, but I did an additional respin anyway, wanting it to be just a smidge more cohesive.
I hope yours turns out just as well, too.
